Why the Owner Chose Cavriglia

We were wandering in the area when we saw an abandoned building nestling in a little valley next to a small uncontaminated stream....we decided to have a closer look ..... and we felt in love with it, luckily it was on sale !

The Unique Benefits at this Apartments in Country Villa

Mulino di Rimaggio is in a rural area, away from the most crowded and visited towns of the Chianti area, but not too far to visit when we like.
It is ideal for relaxing or enjoy the company of our friends. The phone doesn't ring, there isn't any computer to check the mail, any Pay TV, we can finally read the book that we bought some time ago, pet our flowers, cook or simply sit, close the eyes and listen to sounds of nature.

Owner's Map of Cavriglia

Gloria and Francesca: our life styles and experiences are very different, and thanks to this "mixed blessing" at beginning of the nineties with our husbands we decided to embark on our incredible adventure that has brought new life to our Mulino di Rimaggio.
Today each of us contributes dynamically to the management and hospitality of this exclusive resort drawing on our own individual experience and knowledge.
Passionately in love with Tuscany, enthusiastic about its history and territory and ready to share our knowledge with you so you too can have your own special memories of our mill and its surroundings.

When you roll the dice from thousands of miles away on a rental property rarely are you as pleasantly surprised as my wife and I were with our experience at Mulino Di Rimaggio. The correspondence with Francesca prior to the visit was courteous and professional. Upon arrival, the property was actually more beautiful than displayed on the website. All of the amenities within our unit (the Hayloft) and on the property are 1st class and well worth the rental price. What made our trip truly special was that we felt like friends versus rental customers. I would strongly recommend Mulino and we look forward to coming back as soon as we can!

    • I threw a coin in the Trevi so I know I will return and when I do the first place I will inquire about is Mulino de Rimaggio. It was the perfect setting for our first trip to Italy. I only wish we had more than a week to stay there. You were the most gracious of hosts. Everything was just as described on your web site. It was like having a picture come to life. Your hard work and love are evident in all aspects of the Mill, from the beautiful landscaping to the attention to detail on the inside. We even bought a coffee maker to bring home and a ceramic piece from Antonio and Gloria's shop. It is the perfect location to explore the surrounding hill towns and was like coming "home" at the end of the day. Francesca, I didn't want the tour of Florence to end. Many thanks for your time and knowledge. I would describe it as being in the presence of an artist as they describe their work. Your love for Florence was so well conveyed and much appreciated. Antonio, many thanks to you for the wonderful conversation of insight and knowledge you have of your country. We learned many things. From ceramics to plumbing, to driving to festivals and things in between. There is not a negative thing I could say about our stay and I highly recommend Mulino di Rimaggio to anyone. Once again thank you and I hope to see you again someday soon. Warmest of regards, Lori

    • Close your eyes and dream of an ideal Tuscan setting: At the end of an unpaved road there’s a mill surrounded by vineyards and trees, a stream flowing behind it, an inviting pool in the sun to relax in, and way up perched on the hill, is an ancient town overlooking it all. These visual delights greeted us when we arrived and at the Mill, Mulino di Rimaggio. And, we were further pleased to meet the most delightful owners and hosts, Francesca, Roberto, and Gloria, who went out of their way to greet us, provide us with a welcoming bottle of wine as well as basic provisions, and took the time to sit and chat and tell us all about the area and the history of the mill. The Hayloft was comfortable, clean and we wanted for nothing. My husband, our friends, and I have rented houses around the world and can truly say that staying at the Mill for a week was one of the most wonderful experiences we have had. Also, thank you Francesca for the wonderful tour and Roberto for your charming company. We cannot wait to return. Mary & Gary Gies, Bev & Rick Perez (June 3-10, 2009)

      Homeowner Response:
How lovely it was to meet you Mary, Gary, Bev and Rick! We miss our chats about fishing - little fish ! - but the sunflowers are there as a memory of your time at the Mill. Thank you for coming and we hope to have you back.

. Date of Stay: July 2008 We loved Tuscany and the Mulino di Rimaggio is a very special place indeed. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and forests and nestled at the bottom of a secluded valley, the mill provided the ideal place for our family to enjoy the peaceful beauty of Tuscany and well as being a base to explore surrounding villages and towns like San Gimignano, Sienna and Florence and the stunning scenic area of Chianti. The owners Francesca, Roberto, Gloria and Antonio could not have been more welcomming. We arrived to a delicious meal and right from the start of our holiday, we knew we were on to something special. The mill and surrounding gardens and pool were spacious and immaculately maintained and we felt like it was a real home from home. The swimming pool, shaped like the old mill pond and keeping in character with the mill is where we whiled away the hours relaxing and watching the profusion of butterflies and small lizards going about their daily business. We had italian cookery lessons from Francesca and Gloria, with our children (and us adults) making pasta and tiramisu the traditional way. We enjoyed the food so much that we made it again on our own, having mastered the skills. Francesca gave us a guided tour of Florence which was a great way to appreciate the art and culture of this wonderful city. The Boy David statue by Michael Angelo was the highlight along with the frescos and gold mozaics in the baptistry. The food and wine was great everywhere we ate and there was always something for everyone! We would definately recomend the Mulino di Rimaggio to anyone who wants to base themselves in the peaceful surroundings of Tuscany but yet wants to be close enough to the sites of interest. We will be back Nicola, Richard, Jennifer, Daniel, Julie & Jane.

Dear Francesca and Roberto It's now a week since we have returned to England and work, but our hearts and minds are still in Tuscany! I don't know how we can thank you all enough for the welcome that you gave us and for the stay in your very special house. Your kindness and hospitality made our stay more than just a holiday and has fired up our desire to know so much more about Florence and Tuscany. May we take this opportunity to thank you again Francesca for taking us round Florence on your 'special' tour. It made such a difference to us to have an insight into a city from someone who clearly loves it so much. A very special introduction for us. We know that it was the first trip of many to come and hopefully the first of many gelatos !

Hi Francesca, Roberto, Gloria and Antonio, Thank you for the photos you mailed me. It will be a good reminder for us to return. We had a terrific time. It was a good mixture of relaxation, sightseeing shopping and eating. Meeting all of you was an extra bonus this holiday. You are terrific people who truly care that your clients enjoy their holiday. Thats very rare nowadays when most people are just interested in making money. You were all so generous with your time and gifts. It was all much appreciated.
