The Great room has a soaring river rock fireplace, two-story wood paneled ceilings, and plenty of space for your entire group to gather. Antique skis, skates, snowshoes, and sleds add whimsy.
Our Theater Room features a big screen TV with surround sound and lots of wonderful seating. Looking over the woods and river, the Sunroom features a pool table and over-sized chairs, great for morning coffee or evening billi ards!
Our Kitchen is filled with dishes, flatware, pots and pans, and small appliances. Blue Goose features Two Dishwashers and Two Refrigerators! Feed an army or have a quiet dinner for just a few on the back deck. Either way, you should find what you need to work with.
The Incredible Sunroom features a Pool Table and an intimate sitting area; a great place to watch the deer grazing in the back yard in the morning while you enjoy your coffee, or for a rousing Pool Tournament at night!

- King Bed : The Dancing Bear, Pine Cone, Vine Maple, and Waterfall suites all feature King Beds, with beautiful custom made duvets and coordinated drapes with room darkening features. Each gorgeous suite has its own theme, for example, the Waterfall suite has an exhilarting Waterfall feature that provides an amazing massage after a long day on the slopes or the bike...or just to relax, every day of the week, during your holiday in Sunriver!
- Queen Bed : One suite, the lovely Falling Leaf Suite, features a beautiful wrought iron Queen Bed, with a rich custom made duvet and coordinated draperies.
- Twin/Single Bed : The wonderful River Suite features two twin beds, beautiful duvets and drapes, and a stunning picture of a Grizzly Bear. The bath in this suite features a River cascading through the center of the floor, and a 300 pound bolder for seating in the shower!
- Convertible Bed : One queen sized sleeper sofa and one twin sized convertible bed in the Theater Room provides a private space for a small family, or a group of kids. A full bath with shower is right across the hall.
- Child Bed : Two twin sized sleeper sofas are located in the Sunroom. There is a full bath on the first floor to share with the group in the Sunroom.
- Crib : Please just let us know if you need a crib...we have extra sheets and blankets for your little one, so you'll be all set.
- Entertainment
- Jetted Tub in Bath : There are three total tubs in the house, with seven showers. One of the tubs is jetted, but one of the others has a waterfall...kind of a trade off. The third tub is a Japanese style soaking tub.
- Private Hot Tub : Large 6 to 8 tub just for your use. The Blue Goose is in such a quiet location, away from the busy noise of central Sunriver, you can hear the owls and watch the stars...all night long.
- Cable/Satellite TV : Yes, 9 TV's so nobody has to fight for what they want to watch...It's vacation after all! So one in each bedroom, one in the Sunroom, one in the Greatroom, and then, a Big Screen HD in the Media Room!...9, right?

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Our family has been visiting Sunriver since 1994, and it has become a home away from home. There are so many amazing things to do, that we have always had great vacations. Kayaking, canoeing, and rafting, rock climbing, trail and road biking,swimming, and of course, golf and tennis. And then there are all of the fun places to visit in Bend and the surrounding area...trips up the ski lift at Mt. Bachelor in the summer time to have a sunset dinner at the Pine Marten Lodge's Scapolo's restaurant,shopping at the Old Mill District, visiting the High Desert Museum. There is so much to do that everybody ends their vacation happy and feeling like they did something for themselves.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We've carefully crafted the Blue Goose Lodge to meet our guests needs. We and our three children have had many reunions over the years with my husband's family; sixteen of us, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, all in large homes for two weeks in the summer: Italy, France, Germany, and the United States. Our design for the Blue Goose Lodge, with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, and lots and lots of group spaces, came out of experiences with these reunions. We know that everyone needs to have a little space for themselves separate from the group, and that the group needs to have beautiful spaces to gather and have fun. And we wanted you to feel like you're staying at a good friend's house, not a boring vacation home. We hope you enjoy the results of our efforts!
When we go to the Blue Goose Lodge, it's almost always for a work weekend. In seven years, we've vacationed at our own home once! But that's okay, because we didn't buy our home to be our vacation retreat, we bought it so that it would be yours. Our goal is to keep our home fresh and in great repair so that each renter has the same great experience as the first renters back in 2002. We hope that you stay with us, you'll find that we have met this goal.

My name is Lisa Stevenson and I am the owner and manager of the
Blue Goose Lodge in Sunriver. My husband and I purchased this beautiful home in 2002, and spent the next year remodeling, adding on three new bedrooms,four bathrooms and the gorgeous sunroom! At one point in the renovation we had literally taken the roof off of half of the house, in order to start the addition. It was November, and I was in Sunriver,visiting from our home in the Portland area, to help coordinate parts of the remodel. It seemed crazy to rent a hotel room when we owned this house, until it started to snow in the middle of my first night there! And we had no roof. Obviously, turning on the heat made no difference, because the warm air just rose to the top of the house, and well, literally did "heat up the outside." I stood on the second floor landing, looking down into the living room, looking up to the sky, snow flakes falling on my 'nose and eyelashes...'
It was wonderful. One of the most fun things I've ever done.

The "Christmas House" 2010

We brought my mother, four married children, their spouses, and seven grandchildren age 4 and under to Blue Goose Lodge for Christmas in 2010, and nothing, really, could have been any better. The descriptions in the listing are accurate, the photos are acurate but don't quite do justice to the appearance and amenities of the house, the property was clean and well-maintainted, and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for an exceptionally nice place to stay. Activities, attractions: We had an "Elf Tuck-In" and the Elf, Peppermint, who visited us was excellent with the children. We took the 3 and 4 yr olds ice skating, more than once because everyone had so much fun. We reserved 3 sleighs at the Sunriver Stables and everyone very much enjoyed a sleighride. We played in the snow and ate at home. I can't say enough about how lovely it was to stay at Blue Goose Lodge. It is such a warm, comfortable, welcoming and lovely home, and Lisa was wonderful to work with and extremely generous and helpful. All the rooms and spaces are completely and tastefully furnished, and the house contained everything we needed. The kitchen was very well furnished and, surprisingly to me in a rental property, has very good knives (I'd brought my own and didn't need them) as well as plenty of serving dishes and pots and pans for cooking for a large group.. Lisa even had Christmas decorations all around the house. The bedrooms were all beautifully done (not just one, and not just the living room, etc), the beds very comfortable - my daughter said she and her husband realized they had slept every night with backache-free, which they hadn't been doing at home. We have never done anything like this before and people were skeptical about leaving home for Christmas, but everyone had the most wonderful, delightful time at Blue Goose Lodge, and I think they wish we could return every year. When we ask my oldest grandson how he liked the "Christmas House" he smiles thoughtfully and says quietly, " I liked it. Every single part." The rest of the children and the eleven adults resoundiingly agree. Thank you, Lisa, for a warm, wonderful, and truly memorable stay in your beautiful home. Pat

Nice!!! Enjoyed the three and a half day retreat. Pool, multiple TV's, late go-to-bedders, late get-er-uppers, etc. However, takes three days to find a specific room without getting lost a couple of times. Perhaps you could lay out a tape on the floor--or better yet, a GPS/satellite connection. Anyway, I (of 25+ or - others) enjoyed the facilities, the housec, etc. (Guest LS) We all enjoyed a fun, long weekend. This was a special place. Wow! So much space and so lovely. What a fabulous retreat, great food, friends, drinks, & fellowship, during a great Holiday Weekend. The first K's We had a great time here. You have a very beautiful home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were extremely comfortable. You really out did yourself with the furnishings. We had 8 adults and 4 children and we all fit perfectly! Sunriver is such a great place with so much to do and these accomodations made it that much better. The pool table was a big hit and made for friendly competition. Thanks again for a wonderful labor day weekend.

Thank you. We had a wonderful time in your Sunriver home. Our tennis group has been renting a large lodge each fall for many years. This was our first at Blue Goose Lodge and was our best yet. If we are all able to come next year it will surely be back to Blue Goose Lodge. Thank you again.

Hot summer days float happily by, When you are in such a comfortable home. Beautifully furnished and with all diversions to try, One is almost reluctant to roam. Yet Sunriver is calling with its outdoor fun, Using this house as a base. By canoe or by bike, slow walk or fast run, Everyone sets their own pleasing pace.
