Nice facility but condition of unit is worn

Shores of Panama is a very nice facility. The amenties as listed were accurate and were enjoyable. The beach access was great. The outdoor and indoor pools were nice too. However the condo itself is worn. The bunk bed mattresses are awful. The springs are easily felt and poke you. The sleeper sofa was worse. We went and bought a queen air mattress it was so poor. The blanket that was provided for it I wouldn't even use to sit on the beach. It is awful! the master king bed is fine. No issues there. The carpets are very matted and worn - don't know why carpets are even there. I'd tile it, water, beach and kids don't work well on carpet here. The bathroom mats are stained and worn as well. The couches are also very worn, stained and lack any good structure. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. Everything worked and was clean. The furniture, dressers, bed frame and stools, appliances were all fine and working. To the owners defense, the unit is obviously been worn hard by clients. While we are here there are college spring breakers everywhere as obnoxious as ever. A lot of families too. Last spring break we stayed at another of the same owner properties in Gulf Shores and we were very pleased. Can't say the same for this one. Our extended family is renting two other units from same owner and they have same comments for their units here in the Shores too. Great location, facility nice, but wear and tear on beds, carpets and linens too much.

Prep for Ironman

This was perfect to stay for the local Ironman triathlon weekend. We were able to cook in, sleep comfortably. It was plenty of room for two people. The only negatives were that the elevators weren't fully functioning when we got there so unloading things was difficult. The other thing was that the parking was a bear since most of the spots closest to the ground level were all reserved. So if you wanted to go somewhere from the 11th floor of the garage, it took awhile to get all the way down. There was also an issue with the WiFi in the unit that would not allow our laptops to connect. The problem was reported but nothing came of it. We were on the way out anyhow since we were only there for 3 nights. Overall the place was really nice, clean, and well kept.

Owner response:I'm glad you enjoyed the unit and had plenty of room. From what I understand they have gotten the one elevator that was not running correctly repaired. The WiFi is controlled by the owners association and has also had the problems corrected.

Spring Break 2011

We had a great stay in the Shores of Panama 2016. The condominium was beautiful, the staff were helpful and the beach/pool was amazing. The view and extra large balcony was a great place to start and finish the day. The view from the master bedroom was also great looking out to the gulf. The owner was very helpful and has been very cooperative and answered all of my questions. The only suggestion would be to remove or change the dehumidifier in the laundry area. It was very loud so we unplugged it while we were in the unit. Also, be patient with the elevators. They can take very long. We will visit again.

This room met or exceeded our expectations in nearly every way. It was clean, well arranged, and had a fantastic view. The patio/pool area was the best I've ever seen, and the desk workers were very cordial and helpful. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to add a door to the master bathroom. The other bathroom had a door, but both bathrooms really need a door. The owner has been very helpful throughout the process, and I hope to stay at Shores of Panama again in the future.

Kelly's PCB condo is beautiful. The Shores of Panama is the nicest resort we've stayed at on the Panhandle. The view from the 20th floor is incredible. The pool area is awesome. My kids loved it. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this unit again. The reason for 4 of 5 Stars: WiFi was down while we were there, had a hassle with the front desk about length of stay (they checked us out one day early and our keys stopped working). Thanks Kelly

We had a wonderful experience at the shores of panama. The view was amazing. Everything in the condo was good. The only thing I can suggest is maybe a few more dishes in the cabinets. Other than that it was perfect. Can't wait to head down again next year. I would gladly reccomend this unit for anyone wanting to stay in PCB.

We spent December & January at Kellys place & must say we had a great time. The weather wasn't the greatest but the condo more than made up for that. Kelly, You have a beautiful place. Me and a few friends stayed three days and had such a wonderful time, we asked to stay an extra day and we hated to leave! Dear Kelly, I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your condo,everything about the condo was just wonderful. We were kinda worried about being on the 20th floor but it was just amazing. The veiw was beautiful and we had the best weather we ever had at the beach. This was our sister trip me and my three other sisters usually go to the Smoky Mountains so we thought that we would do something alittle different and we enjoyed it so much we hope that you will let us rent from you again next year. My family goes to Panama City at least twice a year. This was the first stay at Shores of Panama and it was great! The condo was very nice....very roomy and a great price! We especially enjoyed the pool and the view from the balcony. We had a fabulous time!

We had a WONDERFUL time during our 4 day get-away!!From the start it was all perfect, from the ease of checking in to that beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The condo unit was very nice and the children loved the bunk room! Everything on the property was just beautiful, the pool was amazing and perfect for families. With Pineapple Willies right next door, what more could you ask for!!! Thank you for a GREAT vacation!!! We will be back!

We just got home from 8 days in PCB and miss it already. My family had so much fun we stayed an extra day. This is a great condo for all ages. We had 2-15 yr olds and a 4 year old, they all had a great time. Tip- save your cup from Pineapple Willies and get refills at the pool tiki bar. Last year we stayed at Emerald Isle. This complex is much nicer. We highly suggest the Adventure at Sea- swim with the dolphins. Kelly you have been great to work with, if we come back to PCB next year we will be giving you a call. KELLY, I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE ROOM AND THE VIEW, IT WAS EVERYTHING U SAID IT WOULD BE. THE ONLY THING I WAS UNHAPPY WITH WAS THE TIKI BAR WAS NEVER OPEN THE WEEK I WAS DOWN THEIR.

We had a great stay in PCB. This property far surpasses everything else in PCB. Our condo was nicely furnished, roomy and clean. We took advantage of the balcony furniture and the stunning ocean view. Despite being on the 20th floor, elevators were fast and we never had to wait. The pool area is very large and beautifully landscaped. Be sure and try the fish tacos at the pool bar! We were in town for Gulf Coast Triathlon. This unit is ultra convenient for this or the Ironman race. Also, steps away from Pineapple Willies and across the street from Grocery and restaurants. We will stay here again.

Kelly, We had a grea time. We stayed Fri-Fri, and could of stayed longer. My daughters friends came over for the day & they had an awesome time, amazing pools, stunning views, enjoyed the Para-sailing, had a SUPER time & look forward to coming back next year. We stayed last year at Splash in Panama City Bch & it was much more expensive than this unit. Thanks for a GREAT Spring Break !!!
