"Harbor Vista" is a relaxing coastal retreat, located a mile from a great beach, around the corner from open space, and only 30 minutes from downtown San Francisco. It is perched on a hillside with views of sunsets over the ocean and Pillar Point Harbor from 2 decks. It's a great central location for your Bay Area adventures.
The home is a split-level contemporary home with a circular driveway and off-street parking. It has a large deck in the front facing the ocean and a rooftop deck. The views are outstanding and watching the sunset from the deck is one of our favorite things to do. The main level of the home is a large great room, with living room, fireplace seating, 10-person dining room table, projection TV, breakfast bar and remodeled kitchen. Stairs lead up to the first master bedroom and 2 guest bedrooms, and down to the second master bedroom and out to the patio, where a 6-person spa and gas fire pit awaits your arrival.

Why the Owner Chose Half Moon Bay
Half Moon Bay has always been a special place for Rich, growing up in nearby Sunnyvale, it was the closest beach town and had lots of fun things to do. Jen used to go vacation in Pismo Beach from her hometown of Fresno with her family, so getting away to the ocean and the cool breezes was a highlight of growing up. We both love the Half Moon Bay Coastside area, and having an ocean view home is a dream come true. It's close to San Francisco, but feels worlds away, with huge open spaces and nearby organic farms. There's 20-plus beaches in the area, tidepools, whale watching, sailing... it's a great place to get away and relax.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We remodeled the home in 2006 with the goal of making it family friendly. It has a spacious great room with fantastic ocean views, 2 decks for outdoor entertaining, a 6 person hot tub and a home theater system. The bedrooms are upstairs and separated from the great room and downstairs master suite, which makes it easy for some people to go to sleep while others stay up and visit.
Great local beach with mild, regular waves and a long stretch of sand. Can get busy during the summer, but is a great place to people watch or surfer watch.
Local shops, restaurants and bars. Great seafood spots and cool local art.
