This beautifully renovated and appointed home enjoys all the benefits of oceanfront living yet has a distinct elegance and charm that sets it apart from other St. Thomas properties. There is no other home that has the charm and privacy like The Beach House. This is the kind of home you would like to settle into and never leave. Stock your refrigerator or call the caterer and have the relaxing, laid back vacation of your life. The main house is a one bedroom house with a 1/2 bath attached to the master bedroom and a separate dressing, lounge room with full attached bath, and inclosed shower. The main house has a well appointed kitchen, dining area, large living room and outside covered dining area with large entryway into the house. Downstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed and full bath (with outside shower)
The unattached cottage has three bedrooms. Two bedrooms upstairs with a kingsize bed in one room and a queen size bed in the second room. They both share a bathroom with an outdoor very private shower. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and stairway leading up to the upstairs bathroom and its own bathroom.

This property is beautiful. The owner and his property manager Gina are very helpful. I found the property to be better than what was advertised and would happily return.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family group of 7 stayed at The Beach House for the 2010 Christmas holiday and we had an absolutely tremendous experience. The Beach House was clean, well-furnished and has all the amenities - just bring your swimsuit and get ready to relax! Donald was a gracious and helpful host and provided some great insight on where to dine and what to do on St. Thomas. Donald was also able to locate a personal chef to cater our Christmas dinner - it just worked out beautifully. The snorkeling right off the beach is excellent when the water is calm - there really is no need to travel to another beach destination when your own personal beach is a short walk right down the stairs! So if you want a beautiful, private beach location with a beautiful well-equipped home on St. Thomas, you can't do better than 'The Beach House!' Highly recommended.Did you find this review helpful? About the owner: This picture is me, Donald, and my wife Carolyn on vacation in Napa, California. We all have to vacation somewhere. I have been living in St. Thomas since 1973 and my wife since she was a little girl. We both have enjoyed our lives in St. Thomas for all of these years. We are newlyweds since May of 2008. I am a practicing dentist and my wife is in marketing with her business called ShopTalk. It has been a great deal of fun running our rental home and hope to continue doing so for many years to come.
Why the Owner Chose Caret Bay:
We chose to purchase a home where we've been living because we felt we could better manage the property more closely. It is our goal to have a home that is always clean and in good condition. We felt this only possible if we lived close to our rental home.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This home is one of very few on St. Thomas with it's own private, secluded beach. When we stay at the home ourselves, even though we live on the island, it's like we're stealing away on a short vacation ourselves.
