We stayed in this great cottage when we were in town for a UT football weekend. The location was perfect for getting to the campus as well as wonderful restaurants & shopping on South Congress. The neighborhood is a wonderful place for walks and picnicking. Although our favorite spot in the entire neighborhood was the back patio at the cottage. We enjoyed breakfast and evenings out by the pond. The house had everything we needed - comfortable beds, room to relax and visit, cookware to prepare breakfast for the patio and an ipod docking station and speakers to enjoy our music. Would highly recommend this great vacation cottage.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Casita! We picked this house because of the location and all of the wonderful amenities. The home delivered more than that, it offered a place to make memories for us and our extended family. We enjoyed walks to SoCo restaurants and shops, swimming in Stacey pool for free, playing in the park and creek and relaxing in the hottub for the first few days. Then we had a nice size family gathering of relatives. We smoked a large brisket in the smoker and various other meats on the gas grill. It was very comfortable for our party and everyone loved the house! I can't wait to go back to Austin and stay here again! The communication with the owners was flawless as well. Kudos to Jac and Jeff for making us feel welcome!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The description of this charming place was good but fell short of how quaint it was. We lived in Austin years ago and if you ever wanted to know what Austin neighborhoods were like before it became the mecca it is today, stay in this wonderful place. It is small yet roomy with fabulous Teas decor that adds to its cabin-like interior. It was quiet which we were hoping for. The huge live oak tree stretches its limbs in front of the porch overlooking a xeroscaped front. We walked a short block or two to the neighborhood pool to cool off and relax. One thing to keep in mind is this place is not for the bad knees. It is quite the climb to the front door but that is part of the attractiveness of the experience. We had a few minor questions and they were answered immediately. Can't say enough good things about it - you'll just have to rent it fto find out or yourself. We'll be back for sure.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We have just returned from a fabulous vacation in Austin. We chose the Cozy Cabin due to it's location and facilities and were not dissapointed! The cabin is very clean, homely and comfortable so we settled in very quickly after our long flight. The owner has thought of every amenity and responded promptly to any queries we have both in the run up to and during out trip. We loved the hot tub and our two children looked forward to feeding the fish every other day. Right accross the street is an outdoor heated pool, with lifeguards and changing failities, which we we took full advantage of. The cool area of SoCo with it's 50s style and restaurants to suit all tastes, retro stores, vintage clothing shops and a great trailer food park was 10 minutes walk away through leafy quiet streets and Stacy Park. Although the cabin is really close to the city centre, you feel like you are in the middle of the country as it is a very green and leafy neighbourhood with squirrels aplenty. Zilker Park is a 5 - 10 minute drive away and you can walk for hours turtle and bird stopping as well as cycle and kayak. Barton Springs is a fabulous amenity and a great place to cool down in the summer heat. We cannot recommend the cozy cabin highly enough and hope to return in the not too distant future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our family of four spent nine days in Austin this summer for a volleyball tournament and couldn't have asked for better accommodations. This two-bedroom house is a charming renovation that includes all the amenities you could want, is close to so many cool Austin restaurants, shops and trailers on SoCo and the surrounding areas and is a very short walk to the warm, spring-fed outdoor pool at Big Stacy park. Everything at the house was as wonderful as described, it is well maintained and clean and there is even a large bonus room with a six-person dining table and window views of the quaint backyard. You will love this place. P.S. We do suggest parking out front on the street since the driveway is pretty steep...but other than that, this place is a wonderful retreat.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, girls getaway.

We found the cabin to truly be cozy and comfortable. It is in a great loation to access all of Austin's attractions and a short ride to Jo's for morning coffee. The house was just the right fit for us. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning is super. Nice quiet and safe neighbrhood feel. Would definetly come again. My family and I had a wonderful time at your cozy cabin. This was our first visit to Austin and we found the cabin was perfect for our needs. We loved the surroundings! Everything was very clean when we arrived. We had all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. The jacuzzi was a real plus..we used it in the morning and at night! The coi pond was a hit with my younger daughter who also found a toad in it! She loved the backyard. The location was close to all to the cool shops/restaurants on South Congress but tucked in the hills so we didn't feel like we were too close to the action. Thanks again and we hope to use your cabin again in the near future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cottage in Travis Heights. We walked through Big Stacey Park and went for a swim in the pool across the street almost every day we were there. We ended most busy days in the hot tub. Very quiet location and close to everything we like to enjoy in Austin. Great communication and great service from the owners. We would recommend this home to any active couple or active couple with older kids.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
