Bring tooth brush and clothes that’s it. This post may sound a little familiar but what more could I say about our stay except we will have to buy more Christmas cards for our new family members and get more doggie treats also. The birds are unbelievable to watch the boats the people who pass by all are friendly it was very nice and safe and secure indeed. Our stay in Cathy and Ron's rental was spectacular! They were extremely accommodating to our family. From the start, they were flexible with our dates/time of arrival and departure. They welcomed our family, including our dog, they treated her like she was here own pet of course the dog loved the attention also. A tour of the apartment, recommendations of things to do, and fresh fruits and veggies from their garden. The rental is very well kept with a very comfortable bed and relaxing shower, the pictures on the web page does not do it justice you could park 3 cars side by side inside of the apartment, and still have room, as well as anything you could possibly need in the kitchen. If you wanted to cook a Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas dinner all you need is the bird or the ham everything else is there waiting on you when you get there even down to the spices. What wasn't there, Cathy provided. :) The outdoor area was beautifully landscaped Repeat The outdoor area was beautifully landscaped - each night we sat out on the deck to enjoy the evening. Cathy and Ron let our dog out when we were gone for a long day and washed our laundry twice during our vacation. They were also willing to let us use their personal kayaks and were glad to let our extended family, which was also staying in the area, take them out in the water, too. By the time we left, we felt like we had spent the week with family. Although, some renters may second guess staying in an apartment attached to the owners, while your there you become part owner after staying here, we would not think twice about it. Cathy and Ron were extremely considerate of our vacation time even when we walked to the local sandy beach food and bar (great food) at the end of the canal what maybe 3 blocks. When we're in the area again, we'll definitely be staying here. Thank you! P.S. Thank you for everything everybody is well, safe and back to work and missing you guys and the dogs.

This was our second year staying in Cathy and Ron's Apartment and it was just as enjoyable as last year. We felt like we had returned to our second home. Everything was well stocked and we could just go to the small garden and pick vegetables for dinner. Had fish for dinner that we caught off the deck, can't get any fresher than that. Miss the dogs already. Hope to return again.

Sue and I can't say enough about what a wonderful holiday we have had with Cathy and Ron. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well furnished. There was so much kitchen equipment we never got to use all of it. I have been in other apartments in Florida that were much more expensive and which were nowhere near as good. We just like it so much we keep going back. Its almost like going home. Its so nice to go on holiday and not have to worry about laundry. Not to mention boat rides at sunset, watching dolphins cavorting and canoeing in the mangroves. Can't wait to be back there. I don't want to recommend it to too many people though, because if it gets too popular we might not be able to get a booking!!

Went beyond our expectations. We were a little worried about staying on a canal but it was peaceful, clean and so much fun to watch the boats go by in the evening. The water is so clear, it was like looking into an aquarium. The landscaping is gorgeous, they even have managed to fit in a vegetable garden. We ate outside amid the blooms everyday. The apartment is large and lovely, especially the bedroom. We honestly had everything we needed. Just a tip if you are lucky enough to stay here- have your camera ready to take pictures of Harry the Heron, he loves to stop by to visit.

This property and the overall experience of staying there far exceeded my expectations. The space was beautiful and comfortably furnished; every room was expansive yet cozy, and the whole apartment was clean and well kept. The owners were outstandingly generous. They provided food items that we had requested before our arrival, and throughout the week, graciously suggested local attractions and good places to visit to fill up our week. They were truly a blessing to meet and interact with; I certainly have no complaints against them. The area of Hudson where the property resided was so serene and calm, secluded enough to achieve the getaway effect, yet definitely close enough to civilization that any forgotten necessities could be attained within all convenience. Lastly, the property was appropriately close to the surrounding towns offering unique Florida diversions such as state parks and beach towns that anyone who would stay here could find plenty of both varied entertainment and relaxing privacy.

I was in town visiting family but preferred to stay in my own place to keep my sanity. This is the best place I could have come across. Reasonably priced - on the corner of two canals - a great spot for bird watching! The apartment was furnished very comfortably, the bed was comfortable - there was plenty of drawers and closet space for my clothes. The kitchen has pretty much anything you can imagine including a food dehydrator and bread maker! Cathy and Ron were really nice - got to go on the Ron's boat out on the Gulf - really cool. Took the kayak out a couple times and swam in the pool almost every day! The dogs were a lot of fun too. At night is was really quiet - so cool to sit outside in the dark night and listen to fish jumping. Walking distance to the small Hudson Beach where there are a few restaurants. It was a great place to stay - I wish I was there now!

We stayed for one month. Cathy and Ron were as accommodating as everyone says. They were the perfect host but did not intrude on our privacy. The apartment was more than well equipped and we are both gourmet cooks. Everything was as stated and we couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodation which the pictures do not do justice to. We have recommended this place to our friends and hope will return ourselves.

What a wonderful home away from home! Even though we really hail from the Pacific Northwest, we felt so relaxed, comfortable and "at home" here. Cathy & Ron went out of their way to make sure all our needs were met. We loved starting our days on the canal with coffee or laps in the pool, and ending most soaking in the hot tub. While we didn't find that piece of real estate we came looking for, we know where we'll stay when we come to look again. Thanks much!

All of the previous reviews are right on the mark. This is one of the most well stocked and equipped places we've ever stayed. Although our stays usually don't involve a lot of inside time, if ever there was a place one would be perfectly at home inside, this is it. Very peaceful and quiet day or night. We usually prefer condos with an ocean view, but the canal setting and amenities of this place rival almost any condo. Owners make you feel right at home as though you were a visiting close friend or family member. Highly recommend.

We saw this place on VRBO and it really is too great to be true. We went in April 2009 so the pool never got warm enough for us Washingtonians, but everything else was as advertised. Whenever we went away for a night it felt like we were home when we got back. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend it. Cathy and Ron are just so nice, and daughter Corinne is a sweet young lady. Love Maddy and Hailey(sp?) Thanks for everything. .....Carol & Kuni from Gig Harbor, WA

We needed a place to stay for my Bonati Institute back operation. It was just two minutes from the Institute. I also wanted to bring my Maltese (Joshua) with us. We cannot believe our luck finding this wonderful place! The first floor apartment was spacious, soooo clean, beautifully decorated and their landscaping from the deck was breathtaking. We felt at home and had everything we could want to be comfortable. What a great bed! Fortunately, we had a few days to enjoy the hot tub and pool before my operation. Cathy and Ron were so kind and caring. Thank you for the fresh items from your organic garden and the fresh eggs. We did not want to leave! Dr. Sharron McAdams, Louisville, KY

Unbelievable!! This place IS too good to be true!! You must book this property if Serenity and Peace are your goal. We celebrated our 20th Anniversary here and the property is heaven. Large space, immaculate, great views, on the GULF, close to town, & the private pool was the best part. Great fishing & watersports! Great service! Everything you need for a wonderful retreat. We will book again and so will our family. A real winner!!!

Lovely people and lovely home. Spacious, spotlessly clean, canal front home. We felt as though we sat by a huge aquarium. Fish and dolphins, birds to watch and feed. Cathy and Ron are gracious, generous hosts who make you feel at home. Ron`s gardens are spectacular! We didn`t want to leave this paradise! Thank you again Cathy and Ron for sharing your wonderful home. We can`t wait to come back! Lisa and Art France

This is really "not too good to be true".The appartment was spotless and the equipment and furniture top class. Even better than that is the hospitality and frendliness of Ron and Cathy.Washing and ironing, bike riding and kayaking using the bikes, nothing is too much trouble. We had such a good time we didnt want to go home.I would highly recommend you rent this appartment if you want a top class holiday close to the water and the beach. Not that we went to the beach, we had too much fun in the jacuzzi and the pool, bike riding and kayaking. Oh and I forgot to mention the barbi. You can email me if you want to know more richard stadie
