Originally built in 1963, this architecturally-significant home was carved into the rock of the San Jacinto Mountains in south Palm Springs. The home's footprint is circular in design, with a circular cut-out in the roof that reveals a circular pool & spa. The home is located on one of the most private streets in Palm Springs, ending where the desert wilderness begins.
When you stay at this home, you will enjoy magical, panoramic views of the city and the surrounding mountains. You will even enjoy the view from your large, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, featuring new Monogram appliances and a large Dacor cooktop island. The kitchen has an eat-in black granite bar area as well as a 32" LCD television.
This home features two master suites with king-sized beds at opposite ends of the home. Both masters have private bathrooms with an abundance of new glass tile and modern fixtures. Both masters have walls of glass looking out to the pool and the sweeping views beyond. The first master features a 42" LCD wall-mounted television with DVD player. From the quilted white leather bed to the white leather Corbusier-inspired seating area, this bedroom is Palm Springs luxe. The en suite bathroom (300 square feet large!) of white iridescent glass tile features a very generous shower with a wall of glass looking out to the view beyond. The neighboring properties are on estate-sized lots at lower grades on the mountainside, so there are never issues of privacy. A new LG full size washer and dryer set is also in the master bath, as well as another television and a groovy white and yellow circular ball chair.
The second master and the third bedroom each feature a 32" LCD wall-mounted television with integrated DVD player. The third bedroom has a queen sized bed, and also has its own private bathroom with walls of glass tile and a window in the shower that faces the rock of the mountainside.
From the furnishings to the artwork, this home presents a fresh, modern take on an architectural icon. More importantly, the location is absolutely superb; scramble up the rocks at the end of the street and you can hike all day above the city. Take your pick of championship golf courses in south Palm Springs. Lounge around your very private pool and spa and enjoy the limitless sightline. In the evening, you are only a few minutes from the restaurants and nightlife of downtown Palm Springs. Fabulous!
