A 2 bedroom beach house with direct access to the beach (30 meters away) in the scenic fishing village of Aghios Andreas in southern Peloponnese. It has a large garden and two verandas, one facing the main road and the hills, the other one (over 50 square meters) facing eucalyptus trees and the beach.
Empty plots of land on its north and south side provide privacy, while on the beach side it is protected from the sun by the eucalyptus trees , keeping the house cool even during the hot summer months.

The property is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including beach towels and beach bags. It has air conditioning in the living room/ kitchen area, a 43 inch smart television, Satellite TV (free channels only), free internet, secure parking, and a large child friendly garden.
The main bedroom has a double bed and a double door overlooking the garden, while the second bedroom has two single beds and windows overlooking the garden. There are two traditional style sofas in the living room (one which can accommodate a fifth guest), and upon request a baby cot is also available.

The property is only a 3 minutes walk from the village centre and the marina where you will find restaurants, tavernas, a pizzeria, coffee shops, a children play ground and three hotels. Two small supermarkets, two bakeries, an ATM machine, and a pharmacy are all located in the village center, a short walk from the beach house. However, the house has privacy because the property is at the edge of the village, has empty lots of land on its north and south side, and eucalyptus trees on the beach side (east).

The beach has both sand and pebbles. From mid June to the end of August two beach bars operate on the beach. However, if you don't want to utilize organized facilities you can use the beach towels, beach umbrella and beach chairs provided by your hosts.

There is a sea view from the larger veranda of the house as well as the kitchen window, and you can walk from the property's back gate straight to the beach by passing through a small eucalyptus park.

A car is recommended to enjoy sightseeing and visit nearby beaches and villages. Koroni is less than 15 minutes away, Methoni can be reached in 30 minutes, Pylos and Kalamata are both a 40 minute drive, Ancient Messini is less than one hour's drive, Ancient Olympia less than 2 hours, while the Mani region and the towns of Kardamili and Stoupa as well as the Diros caves is a wonderful day trip.

As for activities, you can go swimming, snorkeling, trekking in the nearby hills, rent a bicycle (year round in the village), listen to a summer concert in Koroni (usually from May to October), and rent a boat and water sports equipment in the nearby Petalidi.

Kalamata Airport is only 35 minutes away (30 km), with connections to many European cities. If you are driving from Athens Airport or from Patras ferry terminal it is a 3 hours drive to the beach house.

beach life....
nice beachhouse at a quite beach: a laidback beach where mostly local people went swimming. they had set up a volleyball field on the beach right behind the house when we stayed, beachfun to the max :) the owner does her best to make everything to your liking, when internet seemed to fail for a moment her son was already in the car to fix it (and went back after we unplugged it for a while) She even makes sure the books in the house are in your language - that's what we call a pro host :) If you are this close to the beach you take those 5 minute swims , morning swims, evening swims when you come back from your daytrip..... quick dips, and, because the bay was mostly calm, long swims!

We felt at home, comfortable and secure.
Great beach house/villa location for exploring the Peloponnese. It surpassed our expectations. Very friendly, small village, authentic, genuine people who were kind and helpful; we appreciated them, definitely a highlight. Rosemarie and Vasilis were warm accommodating hosts who went well beyond what anyone would expect to ensure we were comfortable and well informed of the local points of interest, the history and the many significate sites and villages. We would go back!

Perfect Stay
This is a great sized house for our family of four (two teenage boys) and a fantastic position onto the lovely beach at Aghios Andreas. The house is very clean, has everything that you need and Vassilis and Rosemarie made us feel very welcome when we first arrived - great hosts! Aghios Andreas is a lovely small village with a pretty marina and some lovely positioned cafes and restaurants (plus fab bakery). A perfect spot for exploring the beautiful Messinia - we will definitely be back

Great Place For a November Holiday
The Beach House in Aghios Andreas, well kept and charming, was a great place to stay for a month. We stayed for a month last Nov. and found the house was a perfect place for us with all the amenities of the house, the village and surroundings. We were happy with the warm days of Nov. (20 degrees to 25 degrees). The evenings cooled off and we appreciated the adequate heating system. A car would be helpful, but with our many years of bicycle touring, we preferred to use bicycles we rented in the village. There are endless places to bicycle and walk or hike (trekking). A wonderful way to see and appreciate the countryside. Bicycling along the coast road to the many villages is an option as well as the rural hilly roads. The back roads and tracks are great for either bicycling or walking. The forests of the mystical olive trees are beautiful. Most villages one goes through can be destinations for a break for coffee or a beer! A walk along the beach that is only a few metres behind the Beach House was a great way to start the morning. Aghios Andreas is a lovely, small port with places to walk and sip coffee from a nearby café. Each morning we bought exceptionally good bread and other baking from the friendly bakery. When one stays a month in a village one begins to make small friendships with the friendly villagers! Nov. is the time the olive harvesting begins. It is interesting to watch the labour intensive process while out in the surrounding area. We can't say enough good words about Rosemarie and Vassilis, the owners of the Beach House. They were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They take such pride in keeping the house in a manner that every renter would feel at home in it. We would love to return again!

We are a retired couple who have traveled all over the world during our working life. We have friends from around the globe and enjoy meeting people from different countries.
In addition to Greek we also speak English, French and Italian. We enjoy boating, trekking (we belong to a local international trekking group), the arts and travelling.

Why they chose this property

This was our summer house for 18 years and we have lots of wonderful memories of our time in Aghios Andreas in the company of our children. It was a great place to spend our holidays and we think you will enjoy it too.

What makes this property unique

At the edge of the village, yet only 3 minute walk to the marina, shops and restaurants. It has privacy because there are empty lots of land to the villa's right and left side, while the front of the house has a large garden and the back of the house overlooks a small eucalyptus forest and the beach, which is only 30 meters from the house and is accessible from the villa's back door.
