Why the Owner Chose Flagstaff
In a mere 2 hour drive north from sunny Phoenix, we can be sipping hot chocolate on our cabin deck listening to the pine trees sway in the cool breeze. In winter, if it's raining here, it's probably snowing at the cabin! Quick, get in the car and grab the sleds!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
There are not many authentic log cabins in Flagstaff...much less, ones that sit on 2.5 acres and border the national forest. At slightly higher elevation than downtown Flagstaff, the cabin is just a bit cooler in summer and snowier in winter. It's just before you hit the turnoff for Snow Bowl Ski Resort. Since it's on the north side of Flagstaff, it's a perfect spot for exploring northern AZ (Canyon is only 72 miles away)!
Owner's Map of Flagstaff
I currently reside in Phoenix with my husband and 3 great kids... but love escaping to our cabin in Flagstaff. With 3 kids (ages 7, 9, 11) we have less and less time to make it up there so we have decided to let others enjoy it while we can't.
I work in Cave Creek School District as the foreign language coordinator and grant director. I also freelance as a grant writer and external evaluator. I love languages and traveling!

We had an incredible time at this cabin. Escaping the 110 degree heat down in the valley, the view, temp and location couldn't get any better. During our stay, we were able to visit the Grand Cyn; only an hr drive away, went on the Scenic Skyride at Snowbowl and also to the Lowell Observitory to star gaze. We also enjoyed trail hikes, lingering dear and simply sitting on the deck viewing the picture perfect scenery. We are looking forward to going back.

This cabin is just beautiful! It has everything you need, and Cristina gave detailed information so our stay was just fabulous! My four year old twins ask almost every day since our visit to go back to the "log cabin." The woodwork is stunning, and the views are incredible. There are plenty of toys for the kids to play with, and the location is awesome. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Owner response:Thank you all for your wonderful comments. I'm so happy that the cabin lived up to your expectations and has gained a special place in your life (just like mine!). Come again soon! Thanks, Cristina

Our vacation in this cabin was so peaceful and fun, in a winter wonderland. Such a comfortable, cozy, well-appointed house, with amazing views of the mountains and surrounding forest. There was plenty of room and charm! We were centrally located for day trips to Grand Canyon, Antelope Slot Canyon, Sedona, and Phoenix. But we also really enjoyed being close to shops and restaurants in Flagstaff.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hidden Hollow Log Cabin. It was a great central location for exploring the natural wonders of Arizona (Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Canyon de Chelly), but it also is a great spot for staying put and enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of the surroundings. I will definitely be going back!!

I have been in my share of condo and home rentals so I always enter with skepticism because pictures aren't always what they seem. And this is the case again-except in this case the house was better than the pictures and the pictures were what drew me to the cabin. From the workmanship of the cabin to the attention to every details that a renter would need to enjoy the time, Hidden Hollow has it all...and more! Breathtaking views of the highest peak in Arizona, a 3/4 wrap around balcony, and the best home theater system I've heard in any rental EVER. Everything about this rental has been perfectly thought out and I could not have asked for anything more except more time there. It's close enough to town to go in for meals but the kitchen is fully stocked with top-notch utensils for even a picky chef. If you are going to Flagstaff you know there are endless outdoor activities available but by the time you wake up, have coffee on the porch, take in the view, stretch or do some yoga, it's time for a mid-morning nap. Time just creeps by slowly as you breathe fresh air, listen to the birds, and keep an eye out for some of the wild life. I could go on but the bottom line is that Hidden Hollow is an excellent value and a beautiful place I visit on a regular basis.

Cristina (owner of this property) was an absolute joy to work with, and has taken great pride in maintaining such a top notch property, for our enjoyment! Once you've stayed at this property, there's no reason to consider anything else. Located just a few minutes north of Flag. You hear nobody, no neighbors close by, you're at thee top of the hill, the privacy and views are second to none. A wonderful upscale, yet cozy log cabin home, very kid friendly, with a plethora of hiking trails/fire roads out your back door, off your deck, thru the National Forest Reserve. We enjoyed our home cooked breakfast each morning from this cabin, prepared and packed our lunches for daily hikes, nearly 10 minutes from downtown Flagstaff, we enjoyed dinner each night with an easy drive retiring back home to watch DVD movies with the kids. I could go on and on, but you need not take my word for it; go enjoy and make your own wonderful memories at this property, and share your review as well. Don't forget your camera! FYI... for an intense, scenic hike for the hiking enthusiast during your stay, consider Kendrick Mountain 15 minutes north of this cabin off Hwy 180; find directions online. And for a final night dining experience, outstanding service, wine list, and entrees to die for, consider the back patio at "Brix" in downtown Flagstaff, to top off your stay. Enjoy!

Fabulous Weekend and and Incredible Owner

From the moment I booked the weekend at the Cabin Cristina was a total pleasure to deal with. Followed up on every question and helped immensley. As for the cabin.. 5 Star luxury. I have been in the hospitality business for over 27 years and own and operate resorts throughout the U.S. I look for places to escape hotels and this cabin offered just thought. It is decorated very nicely, imprecable condition, fully furnished and the website and information are 100% accurate. What you see is what you get. What it does not clearly show is the atmosphere and serene surroundings you will find ... nothing like watching a family of deer walk across the path of trees below you while you drink your cup of coffee or watching the sunrise come up over the San Francisco Mountains. A must for any person looking for an ultimate escape!!!
Owner response:Thanks for the great review! It means a lot coming from you and your hospitality background! Hope to have you stay again sometime.-- Cristina
