My wife and I spent a week in this unit in the Meridian, a well located condo/resort on 24th & N. Ocean Blvd. The building is well maintained, the staff friendly and helpful, the unit was clean and equipped with all amenities advertised. The parking garage was a real plus, and the direct ocean front view is fabulous. This unit is of excellent value and will match the needs and budget of most vactioners to Myrtle Beach. The proximity to the boardwalk (about a 10 minute walk) provides easy access to the skywheel and shops in the historic downtown, and an avenue for brisk exercise walks/jogs for fitness minded folks. We enjoyed our stay.

Spring Break Family Vacation

We stayed in this condo with our children for spring break and had a marvelous time. The view from our balcony was breathtaking and watching the sun rise over the ocean was a wonderful way to start our day. Our children loved the option of having both an indoor and outdoor pool to play in, and the ocean is just a short stroll away. A quick car trip got us to everything we wanted to do while in Myrtle Beach including the Nascar Speedway, Wonder Works, Broadway on the Beach, Pirates Voyage dinner show and Family Kingdom Amusement Park. The condo is beautifully decorated and larger than anticipated I from the photos, it was a perfect home away from home for our family. There was even laundry facilities in the indoor pool area for us to use. We had so much fun that my son requested another trip to the beach as we were loading the truck to go home. We look forward to renting from Rufia again for our next beach vacation!

This unit was nicer than pictured. Owner has recently remodeled with all new kitchen appliances, new bathroom, and new ceramic floors throughout. We were the first to use after remodeling and the condo is beautiful. We found it to be immaculately clean and comfortable. Rufia is a pleasure to work with and went out of her way to return some items that we had left. I would recommend this to anyone. When you visit, be sure to ride the new ferris wheel on the boardwalk. It was awesome.

My wife and I stayed at the Meridian Plaze with our son in early November. Really enjoyed a well needed break from reality. Our stay was exactly what we hoped, the condo was clean and well organized. The location was perfect to gain access to everything with a short walk. Compared to previous vacations I got everything I paid for an more (it was nice to actually receive what was advertised). I would recommend MTB for anyone looking for a fun getaway for a weekend or even a week. A lot to as a couple or to entertain your whole family. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you again next year.

My husband and I stayed in this unit in September and had a great time. The unit is good for two people but with kids it would be tight.The pictures and the description on the web sight is accurate and Rufia was easy to work with. The Meridian is real close to the new boardwalk. (which the town of Myrtle Beach did a fantastic job on) We were able to walk down to the boardwalk with it's many stores and places to eat.

I stayed at the Meridian Plaza at the end of Sept with my husband and two kids. The location is very central, with many attractions and restaurants and things to do in walking distance. The unit was very clean and comfortable for my family. The views are unbelivabke. Front desk staff are really nice and helpful. I'm truly left with great memories and would book my vacation there in the future.

The Ceiling Fell in from Mildew and Mold!

I arrived at on Saturday, September 3rd. Upon arrival, I was disappointed that this unit is not at all as described. There is nothing "new" about this unit. The furniture is old and used and it looks like it was purchased from a thrift store. The sofa was stained and had a cigarette burn on it, the coffee table had water stains on it, the furniture was covered in dust, the ceiling and vents covered in mold and mildew, and the dishes placed back in the cabinet dirty. I called the owner and explained the unit was dirty and she replied "so what seems to be the problem?" The next day, a man knocked on the door holding a bottle of dish washing detergent and said he was told to come by and drop it off so we could wash the dirty dishes. There are two beds in the unit. Very worn and uncomfortable, full-size beds. The ceiling has buckled from damage and the furniture has water damage in the bedroom. The owner said if there was any problem to contact the cleaning company she hires. I contacted them and no one ever answered the phone or returned my calls. Since this unit is not managed by the Meridian, they said we were on our own. They could not place us in a different unit or do anything for us. By the second day, my husband and I were sick from breathing the mold coming out of the vents. It has been a week and we are still sick. My husband is missing work because he is sick. Later in the week, the ceiling in the bathroom started falling in the tub from where mold and mildew had been building for weeks, maybe months. I went downstairs to report the problem and the Meridian informed me to contact the owner. The owner never called me back. The Meridian sent a plumbing company and upon inspection, the ceiling did fall into the bathtub. I'm thankful no one was taken a shower when this happened. I was informed that this was one of the worst units in the building. It is not cleaned properly nor is it maintained like the other units in this building. The one good thing, the Meridian is in a good location.

Owner response:First we would like to address the issue of the falling ceiling and mold/mildew. This was due to the unit above us having leak. As soon as the leak caused the ceiling to fall, the Meridian Plaza maintenance team was in our unit, the same day, repaired the ceiling and completely cleaned the area. There was absolutely no evidence of mold or mildew after they left. We confirmed this with a 3rd party cleaning company. In addition, our contract requires that the renter leave the unit in the same condition as when they left it. All items/appliances/furniture must be in working condition other than normal wear & tear. This unit was in terrible condition after this guest departed. It required extra cleaning from my cleaning company. Items in the kitchen were either missing or broken. The guest had the audacity to place this review after we told them they would not get the $100 deposit back. The $100 does not come close covering the repair and cleaning needed to return the unit to acceptable standards. In addition we reached out to the guest staying at our unit in the week prior and they left an excellent review. This was done out of spite due to this guest not receiving their damage deposit back. I am a small business person renting 2 units in Myrtle Beach. I have had many renters over the past 5 years and none have been this difficult to deal with. Our contract calls for the unit to be left in the same condition as when the renter took possession. This renter did not do that. Any profit I had on this week was lost on the additional burden this renter left on me to prepare the unit for the next renter. Our contract clearly states it is our right to retain the deposit. This is only the second time I have had to retain a deposit in four years.

My wife and two kids stayed in this wonderful beach condo in late August. The location of the Meridian was perfect and within walking distance to everything. The Meridian is an older resort but it is very well taken care of and clean. The unit itself was also great - just the right size for our family and well decorated and cared for. The owner Rufia was very helpful and responsive throughout the whole process and made the entire experience a very pleasant one. We'll definitely consider staying here again next year for our family vacation.

We checked into this condo on 06/18/11 and stayed for 7 days. We were pleased with the unit. It was clean and we were supplied with everything that we needed. The kitchen was nicely stocked with lot of utencils. The view from the beach front balcony was beautiful although we were disappointed that the balcony was not private from the neighbors on either side. The Meridian is in a great location - we could walk to restaurants, the pier/boardwalk, downtown shops and it was just a short distance from Broadway at the beach. We would stay again on our next visit to Myrtle Beach and recommend it to our friends and family.

My Wife, Myself, and our 4 year old spent two weeks in this condo and We loved it. The description on the VRBO site is exactly as advertised and Rufia made our visit problem free. The location is excellent and just a short walk down the beach to the new Boardwalk area. Pools and Hot tubs were perfect and You are so close to the Ocean that when You are sitting in the living room, all You can see out the patio doors is water. Our favourite restaurants were The Sea Captain (breakfast buffet), River City Cafe, and Dirty Dons, all a few minutes walk away. Also great sandwiches at The Bagel Factory. Short walk to the centre of the main strip and only a 5 minute drive to Broadway at the Beach. I highly recommend this condo and My family will booking again for next year. Thanks Rufia!

We stayed in this suite the week of Labor Day and had an absolutely wonderful time. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable, and you absolutely can't beat the view and location! The suite was beautifully decorated as well. I was nervous about renting through VRBO as I had never done it before, but Rufia made the process an absolute breeze. I hope to return to MB this summer (2011) as well, and if so I'll be looking at Rufia's properties before I look anywhere else!

I must admit I was somewhat skeptical of renting online without an agency. Rufia was very responsive to questions and promptly replied. Condo was just as it appeared in the photos. We had a great time at Myrtle Beach. This place was right on the ocean. Perfect distance for going to and from the pool, beach and room. No need to tote everything to the beach all at once. We loved it! There are shops and restaurants close to the room. We also walked to the Boardwalk (new 2010). It only took us about 10 minutes. The owner was great. Answered all our questions.

We stayed here the week of 5/23/2010 and was very impressed with the condo. The best part was how convenient everything was. We could easily walk along the strip, check out the new boardwalk which is verrrry nice, visit Pier 14 and grab a bite to eat or just catch some sun. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back in the future!

My son and I stayed in this nicely decorated condo in April 2009. The building was well kept and the staff at the Meridian Plaza were friendly and very helpful. The building is centrally located therefore close to everything in Myrtle Beach. The room was clean, well appointed and the balcony view of the Ocean and beach are beautiful. The owner was very accessible before ,during and after our stay. We had a enjoyable experience and would definitely stay there again.
