  We had a wonderful break at the beach cottage. I particularly liked the lounger on the BBQ deck for relaxing and reading. Traffic noise is muted by the garage, and the birdsong is delightful. Neighbors were friendly. Nina was attentive without being at all intrusive. People and pelican watching from front porch was an evening delight. Both bedrooms were inviting and clean, and kitchen had everything that we needed.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This home is in an excellent location, close to beaches and many attractions. It is spacious and comfortable with lots of privacy in the yards. Everything is provided to have a worry-free vacation. We enjoyed watching all the activity from the front porch, including the beautiful sunsets. Taking the Coaster to Old Town and San Diego was a relaxing way to travel and view the beautiful scenery along the coast. We would definitely come back for another stay.

  My husband and I stayed in this darling home for 11 nights over the holidays this year. It is a perfect home for couples. Lots of room to spread out, but cozy, too. Long walks everyday and close to everything you want to do and see.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  My wife and I have used VRBO extensively over the last few years, and have enjoyed wonderful properties around the world. This property is TOPS on our list. It is well appointed, thoughtfully equipped, beautifully situated, and perfectly maintained. We enjoyed quiet privacy beside a busy oceanfront thoroughfare. Beach access was easy. Good food was close by. San Diego was a short drive away. Our week in Carlsbad ended way too soon -- we'll be back!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

  Our family has just returned from another wonderful stay at this beach house. We stayed last year, and loved it so much that we came back for double the time this year. This rental home actual feels just like that, "home". Not only are the owners and their family wonderful, but the neighborhood is welcoming. We were recognized from our previous and invited to attend a neighborhood fourth of July event. I can not recommend this location enough. We plan to make this an annual destination.

  We are a professional couple who stayed at this wonderful beach house over the Thanksgiving holiday. I can't say enough about our great experience here. This is a classy, impeccably maintained, high-quality, tastefully appointed home. The internet pictures are highly accurate but hardly do it justice. In reality, the place is warm, beautiful, and very homey. The property was spotlessly clean upon our arrival, both inside and out. Every dish and gadget you could reasonable want was available in the well-stocked cabinets. Best of all, you can't beat the location as it is literally right across from a gorgeous beach. There are also nice appointments like an outdoor shower to rinse sand off of your feet, and a handy washer/dryer for laundry. The furniture is all very good quality. Everything worked perfectly too (TV, toaster, lights, etc). Again, I must reiterate that I've never stayed at a cleaner place. The owner clearly cares deeply about this property, and rightly so - it's a winner. We can't wait to return!

  My 2 friends and I had such a pleasant stay at this really cool beachhouse. So many comfortable places to "hang out". We not only found everything we needed but it was all first class stuff. Loved it!

  Very nice beach house - lots of space, very clean, nice yard for kids. Nice location all around - close to Legoland and the freeway to get into SD, and of course the beaches in Carlsbad. We were very happy with our stay.

  My family stayed here for a fabulous week. The house and location far surpassed our expectations. The beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped, and the house itself is beautiful and has a lovely character. Highly recommended.
