Great Place To Stay
Great Place To Stay
We stayed with a group of 7 and loved every minute of it. The view was spectacular. It was awesome to have your own kayaks and snorkel gear to use. We brought steaks with us and cooked out one night. I would say that a car is a must to be able to see the island. I would also make sure you bring plenty of bug spray. The owners did have candles for us to use which was a big help. The electric went out one night and the caretaker was a huge help by making sure we had flashlights and that the generator was on. We were also able to meet the owners, who gave us great advice on where to go and what to see. We loved going to Craig & Sally's it was one of the highlights of the trip. It was a great location to snorkel and everything else was about a 15min. drive. We would for sure stay here again. Loved it!!

Manager response: We are so glad that you had a wonderful time. St. Thomas is beautiful and offers lots of things to do but it is one of the more costly islands. We strive to make the most of the VIlla, beach and surroundings and to keep it affordable for families. We can't wait to see you there again soon
Frenchman’s Beach Villa is a wonderful, private hideaway in a great neighborhood. We had the pleasure of staying there for two weeks and loved every minute. There is great kayaking, snorkeling and lots more fun to be had on your own private beach. You can kayak or walk either way off the property to other beaches as well, both public and private. We loved the outdoor shower and the beautiful stone walkway to our own private beach. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped We cooked in often for the simple fact that you really didn’t want to leave this great house. The foliage is lush and tropical. The views are great as well…..we watched the Rolex Regatta from the beach. This location is ideal for all your vacation expectations. There are great restaurants nearby and a short taxi ride will get you to Redhook if you want to catch a ferry to St. John or Tortola or….. Charlotte Amallie and Havensight for shopping and marina hopping. We would recommend this villa to anyone….from adventurous types to families with children, to couples who want a romantic, relaxing getaway. It really does offer it all. We will be returning!

A most excellent vacation
A most excellent vacation
Since I would be turning 70 soon, I wanted to arrange a special, island, vacation for my family and a few close friends. My family included me (70), my son and his girl friend (40 & 34), my daughter and her boyfriend (32 & 49) and two friends (50 & 50). The ages are important in that all of us are very active and we wanted a place that had a lot of things close by to do for our diverse age group. We could not have found a better place to stay for this special vacation. We snorkled everyday, right off the beach (that happens to be stone) as well as at relatively close by sandy beaches. We also kayaked a lot using kayaks furnished by the villa. We scheduled a sailboat/snorkel trip that was fantastic along with a "swim with the porpoises" at Tortolla. The villa was perfect for our group with plenty of room and was very nicely layed out that included a large, elevated deck for our morning coffee, lunches, and drinks. The roads around the area are a chalange to negotiate, but you get better at it as time goes by. The stone steps to the beach are not for anyone that has difficulties with steps. The owners happened to be there, along with the caretaker, that were very helpfull in answering all our questions that vacationers have when they are new to the area. These are the main comments I have in regard to our vacation as there many more positive smaller I could make. It would have been nice to have had a swimming pool/outside hot tub, but I understand that they are in the works for a future date. We ended up swimming at a pool at a nearby resort. If you have a larger group, are active, want clear, clean, warm water and want a lot of water activities, great view(s), nice people and located relatively close to a town (Redhook), this villa should work out very well for you. As we summed up our special vacation, we would not have changed a thing.
