1743. The town has a number of museums. Situated about 200 meters from a sheltered beach, with fine restaurants and in walking distance to all the shops.

Cape cottage is ideally located near Boulders Beach a fantastic bathing spot, with white sandy beaches and home to one of the African Penguins, making it possible to swim with the penguins or have them come ashore and waddle between the bathers. There are excellent board-walks and viewing platforms for visitors to view the penguins.

World-renowned attractions, all within 15 minute drive, includes Cape Point Nature Reserve, Chapman's Peak Drive and the Constantia Valley Wine Route.

Body surfing and diving along the coast, excellent golf courses.

Cycling, hiking and horse riding opportunities nearby.

Central Cape Town, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Robben Island and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront are all within a radius of 35 minutes by car.
