My husband and I were able to stay here for 4 nights. We can honestly say that it is a wonderful house. It is a tropical paradise! The views of the Pacific ocean are amazing. Every evening we would go out to the beach and see the sunset into the Pacific Ocean. Wow! The place was very clean. The cook and property person were great. We would highly recommend this property. The owner was extremely helpful and available as well. We do not speak spanish. He even gave us a telephone number to call if we needed help with translation. We hope to go back one day.

The Best Vacation Ever!!
The Best Vacation Ever!!
This villa is amazing! The pictures don't do it justice. The living area is HUGE! Plenty of room for everyone to stretch out. It's like having a beautiful park all to yourself. The pool area is really big with lots of very comfortable furniture and the trees are awesome and the plants are tropical and beautiful. Sergio and Marta are the caretakers and are wonderful people. Marta cooks like a dream and took such good care of us. Her husband Sergio was always doing nice things for us. He brought us some fresh sugarcane and coconuts and woke us one night to tell us that turtles were nesting on the beach and off we went to see that miracle! We had a great time with a bonfire on the beach. Sergio also rented us horses to ride on the beach and 4 wheelers. We always felt very safe and secure. Everything about our trip was perfect. The owner of the villa, Fredrico was on top of everything. He will provide you with maps from Managua and grocery lists to help with shopping. He called us the day after we arrived to make sure everything was perfect and even called me after I was back in the states to make sure we all were happy with our experience. We stayed in Managua the first night at Fredrico's families hotel and it was also outstanding! The rooms were beautiful! I could go on forever about this wonderful place! I am coming back next year for sure. I can't wait!!

AMAZING! My wife and I just returned from this beach house for our honeymoon and we were blown away! The pictures really do not do the property justice when you see the sights and hear the sounds. Neither of us spoke very much Spanish but because of the excellent service the owner provided we were well taken care of! The onsite housekeeper cooked us fabulous meals three times a day and the groundskeeper kept the pool clean, the flower gardens green and even gave us a carriage ride down the beach to the local market. The value here was exceptional, you really feel like you're getting what you pay for. BEFORE GOING: -We did not speak very much Spanish and I would highly recommend having a good grasp especially since not very many people speak English in Nicaragua. -Communicate with the owner and research the area. There are things to do locally but you may have to use your imagination as a lot of it will be up to you. -Leave a lot of time open. Some of our favorite times were when we were doing... nothing! -Take the precautions. We did a ton of research and got shots, brought water filters, bug spray, sun screen, and money belts. The only thing we ended up using was a ton of sunscreen but it's good to have peace of mind :) -Rent a vehicle if you want some more adventure. My wife and I had enough fun collecting seashells, horseback riding, swimming in the pool, and reading in the hammock, but if that's not quite your speed, grab a 4x4 and a good map and meet the locals! I would recommend this to couples, groups of couples, and families. If you're looking for a place to feel total peace of mind and carefree, this is it!

Perfect Beach Vacation House in Nicaragua
Perfect Beach Vacation House in Nicaragua
Our family of 4, including 6 & 4-year-old boys, has traveled all over Central America (except El Salvador), and this is honestly our favorite beach house. In fact, my older son cried when it was time to leave. Other reviewers are correct in saying the pictures just cannot give this house its due. Upon arrival, we rounded the corner from our car and our jaws just dropped - amazing home, amazing views. Marta & Sergio, the home's caretakers, really took care of everything. Our bags were out of the car before we could turn back around and our groceries were unpacked in the kitchen. Upon the advice of the owner, we did our big grocery shopping at the Pali in Rivas, but were able to easily pick up other items, including chicken, in Pochomil and Masachapa (getting fresh fish there is a must - we picked up 5 giant lobster tails for $15). Marta is an amazing cook. She fixed us chicken 2 different ways (her "al vapor" is delicious) and elevated our fresh lobster tails to fine-dining quality cuisine. Sergio brought the horses over one afternoon and we had an amazing hour-long ride for $10 (meaning you take the horses by yourselves). One of the best parts - we were the only Americans we saw for 3 whole days. Being in the non-tourist area was simply awesome. Our boys had tons of fun with Marta's 6-year-old son chasing the baby chicks all over the yard. The pool was perfect for them to rinse & cool off in the afternoons and the fresh water stream made for a great splash area. The waves in front can be very dangerous and require adult supervision - no splashing in the surf without mom & dad. There were areas down the beach that were perfect for bodysurfing. We brought home huge bags of beautiful shells - I've never seen so many perfectly unique shells on another beach. All in all, I cannot imagine a better place to stay - the house, the view, the people - I hope we can go back soon.

We were so pleased with the whole experience. You really can't tell from the photos just how vast the living space is and the well maintained property provides equally spacious areas in which to relax and supports a diverse population of birds and other creatures that sing day and night! We thoroughly enjoyed the food that was prepared by the exceptionally gracious house staff who live nearby and who accomodated any vacation need including relaxation and adventure. Horseback riding was great way to see countryside and beach. The beach felt very private and was a great swimming, surfing and shelling venue. Daytrips to Granada, Maysaya and San Juan Del Sur in rental car are doable and recommended. Highly recommend!

After choosing this home from the website, we were excited to get there and actually see what it was like....let me just say...pictures DO NOT do this property justice. The view is breathtaking, the property is gorgeous, the home was clean and beautiful. It far surpassed what we were expecting. The owner was extremely helpful in providing us with a shopping list of all the things we would need to buy and take home for our private chef to prepare authentic Nica cuisine. What a treat to be so pampered. The people who cooked and maintained the property during our stay we so wonderful, they truly helped make our vacation fabulous! There are tons of things to do in the area, I recommend inspirationtours.com, the owner Dan lives a few miles from this property and runs a tourism company. Anything from rafting, kayaking, four-wheeling, petroglyph tours...etc! We did it all and it was a blast! He does speak fluent English and Spanish and knows the country very well, so that was very helpful. All in all, we didn't have a bad moment or feel in danger in any way our entire vacation....in fact, the people were among some of the nicest, most welcoming people I've met in some time. I do recommend brushing up on Spanish and bringing a small translating dictionary as not many people speak English. I highly recommend Nica as a vacation desitination and I even more highly reccomend this property for your stay! I can't wait to come back!

What a gem! The pictures can't even describe how beautiful this place is. We felt so comfortable here that we didn't want to leave. The beach, waves, rock formations and tidal pools helped make this rental home part of the natural enviornment and a testament to the beauty of Nicaragua. The home itself had plenty of space and lounging areas, a nice stereo to play our iPods on, fresh water swimming pool, bar area and a staff that was both helpful and sweet. It was very clean and well maintained. I do suggest you brush up on your Spanish and bring a dictionary to communicate with the locals since most of them do not speak English. Also, many of the roads are unpaved and an SUV or 4 Wheel drive would be helpful. The Nica cuisine was fresh and tasty. The grocery list we received from the owner was very helpful so the cook could prepare traditional meals. We bought fresh fish and lobsters that were prepared to our liking. I would highly recommend this home away vacation rental!

"Shhh - don't tell anyone, we want to keep this place all to ourselves..." Property. The property is exactly as shown on the website, absolutely beautiful. There are two reasonably sized bedrooms, with private bathrooms. The living area is essentially an outdoor veranda, where you will spend most of your time. The kitchen is small but adequate. The grounds are well maintained given the arid climate at the time we were there. The pool is small, and given that it is located under trees, constantly covered with leaves, despite the caretaker's attempts to keep it clean. However, it is a welcome place to cool off. The beach is magnificent. You could walk in either direction all day without reaching the end. Also, there is hardly anyone on the beach. The character of the beach changes considerably throughout the day as the tide changes. At times it is good for swimming, and at other times, for light surfing. It alone is worth the visit. Service. The property comes with a night watchman, a groundskeeper and the caretaker that will cook and clean for you. They live on the property and are absolutely wonderful people who took care of our every need. They were a big part in making this a wonderful vacation. Things to do. The best thing to do here is absolutely nothing, other than walking on the beach or swimming. But if you must, there are a few day trips that you can take. We enjoyed Leon. Suggestions. A car is almost mandatory. If you plan to do much driving a 4x4 should be considered. The roads anywhere other than the main highway are challenging to say the least. Purchase as many groceries (other than sea food), as you can in Managua, before heading to the property. Although there are some small stores within a half-hour drive of the property, they are not as good as the main stores in Managua. Managua is a “good” hour + drive from the property. US dollars are widely accepted with exchange rates almost as good as the banks. However, as everywhere else, keeping some local currency on hand is recommended. Overall. Ideal spot for two couples. Good place to get away from it all for a totally relaxing vacation - and to do nothing!! Two weeks a must. One of the few places we would go back to, and we have been to many other places in this wide and wonderful world. Judy & Das. Sue & Tony.
