A Mediterranean tower house,in the famous charming city in provence, Aix en Provence, located on a hill. Beautiful view overlooking the city and modern style : 3 bedrooms, 2 with private shower room and one very large (300 sq) with a splendid view. A swimming pool, 3 shower rooms, 3 toilets, a sitting room, large terrace of 3000 sq with 180 degree view, exotic garden (palm trees), fruit disposals , veranda, barbecue, garage.

The area is very quiet. Next to a bus line. Access to food shopping 5 minutes walk and historical center 15 minutes walk. Whithin one hour drive, you go to Avignon, Marseille and the sea, the fabulous Calanques, Nîmes and Lubéron, les baux de provence. With 2 hours drive, you go to the Riviera, Camargue, or southern Alps mountains. You can also visit charming villages and the famous Sainte Victoire Mountain painted many times by Cézanne. Aix also offers elegant cafés and colorful squares with fountains.

No problem for parking, we have a garage. Aix en provence is well situated for exploring Provence and Côte d'azur, french Riviera. We can arrange someone to meet you and show you my favorite provencal places. From our house, you can explore aix quite conveniently and enjoy all its main points of interest : pedestrian street, historical center, outdoors markets and the thermal baths.

  • In previous vacations I have always stayed at hotels because I've always thought it's a less stressful and more convenient arrangement than having to deal with the untried vacation homes than can potentially turn out to be disappointing. This first experience turned out to be a delightful one. Everything that was described about La Soudanaise in the website was true, and better than expected. What I liked firt when we arrived at the house was that everything was in order, very clean and well-maintained. There was a user guide, a manual of sorts for every appliance in the house, which is very helpful esp. if the guests are not familiar with European-model appliances. There was also a guide book of nearby tourist sites and favorites around the area, as well as travel books about Provence. The house is on a quiet neighborhood, is very spacious and modern, and we really felt like we were on vacation,not just living somewhere. The pool was well situated with a patio and near a balcony where the family can have get-togethers or share meals after short trips outside Aix. The house itself is very nicely located and close to the town and surrounding countryside or city tourist destinations, like Gordes, Avignon, and Arles. This was a very pleasant first for us and I will highly recommend to friends when visiting Provence.

  • "A picture is worth a thousand words". The home is both quiet and relaxing. It has a wonderful view of the Aix En Provence. My family enjoyed seven days in this French paradise. The location is within walking distance to a wonderful bakery and grocery store. It is also very close to downtown Aix En Provence. We drove to the downtown area but there is a bus line near the bakery that you could utilize. The home was clean and had all the amenities. We ejoyed meals on the deck overlooking the pool. We traveled to Cassis which is only 20 minutes away by car. We also went to Arles and Gordes which are two sites not to be missed if traveling to Southern France. We spent most of our time around the Aix En Provence. It has a great outdoor market on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. There are also artisians selling their crafts on Monday's. They probably sell them more often we only stumbled across it on a Monday. The description and pictures of the home are completely accurate. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and cooking utencils for preparing a meal for our party of six and then some. There is a coffee pot for morning coffee on the deck overlooking the city. It is peaceful and you can hear the birds singing. The house itself is incredibly quiet and well built. There was a wind storm one of the nights we were there and we only saw the trees swaying out the window. The house is incredibly clean and very well maintained. I would definately stay there again and recommend to friends and family. "
