Great Little Home in Paris!!!

Guest: Ray & Sheryl (Oak Harbor, WA)
Date of Stay: 04/27/12 Review Submitted: 05/23/12

My husband and I recently visited Paris and enjoyed our time in this apartment rental in the Latin Quarter. Yes, it was small...but what the apartment and the owners offered was great...at a fantastic price! Besides the cute, doll-house sized apartment, Sandy & Philippe left us fresh flowers, fresh fruit, bottle of wine, cereal, juice, coffee, candy, phone with free long-distance calling, computer, travel books, travel maps, etc. There was everything that we needed and more. The location was perfect since we were between 2 different metro lines and easy walking distance to both of them. Also, we were able to walk from our apartment to Luxembourg Gardens, Jardin des Plantes, Notre Dame, to name a few. The owners, Sandy & Phillippe, were so great in communicating with us before and after we arrived. We wished we could have spent more time in this cute Parisian apartment.

Great location, a little smaller than we anticipated but adequate for two people and extremely well equipped. The owners are very helpful, especially on arrival. If returning to Paris would not hesitate to stay here again. Very enjoyable visit.

The apartment was exactly as advertised and almost exactly what we had expected to find. It was very comfortable to stay in with a very comfortable sofabed and a good-sized bathroom with lots of hot water. The welcome by the owners, Sandy and Philippe, was very warm and they thought of everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They provided excellent directions to the apartment as well as providing lots of information on the local area as well as places to go and things to do in Paris. There were also many books and travel guides and a laptop so we could do our own research as well. I was shown through the apartment and had everything explained to me (microwave, garbage collection etc) and made to feel a very welcome guest. In addition to the bathroom being stocked with plenty of shower gels and shampoo and toilet paper and so on, the kitchen was also stocked with essentials like a wide variety of teas and coffee, cleaning liquids and spices as well as plenty of pots, pans, plates and cutlery, and much more. To our surprise, there was also a bottle of wine, cookies and candies, water, juice and fruit and flowers put in the flat for us. Sandy and Philippe were extremely helpful both before and after our arrival, but never intrusive in any way. The location was superb -within walking distance of many intersting places to visit as well as being close to two metro stations as well as supermarkets and local markets. There were plenty of cafes, restaurants, bakeries and bars in the immediate neighbourhood. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for this money in Paris. It suited us very well. I would certainly recommend this property to my family and friends - but only for singles or couples as it really is a little home in Paris.

Small gem in the heart of Paris

Guest: Ilya U. (Boston, MA)
Date of Stay: 01/04/12 Review Submitted: 01/21/12

This is just a wonderful small apartment, quite in the right place. Owners are warm and very helpful, open for questions and ready to help with suggestions for shopping, eating and sightseeing. Made our stay really pleasant and remarkable. Their small dog is super-friendly. The Counterescarp is right around the corner, yet the place is quiet most of the time. The apartment itself, while small, is very convenient. The floor plan makes use of space optimal, so you have everything you need. Bathroom is surprisingly large (by European standards) and superbly equipped. The water pressure is very adequate too, so no problem taking shower. The kitchen is small, yet sufficient for breakfast and supper preparations if you are so inclined. A lot of sights is in short walking distance, and two different metro lines make getting elsewhere just as easy. If you choose to stay there, don't miss the bakery on the Counterescarp square for breakfast pastries and/or bread. The best mini-market is on Rue Monge next to Cardinal Lemoine Metro stop. Rue Mouftard provides ample selection of great eating and drinking places. Great place, would stay there again any time! Thanks Sandy and Philippe for a wonderful experience in Paris. You made our short vacation truly remarkable!

Two characters traveling on an overnighter in Paris

Guest: Jen (SF, US)
Date of Stay: 01/03/12 Review Submitted: 01/11/12

My colleague and I flew into London for a business meeting, and with an extra 24 hours to spare we decided to travel to my favorite city. After a referral to Sandy and Philippe, we learned of their quaint apartment in the 5 Arrondissement. We took the Eurostar from London to Gare Du Nord in 2.5 hours. Took a cab to the apartment arriving in time to see the holiday lights strung across the alleys and streets light up. Perfectly located and near great restaurants, bars and amazingly beautiful architecture, we were greeted warmly by our hosts and their adorable terrier Mulan. After a bit of refreshments, we two tired travelers rallied and took off to explore the area. The apartment is well appointed with wireless internet, longdistance phone service, bath products, stocked kitchen, and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Great for a couple or a small family (no wild children though) or two work colleagues - one or two rooms available for sleeping. Clean, warm, cheery and comfortable. Can't wait to bring family members back in the future. Thank you Sandy and Philippe! Until next time, Jen and Ken

PERFECT Stay in Paris

Guest: Lissa L.
Date of Stay: 12/06/11 Review Submitted: 12/16/11

My husband and I were set to arrive in Paris and hadn't yet found a place to stay. We came across this little gem the night before our departure and emailed hoping it would work out. Sandy gave us a call first thing the next morning and made sure we had directions and all the details we would need before our flight took off later in the day. Upon arrival we found their little place right away. It is tucked on a quiet street right around the corder from Rue La Mouffetard, the oldest street in Paris that is an all day market brimming with the best cheeses, breads, pastries, produce and restaurants you could ever dream of. Ernest Hemmingway's residence was also just around the corner, there is amazing historical significance of the area, you are only a t8 minute walk from Notre Dame, 5 min from the metro, you could not ask to be in a better location. the little apartment is very parisian, stocked with everything you could possibly need, lots of extra blankets, snacks, juice, coffee, tea, wine, everything. It has plenty of room, the bathroom is newly renovated and very comfortable . Much larger than most european washrooms. Sandy and Phillipe are two of the friendliest people you will meet in Paris. If we are able to arrange to go back before leaving Europe we will. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or any excuse to get to Paris. This little place is definitely where we will be staying in the future.

Warm hosts, excellent location, charming apartment

Guest: Tami J.
Date of Stay: 11/28/11 Review Submitted: 12/10/11

From the first moment of arriving at the apartment, we were met by our welcoming, charming hosts, who showed us every detail of the efficient apartment. It has been designed and decorated with every comfort in mind--the photos don't do it justice! Everything from delightful soaps and lotions to candy-stocked jars, to extra linens, to guidebooks, umbrellas and market baskets, to coffee, juice, cookies and a bottle of wine! Everything sparkling clean. We appreciated the computer and telephone with free calls to the U.S. The location is wonderful: Rue Mouffetard at your doorstep with all its cafes and little food shops. So easy to get our morning fix of chocolate croissant and fresh apple! Walking distance to the Pantheon and Jardin du Luxembourg (we walked to Notre Dame as well), and close to the Metro. Since this was my husband's first trip to Paris, we did all the highlights, and appreciated coming "home" after a long day of sightseeing! Our hosts had a list of recommendations for cafes and restaurants, and let us know that they were only five minutes away if we needed anything. We would definitely stay at the apartment again and will also highly recommend it to friends and family. It is a treasure.

Getting engaged in Paris!

Guest: Susi G. (San Diego, California)
Date of Stay: 10/23/11 Review Submitted: 11/10/11

We just returned home from a wonderful vacation in Paris. "MylittlehomeinParis" had been recommended to me by a friend, so upon researching, we decided to book it. Sandy and Phillipe's excellent customer service began immediately, a good 10 months prior to our trip. They provided us with all kinds of great information regarding transportation, sightseeing, prices, the weather, supplies, wifi, etc, and then continued to answer our specific questions about gluten-free diets, aging parents, the train from Brussels, and a phone number for an English-speaking taxi service. By the time we finally arrived I was greeted with a friendly French hug and I knew that Sandy would make sure we were comfortable. Upon orienting us, it was clear that a lot of thought had been given to all the comforts that would be needed. Sandy and Philippe went above and beyond to provide guests wih an apartment that offered plenty of hot water, good and safe lighting, a comfortable bed, plenty of blankets, pillows and towels, internet access and free long distance calling overseas, appliances in the kitchen, and quiet and privacy, all within walking distance to 2 metros, several restaurants and shops, a farmer’s market, 2 ATM’s, grocery stores, bakery, and pharmacy. There were band aids available for blisters on feet and a bathtub to soak them in. There were umbrellas for brief showers, guide books and information , bookmarked websites to museums, etc., and scotch tape for engagement rings that hadn’t been sized yet! The location is excellent, in the middle of the Latin Quarter. I would highly recommend “mylittlehomeinParis” as a great place to stay. Someone wanting to see Paris, remain rested, keep expenses down, and know that you have a contact should there be a problem of any kind, will not be disappointed. We hope to return some day!

Simply Wonderful

Guest: Kate (Philadelphia)
Date of Stay: 09/10/11 Review Submitted: 10/19/11

My husband and I spent two weeks here in September. I can only echo all of the praise already heaped upon the apartment, and upon Sandy and Philippe. My Little Home is small but a perfect jewel; the space is used intelligently and efficiently. And the furnishings -- Sandy has a special touch when it comes to decorating, and this little gem is as cozy and warm and welcoming as it can be. It took us just one day to settle in and feel completely at home. We have stayed in larger (and more expensive) apartments in Paris, and not one of them was as bright and comfortable as this one. (The sofa bed is comfortable as a bed AND as a sofa. Really.) The neighborhood is just terrific; a mix of students, locals, and tourists. A short walk to the Seine, Luxembourg Gardens, the Grande Mosquee, the Jardin des Plantes; two steps from La Place de la Contrescarpe (a people-watcher's paradise) and Rue Mouffetard, where you will find many cheese shops, wine shops, take-out food places, gelato, crepes, chocolates, shoes, souvenirs, and of course the open-air market. Metro and bus stations are also nearby. Finally, Sandy and Philippe could not be more helpful or more charming. Sandy was there to meet us with her welcoming gifts of wine, juice, flowers, and decadent pastries; Philippe arrived later, and they explained how everything worked in perfect detail. They gave us many excellent recommendations for restaurants, etc., and were available to answer questions at any time. By the end of our stay, we felt we had made two friends for life. I could go on and on, but others have said it here before -- read all of the glowing comments, and believe every one of them! My only hesitation in recommending this apartment is that it may not be available for us the next time we are lucky enough to go to Paris. In the meantime, we will always think of it as OUR Little Home in Paris.

I had a last minute trip to Paris for only two nights and nearly every listing required at least three. Sandy and Philippe took my reservation without a qualm and were impeccable hosts! The apartment is tiny by U.S. standards but has everything you could possibly want including a very nicely appointed bathroom, a comfortable bed and a kitchen where I could make coffee with one of the three coffeepots! They even left me a bottle of wine and some OJ. So much nicer than staying in a hotel. I was half a block off Rue Moufftard - a perfect location. I hope to visit here again.

This was the perfect home away from home for our three days in Paris! Sandy and Philippe were very quick to respond and informative about details before our arrival. They gave us a wonderful orientation to the apartment and the surrounding neighborhood, as well as transportation, restaurants, and anything else we wanted to know. The apartment was clean, cozy, well-stocked and felt like home. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The amenities such as the nice towels and lotions were a welcome surprise. We had a wonderful dinner "in" one night. The internet access and phone turned out to be quite useful and we were quite appreciative for this. Sandy and Philippe were awesome and I would stay here again the next time I visit Paris.

Little--but Great Home

Guest: Scott B.
Date of Stay: 06/25/11 Review Submitted: 07/05/11

This little home is ideal for people who want to experience one of the really wonderful areas in Paris. Rue Rolin is a quiet, mostly pedestrian street. There is a school across the street from the apartment building but the flat is across a courtyard so there is very little noise. In spite of the solitude, the energy of Place de la Contrescarpe and Rue Mouffetard are two minutes walk. The flat is small but beautifully appointed. Sandy and Philippe think of many extras such as full linens (including washcloths), some food staples and a partially stocked fridge. Facial tissue, including some "to go" packets in case you get the sniffles. The bathroom is recently updated and is beautiful. It is possible to cook some in the small kitchen but there are also many good restaurants nearby,

Date of Stay: 05/18/11 Review Submitted: 05/30/11

This was my second stay in the little home...the first time with my DH and this time with my 16-year old granddaughter. Although it is small, everything is provided to make your stay comfortable: fluffy towels, umbrellas, WiFi, computer, shopping basket, iron, ironing board and much more. Sandy and Philippe are generous hosts. Guests are greeted with a bottle of wine, pastries and fresh flowers. They're also available if you need them. Communication with them via email was flawless. They'll reply to your queries without delay. The location can't be beat. Shops, cafés, bakeries and restaurants of all kinds are right around the corner. A short walk will take you to the Panthéon, the animated Place de la Sorbonne and the metro/RER on boulevard Saint-Michel. My second stay in this apartment was as pleasant and comfortable as the first one. As I've done in the past, I will continue to recommend this rental to my friends and relatives.

My wife, daughter and I visited in early April and had a fantastic time while staying at My Little Home in Paris! While it's small, it is very well equipped; Sandy and Philippe have thought of everything. For travellers who want an authentic vacation and to feel like you are really living in Paris (if only for a week), this is your place!! The location is fantastic - close to nightlife, Metro, and loads of history. We always felt safe and Sandy and Philippe were very helpful with our cell phone issues. Their rate is also very reasonable. We are already saving for our return trip !

Superb Little Home in Paris

Guest: Baritone (Itabira, Brazil)
Date of Stay: 02/11/11 Review Submitted: 02/23/11

There are many good things to write about the Little Home so I´ll try to focus on what´s more important: 1-Accurate description - you get what you see! The size is bigger than usual hotel rooms for Paris. One of the reasons I chose this place was also the bathtube which is a deep one, meaning there will be enough space for a couple. That´s very relaxing after a whole day walking around Paris. 2-Very well maintained property. Clean and cozy. Heating very efficient both air temperature and water. To our surprise there were fresh flowers and a bottle of wine (it was our wedding anniversary). 3-Quartier Latin is THE place to be in Paris, very charming. Walking distance to many interesting sites and with 3 metro stations very close. Restaurants, cafes, brasseries, gardens, markets... Now to the big surprise: Sandy and Philipe are more than owners. They made us really feel at home with touches that are expected only in pricey hotels. And they make themselves totally available. There were also enough things for a light breakfast in the apartment. Anyway, our stay was made even more charming thanks to the feeling of the Parisian life and to the friendliness of the owners. So I totally recommend this place.

Charming Little Home in Paris

Guest: Ashley M (Seattle)
Date of Stay: 12/27/10 Review Submitted: 01/24/11

My husband Chris and I had the most amazing time in Paris. We stayed from December 27th, 2010 through the New Year to January 5th, 2011. Our first time to Paris, really couldn't of been any better. The apartment is little but it doesn't feel that way. It has the attention of detail like a fine hotel but with the comfort of home. It's a very small space, but it's laid out perfectly and I never once felt cramped or short on room. Sandy and Philippe's thoughtfulness shows through the entire apartment. From the roses, chocolate, fresh fruit, champagne, wine, juice, bottled water, soup, tea and all the other extras like the free international phone calling, laptop, television, cable, umbrellas, guides, maps, and the wifi that allowed me to connect my iPhone to the internet without having to suffer the roaming charges was REALLY nice! They have literally thought of everything! There was never a time where I was wishing and needing for anything else that wasn't already provided. The apartment is in walking distance to multiple metro stops, grocery stores, open air markets, bakeries, butchers, Notre Dame, and many other wonderful places. We went all over the city and never needed a car or a taxi. The Latin Quarter is a bustling neighborhood with all the amenities that you could ever need. We LOVED the pistachio pastries from Le Boulanger de Monge. It's just a 2-3 minute walk from the apartment. You could find us there nearly every day at about 7-8am! We've been home for almost three weeks and our time in Paris consumes a lot of my thoughts and day dreaming. I simply cannot wait to go back. We're hoping for December again, but ONLY if OUR Little Home in Paris is available. Sandy and Philippe, thank you again for everything. It was a pleasure meeting you and I hope we'll get the chance to see you and your city again. Ashley et Chris

This is a wonderful place to stay. The location is unbeatable -- close to Rue Mouffetard, walking distance to at least 4 Metro stops, and many sightseeing places of interest as described by other reviews. The apartment was clean and neat, and very quiet with a private courtyard. The owners, Sandy and Philippe, are truly personable and very helpful. We appreciated the personal touches on arrival - the fresh tulips, juice and water in the fridge, and a bottle of wine! They gave us a great overview of the neighborhood, starting with a welcoming email describing favorite restaurants, places to see, and things to do. Unheard of in our experience! Their interaction with us really added to our enjoyment of our vacation in Paris. They felt like personal friends when we left. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay, and will definitely stay here again the next time we go to Paris!

Lovely little place, extraordinary hosts

Date of Stay: 09/29/10 Review Submitted: 10/17/10

I want to add to the many accolades given to Sandy and Philippe, who are not your ordinary landlords. We were treated as if we were old friends. The thoughtfulness and attention to detail in the apartment are incredible. Most vacation rentals are bare and sterile, and require you to forage in a local market for more paper towels, TP, etc. Not only is the apartment well stocked with the basic necessities, there were many niceties welcoming us as well: a bottle of wine, juice, cookies, mineral water, etc. Extra adapters in the drawer, a laundry bag hanging in the wardrobe, sachets tucked in drawers and shelves, even string and tape if you should need it! The lovely welcome card listing their contact information. Lovely artwork, photos and antiques tucked here and there, making the place so warm and homey. There are several small decorative hearts hanging here and there, and this heart motif really reflects the love and caring provided to their guests. And guests -- not simply renters -- is what you are in this place. The studio is small, but extremely functional and well-located. The bathroom large enough and is totally and tastefully renovated with good fixtures, large tub and good shower water pressure. The building is very old, and originally housed workers in the local tanning industry, so you will not experience "Grand Paris." This was historically a working class neighborhood (that is, centuries after it was the Roman city of Lutecia, and later a medieval abbey), which has been gentrified and is now spiffed up. But it is not crowded or particularly touristy (other than Rue Mouffetard). The building itself retains it's historic integrity, but is clean and well-maintained, and very quiet and safe. There is an elementary school across the way, but you don't really hear them other than the rather fun bustling hours of 3:30 or 4:00, when the parents arrive to pick up their children at the day's end. As other reviewers have noted, there are plenty of local cafes, food markets, restaurants, etc. I particularly recommend the bakery La Parisienne, down rue Cardianal Lemoine, at the corner of rue Monge, and we had really great lunches at the Brasserie Descartes and dinner at L'Estrapade, on our hosts recommendation. I hope to stay here again and again, any time we can swing a return trip to Paris.

The charming little apartment at Rue Rollins was exactly as was described! Sandy and Phillipe made sure it was well stocked, from dishes and towels to wine, to condiments to unlimited telephone use to the Internet. This French couple is warm and helpful, and much better than any concierge we could hope to find. They also have an adorable, clever and friendly dog who greets you as well! We consider them our new French friends, and plan on visiting with them in the future. By renting the flat for 10 days, we were able to truly experience French living, something we feel we could not have done in a traditional hotel. Our hosts met us upon our arrival, and provided us with a brief tour of the amazing Latin Quarter. They showed us how and where to get the train, and recommended several good restaurants and touring companies, which we utilized while visiting. Although my husband and I have traveled and are pretty independent, it was so nice knowing that we had friends in Paris to call upon and visit with. We highly recommend this flat to anyone considering an extended stay in the beautiful city of lights!

The description of the location and apartment was exactly as described, located in the Latin Quarter with the Metro stations nearby and Rue Mouffetard is just around the corner from the apartment, 2 mins walk. So many shops, cafes, restuarants right at your doorstep, so convenient. It's also about 10mins walk to Notre Dame and St Michel metro station and shops, Luxembourg Gardens and Bld Saint-Germain shopping district. The owners Sandy and Philippe were so nice and helpful and had so many local advise on where to eat and shop etc. Ask them for the name of the nearby restaurant that serves the best foie gras in Paris, it's delicious! We also had drinks with them one night since they live 5 mins from the apartment. The apartment was cosy, there was 3 of us and it felt fine since we were out most of the day anyway. The free laptop and internet and maps in the apartment was very helpful and everything in the apartment was clean and tidy and very well maintained. They even have bathroom toiletries if you need it and provided all linen and towels as well. Would definitely stay there again when I come back to Paris next time and have recommended it to my friends already who are going later this year.

I always get a little nervous doing online transactions, especially for a room in another country. But I have to agree with the other comments on here: Philippe and Sandy are just fantastic. They went out of their way to help us find the apartment (driving in Paris is tricky business) and get us settled in. The apartment itself is small and there's no air conditioning, but if you can get over these minor inconveniences, the huge plus to this apartment is LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. I cannot tell you how much I loved the neighborhood. Just 2 blocks from a train station and tons of little cafes and boutiques everywhere you looked. But even though the apartment is centrally located, the building is very quiet and peaceful. The apartment itself had everything you needed...including an adapter and a corkscrew! The bathroom seemed recently renovated and was quite nice. The refrigerator came in quite handy, as well as the internet access. The gracious hosts have even put together a shelf of guidebooks and brochures of things to do in Paris. You are not going to find another place to stay in Paris that is this affordable and this much fun. Sandy & Philippe are just the nicest, most helpful people you could ask for and I would highly recommend their flat to anyone. When I come back to Paris, I will stay here again.

Perfect Honeymoon spot

Guest: Susan and Marc (New Berlin, WI)
Date of Stay: 06/23/10 Review Submitted: 12/05/10

This was my fifth trip to Paris, only this time I was able to bring my new husband. What a perfect place to celebrate our honeymoon. Sandy and Philippe were wonderful hosts and made us feel like family. We had just come from a 5 star hotel with all the amenities and although very beautiful, it felt more American than French. Because I wanted my new husband to experience the French way of life, we chose this "little home in Paris" to complete our honeymoon stay and we were not disappointed. When we arrived, there were beautiful fresh flowers, chocolates galore, and wine that welcomed us. Although the apartment is small by American standards, it is clean, cozy, intimate, and well furnished. The location is perfect to explore the city and experience and enjoy the Parisian culture and night life. The building itself is full of history and is hundreds of years old. It is literally right down the street from where Hemingway stayed. The apartment is in the heart of the Latin quarter and only a few blocks away from the nearest Metro stop so you can be anywhere you want in Paris in a matter of minutes. Sandy and Philippe were warm, friendly, and most accommodating. They not only made themselves readily available to answer our questions, but the apartment was fully stocked with brochures, tour books and guides, free internet, and the option for cell phone usage. We would love to return for an anniversary!

This little apartment in the 5th arrondisement is a jewel! All the comforts and conveniences of home in an authentic and vibrant Parisian neighborhood. Close to the Metro and a short walk to the Seine and Notre Dame. The owners were most charming and helpful in directing us to parking for our car and in suggesting restaurants and shops that allowed us to fully experience Paris while staying well within a reasonable budget. Their thoughtful little touches made the apartment most welcoming and comfortable, My Little Home in Paris was a wonderful home away from. We highly recommend it and hope to return someday.

We loved "our little home in Paris". It was small but comfortable - it had everything we needed and more. Sandy met us and gave us an intro to what was where in the home - which was wonderful. The home was tastefully done. Definite pride of ownership. The little red map book - Sandy provided - helped us not get lost. Walking distance to Notre Dame, great area to just walk around, close to the train as well, close to the stores and eating area too. We loved it. Would love to go back for a month !! We've stayed several places in Paris but nowhere as charming, convenient and enjoyable as "OUR Little Home in Paris." Sandy & Philippe think of every detail to make your stay worry-free and comfortable, from the full-size bath and internet/phone amenities to the little extras - flowers, gifts from the bakery, umbrellas and Paris guides. We look forward to our next stay and our next coffee in the sun just around the corner at Place Contrescarpe

The location was great, close to everything and a metro station nearby. The apartment was beautiful, lovely atmosphere and everything we needed. Sandy went above and beyond for us when we had a medical crisis on arrival. I loved the apartment, the area, and the kindness shown by Sandy. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

We would like to reiterate everything that has been said about our wonderful host and hostess, Sandy and Phillipe.Their genuine interest in making our week in Paris the best it could be was apparent from the moment we met. They were so kind, making themselves available for anything we may have needed. The apartment itself is exactly as pictured on the web site, absolutely adorable! If you are trying to decide on an apartment in this area this is definitely the one.At the end of our week we met Sandy and Phillipe at a cafe nearby. They enjoyed looking at some of our pictures and hearing about all we had seen and experienced in beautiful Paris throughout the week. Thank you both for the hospitality!

Outstanding Home in Paris

My husband, daughter and myself could not have imagined a more exquisite home in Paris than the petite and gracious one provided by Sandy et Philippe. The location in the Latin Quarter cannot be beat: it's in the heart of things but the flat itself is secluded and quiet and directly across the street from where Descartes lived. C'mon! Sandy and Philippe were such gracious hosts we felt that we not only had a picturesque home in Paris, but also had friends there. A chilled bottle of wine and eau mineral, pastries from the local patisserie, fresh flowers, coffee, and biscuits welcomed us. Everything you need is provided and several things you didn't think of like free internet and phone service, multiple travel books, and a posh bathroom loaded with gels, soaps, lotions, etc. I have already recommended "our" lovely flat to friends and family and look forward to returning there before too long.

This cosy and charming apartment is a wonderful place to stay at a great price. Sandy and Philippe are such generous hosts. They greeted us on arrival and had left roses, chocolates, wine, fruit and other goodies for us. Everything you need is provided including internet and free phone. The apartment is well located near shops, cafes and metro and walking distance to Notre Dame. It is very quiet, very clean with great shower and comfortable bed.I hope one day we will return to "my little home in Paris". Georgina and Phil, Canberra, Australia

My little home in Paris and the wonderful owners - Sandy and Philippe - are an absolute dream. I spent a week staying at this apartment in May and it exceeded my every expectation - gorgeously decorated, with more than anyone could ever need, in a great location where so many sights are within walking distance. Added to this, the amazing local knowledge and warmth of friendship of S & P made this Paris visit more special than ever. I can't wait to return and have no hesitation in saying that there is nowhere better to stay in Paris in terms of an amazing experience for a very reasonable price.

We have been to Paris half a dozen times and never have we had such a wonderful time, due mostly to our host and hostess and their fabulous apartment on Rue Rollin. It was most enjoyable in many ways, one being the charming Parisian way it was decorated. The decor and all the amenities were beyond wonderful. I wanted to take everything home with me. It was completely opposite of a bland and predictable hotel room. Bonuses abounded, such as the free internet and international phone service. Plus we must include the location. For us this is absolutely the best location in the Paris we love to visit. Now we will be saving our euros for a return visit to Rue Rollin.

We had such a truly wonderful visit to Paris! I went with my daughters who are 13 and 7 years of age. I was originally worried about traveling with them - - we had never been outside of the country together, I had never been to Europe, and we know very little French. Yet, it couldn’t have worked out better. The apartment and amenities that Sandy and Philippe provided made the difference. They have made such a fabulous use of the space with everything we could need – kitchen items, shampoo and toiletries, guide books, maps of the transit system, and even the computer and free phone to the U.S. It should also be noted that the apartment was very clean and kitchen and bathroom were up-to-date. We really enjoyed the neighborhood and agree that even with so much activity taking place at certain times just around the corner, the apartment was very quiet. We had absolutely no problem enjoying restful nights sleeping on the mattresses.Sandy and Philippe were so very welcoming and helpful. The other individuals we interacted with in the local shops, bakery, and market were also very willing to provide assistance. It didn’t take long for us to consider the area and the apartment as our “home.”The biggest challenge we experienced was having to say goodbye. We will treasure our time in Paris forever and certainly hope to return.

Our week in Paris was a dream come true, largely due to the hospitality of Sandy and Phillipe and our lovely "home away from home." The apartment is perfectly appointed: every corner holds another beautiful, useful treasure! To have the use of phones and internet was a huge help. We were able to enjoy our long days sightseeing then come back, relax and connect with our family in the States. The area is lively but the apartment is bilssfully quiet. We can't wait to come back and stay again. Brenda and Caitlin

“My Little Home in Paris” is truly a home with every possible amenity and convenience one could want or hope for! We had an amazing stay marveling over every little touch that Sandy and Philippe have provided. Every where we turned, in every nook, there was another little “surprise”. Sandy and Philippe are the best hosts ever and make the stay such a delight! We loved all the little extras in the apartment – the computer, the international phone, the TV, all the bathroom amenities (even a curling iron!), all the kitchen supplies, the fresh beautiful yellow roses – but we also loved the area. We arrived at the perfect time – on Sunday morning when the Place du Contrescarpe was filled with Parisians out enjoying the beautiful sunny day. The Place was full of flea market wares – vendors and shoppers; the cafes were filled with people enjoying all the activity. There was even a small group of American young people playing and singing – great entertainment! So festive and fun! We loved having all the little restaurants, patisseries, cafes, etc. so close to the apartment. It has such a great neighborhood feel to the whole area. And yet, even with all the activity, the apartment was so quiet as there was no traffic noise. To be so close to the action, but not have to endure the noise, was a great plus for us.We can’t wait to return – Merci beaucoup, Sandy et Philippe!

What a treat!. A fabulous welcome, a fabulous cosy apartment and a fabulous price. Our greeting from Sandy extended to a walkabout tour through the vibrant neighbourhood and ended with a mellow glass of wine soaking up the afternoon sun. Generous hosts who provide everything in the apartment, from plastic picnic cups, cloth napkins and a bottle opener (useful for the Eiffel Tower picnics) to wicker baskets for your morning trip to the bakery. Suitable for two, the pullaway sofa bed is comfortable, bathroom is surprisingly spacious with great water pressure, the internet and phone are a bonus, but the most exciting discovery were the white tea cups that form love hearts when topped with your morning coffee. Perhaps we were indulged, but flowers on arrival, chocolates, wine fruits, croissants and many other treats- gratias, made a wonderful memory to celebrate our 10 year partnership - many thanks.

We had been travelling for 8 weeks by the time we arrived in Paris. It would have been enough just to stay in the same place for more than one or two nights but we were totally overwhelmed by My Little Home and the fabulous hosts. Everything you can imagine was catered for and the local area was so welcoming and exciting yet relaxing. Sandy and Phillipe have thought of absolutely everthing. We could not have imagined a better end to a wonderful holiday. Thankyou so much. Gary and Rodeena Queensland Australia.

I planned a memorable trip to Paris for our daughter's high school graduation gift. We had the perfect trip and it was because of this special little apartment and the owners Sandy and Philippe! We were greeted by them on our arrival and they are the most gracious hosts you can imagine!! The apartment when we walked in was like something out of a story! Decorated very charming and with fresh roses awaiting us! In the fridge were cold bottles of water and juice, along with beautiful pastries and tarts. The most beautiful bowl of fresh fruit and cherries were there, too. I loved the wine and bought some cheese and bread right outside down the street and had wine, cheese and bread daily. My daughter and I went out every day to sightsee and shop and it was so easy as the metro took us anywhere we wanted to go. My husband feel ill one day, and it was so sweet of Philippe to go and check on him to make sure he was comfortable! Sandy and Philippe have to be THE BEST hosts in all of France. We loved going to the cafe and having coffee with you and watching the singing and dancing. You two will always hold a special place in our hearts for making our Paris stay so incredible! If I ever make it back to Paris, and the apartment is available this is where I will be! For now, I am there in my dreams...... Also, to the Alaska poet..you are awesome. If I could have put my feelings into words like that, it is exactly what I would have said.

We stumbled across the 'Little Home' online and were delighted to find it more than lived up to our expectations. It is so quiet and charming and cozy... We made good friends with the little cat that romped the courtyard just below our window. I love to cook, so it was wonderful being near the Rue Mouffetard markets and cooking a meal with the newly purchased ingredients in the tiny, well-appointed kitchen. Overall, we both found that having this little nest in walking distance of all the major attractions elevated our whole experience of Paris, a real one of a kind destination. Sandy and Phillippe made sure we felt at home from the moment we arrived. If we ever pass through the city again, this would be high on our list of places to stay.
