We had such an amazing time at the Eagle Crest Lodge! It comfortably slept our whole family, and had the convenience of 2 kitchens for cooking for our large group! The attention to detail was fabulous. We were able to play ping pong and grill out on the porch overlooking the mountains and the lake, could walk down to the lake for a dip after our long day of biking the Virginia Creeper. An amazing place to be able to have your whole family together in one house and enjoy the lake and mountains!

We had a family get together with 15 people ranging in age from 3 to 80+ and we had a fabulous time! The house is unique and beautiful...the photos on this site are accurate...but it is even more lovely in person. The house set-up is great...each family had a bathroom for their private use...and several of those bathrooms are quite unique! The kitchen is a dream with granite counter-tops, two sinks, dishwasher and trash compactor. The second kitchen came in very handy for our college-age kids staying in the back sitting room. The porch with the rocking chairs was a favorite spot and the shuffle board court and ping pong table got lots of use. Swimming in the lake was lots of fun, too. There is a nice gazebo and dock at the lake and the view from the house is fantastic. Abingdon is a quaint little town only about a 10 minute drive away...grocery stores are easy to access. The Virginia Creeper Trail nearby was used by several from our group and received rave reviews from them. If you want a relaxing time away with plenty to do and plenty to not do...this is the place for you. We met the owners and they are very kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back and we will be checking out the cabins they rent in Asheville, NC.

We had a wonderful time. The view is beautiful, the house amazing, and the town of Abingdon adorable. Make sure you see a show at the Barter Theater, ride the Virginia Creeper trail, and drink your morning coffee on the wonderful porch or the gazebo by the lake. A truly fantastic experience!

Eagle Crest Lodge is gorgeous and has a beautiful mountain view through the wall of windows. In the morning and evening we watched deer gather. We spent the weekend with our family which includes eleven grandchildren from the age of 1 to 20. Everyone loved the house and enjoyed the spaciousness. Gramma & Grampa even had a private spot to be alone. Everything was beyond our expectations. We loved our stay.
