  We spent a nice warm Thanksgiving at the cabin. The house was clean and well stocked. Spent the evenings around the fire pit over looking the river - very peaceful. The front yard is huge and the kids loved running around. Large decks over looking the river are great. We plan to return in the summer to swim and tube. Will recommend to our friends.

  Everything about this place was perfect! The house was clean and comfortable. The amount of deck space outside was more than enough. The yard was large, well kept and private, but did not feel too secluded. The location is convenient for exploring all sorts of tourist attractions such as Skyline Drive or Washington D.C., or just sitting back and relaxing. We enjoyed it, our dogs enjoyed it. We could not have asked for a better vacation. Thank you so much!

  We've been using VRBO for several years, and I would rate this home as one of our favorites...clean, quiet, and very private. You can be as busy or relaxed as you want to be! There's all kinds of toys at the house for playing in the river and on the grounds, but we spent a lot of time just enjoying the screened porch and deck overlooking the river. There was a festival in Strasburg the first weekend , plus we visited some of the many fine wineries in the area, went to vintage car races, and won a little money at a casino about an hour away. It was a perfect week and we look forward to visiting again.

  We enjoyed this cabin had everything that we needed. It was very clean. Very private away from it ALL. I am so grateful that you allowed me to bring my two Big German Shepherds, Sturm and Fantom. They lived in the river for 3 days they love swimming. Had a few days of bad weather it rained but that was ok still enjoyed being there. Slept so good. We will return again.

  This was the most relaxing vacation that we have every had. The house was the perfect size for us and the yard was very large. Our dog Molly loved it! Great access to the river, we were able to go tubing, sit by the river and use the fire pit. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. This is the perfect location, very secluded but close enough to town and other attractions. Thank you for sharing your rivercabin with us!

  We had a great time at this lovely cabin. Nice location, very quiet and secluded. It was very well represented in the description but the pictures really don't do it justice. It is perfect for a family vacation and we loved that our dog could join us for the fun! It was very clean too and had any amenities we could have needed, thankful for the wifi for occasional contact with the outside world. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had prior to, and after booking. We all loved the river, the views and the the stars at night. Close to a lot of historic sites and Skyline Drive is just a short drive away. We really enjoyed the small town atmosphere. Very relaxing vacation!

  The home was clean and cozy. Unfortunately we picked a week when the river was in flood stage and any river fun was out of the question. It is a lovely, secluded site and I hope to go back the next time I have a trial in the area.

  Our stay at this cabin was so pleasant and relaxing. It had something for everyone in our family. This was a huge bonus having plenty of tubes and a canoe to use, so much fun. The kids loved the WIFI. The location was very private with beautiful trees surrounding the cabin. The owners were friendly and great in answering any questions we had. The location couldn't be more convenient to local attractions. It was only 15min or so off the highway and less than fifteen minutes to the Strasburg Caverns, as well as very close to town, grocery store, and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this cabin as it was cozy, clean, and it more than met our expectations. We will definitely be back thank you very much Judy D

  I would just like to say that the owner was prompt when I inquired about renting the unit, however after the transaction when I had called about amenities not working and having questions about appliances the owner was nowhere to be found. First impressions always last and this one says...now I got your money and your no longer important.

  Owner response: Very sorry this guest did not have a good experience at the cabin, my wife and I were away for the weekend ourselves and did not have good cell service in the area, we do our very best to accomodate all guests.

Seasonal rate(June-Aug): weekly rentals - $800.00 + $75.00 cleaning.

$75.00 reservation deposit which will be included in total rate. Balance due within 30 days of arrival.
