This apartment, and its cordial owners, are the perfect argument for using VRBO. My wife and I are active retirees who walk a lot and enjoy the comfort and privacy of a well-located apartment in a place away from home. A large supermarket is close by for all the staples. Small groceries, an upscale food court and wonderfully diverse shops are the hallmark of the Latin Quarter. The juncture of 2 of Montreal's 3 underground lines is only 5 minutes away. That means a quick ride to the wonderful Jean Talon outdoor Public Market, the beautiful Botanical Gardens and Biodome and just about anywhere in Montreal that you'd care to visit. Need that 3rd underground line? Not a problem - one of the lines close to the apartment intersects with it. A couple of blocks away is Rue St. Denis - a collection of entertainment venues, clubs and restaurants that goes on for many blocks. Head over to the Old Port area - about 10 minutes away and find galleries, tour boats and interesting shops. We were here in the early Fall and the few times we needed to use the combo AC/ Heating unit, we had no trouble getting the temperature just right. As has been mentioned previously, Renee (the owner), is a working artist and some of her work, as well as pieces by some friends adorn the apartment lending a unique charm. Both Renee and her husband could not be more solicitous and interested in assuring their guests of a good time. If you take advantage of the parking place (we did) you'll find that it is just behind the apartment in a closed end driveway providing both convenience and security. This was our 3rd trip to Monteral and we thought it might be our last for awhile. However, the sparkling condition and comfort of the apartment, its perfect location and our gracious hosts have us thinking that we'll be coming back. Highly recommended for active folks of all ages including our family members and close friends.
Owner response:Thank you for your comment. Looking forward to meet you again. Have a nice end of year.

We had a wonderful time in Montreal, and this apartment made it that much better. Location can't be beat - very near two train stops, a bus line, old town and Rue St. Catherine - a bustling crossroads of the city. The apartment was cool in August, spotless, functional and filled with original art. The owner, Renee, is a visual artist, and the apartment if filled with her art and others'. It felt like I was at a small, intimate exhibition in someone's home each time I walked in. Photos do not do the place justice. Renee, welcomed us with a basket of fruit, bread, jam, milk and coffee. A very nice touch. I would stay here again, and would recommend it to friends.
Owner response:Thank you Brigid for your comment. It is always nice to see that our guest are satisfy. It was a real pleasure to have you around. Hope to see you again.

My wife and I and our 8-year-old twin boys stayed here in late June/early July. The pictures really don't do the place justice. It's a very nicely appointed, clean, modern, well laid out apartment that easily accommodated the four of us. The boys had individual twin beds in the small, second bedroom. All the beds were very comfortable. The good-sized bathroom is adjacent to the main bedroom and is accessed from the living room area. There is a small balcony off the kitchen with seating for two. It was an easy walk to the old town and the old port; a bit longer to the venues for the jazz festival. The parking space behind the unit is very convenient. It's a quick drive up to Parc La Fontaine, which we all enjoyed tremendously. There is another, much smaller park within walking distance, but we didn't make use of it. As another reviewer has mentioned, despite the downtown location, the unit is quiet. We found the single AC unit to be sufficient in early July, and actually didn't use it for part of our stay. The unit also had all the basic necessities: kleenex, detergents, soaps, shampoo, etc. The owners were solicitous and flexible. We plan on returning!
Owner response:Thank you very much for your comment. It is really appreciate. We enjoy having you here with your family. Hoppefully we'll have the opportunity to meet again. Have a nice end of year and my best regard to you, your wife and children.

This comfortable, clean and conveniently located property was perfect for our first visit to Montreal, in a very attractive part of the city. Even though it is located close to several busy neighborhoods, the apartment was incredibly quiet. The owner was very helpful and accomodating, having stocked the apartment with a welcome basket of fruit. Since our vacation was to continue another 5 days after leaving Montreal, we appreciated having a washer and dryer to use in the apartment at need. Public transportation is easily accessible and parking is available behind the building. The only concern we had was that there was only a single air conditioning unit in the entire apartment, and in the heat of summer (late July, early August) we would have liked more cooling in the bedrooms. We highly recommend this property.

My boyfriend (now husband :-) stayed here for the F1 2008 race. It was a beautiful, clean, comfortable apartment. SO nice to stay here vs. a hotel. Felt like our own little house. Owners went out of their way to make sure it was a fantastic stay. Thank you for a memorable trip.
