Located outside of one of the most charming villages in Tuscany, San Casciano dei Bagni, and a short distance from the World Class Thermal Spa, Fonteverde, voted # 1 in Europe by Spafinder in 2008, Casa Demo is a picture perfect Tuscan villa awaiting your arrival. Situated adjacent to an 11th century castle, this 2 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home features a large living room with wood-burning fireplace, a dining room that seats 6 comfortably and a charming kitchen with microwave, full size refrigerator and an American coffee maker. Completely renovated in 2006, the updated kitchen and bathrooms feature locally hand-painted ceramic tiles each depicting one of the prominent castles in the area. In addition, the villa includes satellite television, a DVD player, laundry facilities and comes with a fascinating history lesson of the nearby castle and the surrounding area. There is also a wonderful garden with a massive travertine marble table situated under a rose covered pergola – perfect for dining al fresco, a private swimming pool and a gated entry for complete privacy.

The villa is ideally located midway between Rome and Florence allowing easy day trips to both by either car or train (approx 1 hour to each). The train station and entrance to the A1 Autostrada are just a short distance away in Chiusi. In addition to Rome and Florence, most destinations in both Tuscany and Umbria are reachable in day trips including Siena, San Giminagno, Assisi, Perugia, Deruta, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Montalcino and many many quaint small villages in between.

In addition, we are happy to assist you with daily itineraries, arrange a private cooking lesson or a local wine-tasting, provide you with maps and local places of interest, local markets and festivals and special events that may be occurring during your visit. Our guests receive a 15% discount to the thermal pool at the Spa and a 10% discount on any Day Spa visits. We are also able to offer you a half day or full day hands-on class in the ancient art of hand-made ceramics production led by a talented painter who has studied under the Master Painter, Romano Ranieri, in Deruta. With her guidance, you will produce a unique piece of art that will be a permanent reminder of your time under the Tuscan sun.

  • Casa Demo was truly a dream come true. I have always wanted to spend a week in Tuscany and take day trips around the area. Not only were the accommodations first rate, but everyone we met was very kind and helpful. The villages in the area were just charming and we had marvelous food everywhere we went. The food at the Club House restaurant just outside the gate was outstanding. We had dinner there often during our stay. All in all, it was one of our finest trips to Europe.   • My family (husband, twin 16 year old daughters) and I had a fabulous experience during our trip to Italy in June. We stayed for one of our two weeks at Casa Demo, making day trips from there to Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, San Casciano dei Bagni and other hill towns. As we approached the property, we were first struck by the incredible views of the countryside and castle grounds. We were thrilled with the house, which is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely private yard and pool. The kitchen is well outfitted with cookware, allowing us to enjoy cooking many nights that we were there. We found that after a busy sightseeing day, we were eager to arrive back “home” to sit out in the yard and eat under the lovely pergola. The Monday morning market in Chiusi is great for supplies, as are the grocery stores. We felt, as a previous guest stated, that we made lifelong friends with the owners. They could not have been more welcoming or gracious. We look forward at some point to returning to Fighine. Our stay there provided memories for a lifetime!

  • My husband and I fell in love with this astounding villa and had the most amazing vacation of our lives. When I read the list description online, I was dubious of this too-good-to-be-true villa, but it was even better than I'd hoped. We loved the ambiance of a 12th century castle, combined with the comforts of home--the fireplace, the perfect décor, the conveniences. The castle and villa sit on top of the highest hill and can be seen from miles around. Our hosts were the most gracious people, thoughtful to give us total privacy, but friendly enough that we feel we've made lifetime friends. We loved taking our daytrips to Florence, Sienna, to Assisi, then coming back to our charming "home." I think we enjoyed the little towns even more--Palazonne, Cetona, Cita della Pieve, etc. This villa gave us a fairytale vacation and proved to be one of the few times something too good to be true, was true.

  • This is a wonderful villa! Everything you would want is provided. A great place for a family or 4-6 adults as there are private areas. What has been described about the location is true - it is a great home base after a day visiting the towns and area. The hosts are gracious and very helpful.
