Our cozy cottage is charming, clean, and comfortable. There is a LCDHDTV and entertainment system in the living room for your enjoyment. The dining room has an antique dining room set that seats 4.
You have a choice of cooking indoors or outdoors. There is a fully equipped kitchen. We furnish coffee,tea, hot chocolate and hot cider mix, some spices, and condiments for you. Outdoors there is a gas barbeque for your enjoyment.
The charming bedroom has a queen size pillow top mattress. Two additional guests can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. There is extra bedding in the bedroom closet.
There are lots of places to see in Walla Walla. We have Wineries in all directions. Whitman College campus, Fort Walla Walla Museum, and our Pioneer Park are places to take peaceful walks and enjoy nature. Walla Walla University and Whitman Mission are 5 to 10 miles away.

- Barrel Tasing is Dec. 4 - 6 . Come and enjoy. Our collage is available now. Snow season if fast approaching. We are in the heart of the northern Blue Mountains. There are many areas for skiing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. "Bluewood" is about 40 minutes northeast and "Spout Springs" an hour south in Oregon. There are many forest service snowmobile trails around the northern Blue Mountains. Check with the Walla Walla Forest Service Office for more information. Come for the wine and winter sports. We are a lot more than just about wineries. Yes, our wineries are wonderful, but we have so much more to offer.

Year Purchased: 2003
We are both retired and enjoyed traveling for the first three years, but now we have decided to stay home, and travel less. We enjoy this area and are always glad to come back after we have been away on a trip. We have lived in this area since 1970 and love it.
The people are friendly and the weather comes in four seasons. A little of everything. Because of that we have decided to turn our rentals in to vacation rentals and stay in the area. Our one bedroom rental became a vacation rental in 2007 and in June of 2009 we opened a 3 bedroom, 1 bath house as a vacation rental. They are both clean comfortable homes.
Why the Owner Chose Walla Walla
We bought this house for an investment in 2003 and while we were remodeling it our son lived in it and went to college. Then when he moved out we rented it to serveral types of people and they were not always good experiences. We saw the writing on the wall of Walla Walla becoming a wine destination area so we turned our little house into a cottage for 2, but 4 can stay there. It is a "home away from home". We have put everything in it so people will feel very comfortable. One guest expresssed it this way. "A treasure inside a modst exterior".

The unique benefit is that you don't have to hear other people next door like you do in a motel or hotel. It gives you a lot more privacy. It has a fully equipped kitchen indoors with spices for cooking, and a BarBeQue outdoors on a deck. You have a lot more privacy. You are not just renting a room. It is a whole house that you can rent by the night, week, or month. It is a treasure inside a modest exterior. When you step in the front door you will feel very comfortable.
