We just returned from a wonderful stay in this darling beach cottage. We will always stay here from now on when we return for visits to CA. with our family. The cottage is very well appointed and I cooked Christmas and New Years dinner with ease. The location was perfect and close to everything. It was just perfect and would recommend to anyone going tho the LA area. Mark and Alison

This property made our holiday, it was very clean, tidy and comfortable. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of space for us all without feeling crowded. Olivia was very welcoming and had thought of everything, even down to providing a dressing gown. Myself and my family were sad to leave this house and go home, it is better equipped than my own home! A lovely house which we would definatley return to if we stayed in Redondo again, would highly recommend.
Owner response:Thank you Claire. We loved having you as guests.

Our family, with 3 children of 12, 11 and 8, stayed for one week in July 2011. Olivia and Dave were very nice and helpful. The house is really pretty and big enough. The garden is beautiful and we liked to grill in the evening after a day on the beach or visiting the city. We loved Hermosa Beach (5' by car). Also great for running in the morning. I hope we'll come again and I really recommend it.
Owner response:Thanks! It was a pleasure hosting your great family!

The two (later 3) of us spent only a week here but we found it first of all so convenient from the airport, just down the PCH, about 7 or 8 mi. Also our daughter and family were only about a half hr. away, Del Amo Shopping Centre, the beach area and access to the 405 Freeway were handy. The "cottage" was very well laid out and well furnished and comfortable. Now the backyard is something else again, just beautiful and our four grand children who visited us, loved it for it's spaciousness. We didn't get to use all the features of the yard, i.e., the Bar B Q or the outside heaters nor did we get down to the sandy beach as we seemed to be so busy at other things what with the family, etc., but we can look forward to those things next time. Olivia and David obviously take great pride in the way they present their "cottage" and make it very welcoming. We look forward to staying there again if available. PS: A must visit would be to Eat At Joes, as the owners suggest and is within walking distance !
Owner response:Thank you, David. It was a pleasure having you and your wife as guests. Olivia

Excellent description and pictures of this property. Don't hesitate. The cottage is immaculate, comfortable and cozy. Olivia and Dave are friendly, helpful and attentive. They have thought of everything you would need during your stay. We especially loved the back gardens and patio area, so relaxing. A great place to stay. Highly recommend.
Owner response:Thank you, Joan. Come back! Olivia

My husband and l have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at this vacation rental property. Casetta di Santi is a beautifully furnished home with new kitchen and laundry room and does indeed live upto its listing description-The garden was a real feature, providing a perfect sheltered and peaceful environment in which to relax both in the daytime and evenings- as it was well lit for evening meals outside. The owners were very helpful in providing for all our needs and for information on the area. Convenient and within walking distance to Redondo Beach, PCH, Wholefoods, Starbucks and Redondo Farmers Market on Thursday mornings-our stay passed by too quickly.
Owner response:Thank you, Helen and Pete! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Olivia

We stayed at the cottage in August 2010, and loved it! It was exactly as pictured. We loved the back patio for drinks and dinners. Short drive to the beach for boogie boarding, and long walks. One bathroon has an outside entrance which is great for after the beach. Lots of terrific restaurants nearby, and we even made it to a Dodger game. Already booked for 2011!
Owner response:Thank you, Kathy and Rich. We're looking forward to seeing you again in August. Olivia

We've been there for 2 weeks in July/August 2010 and we had a great time there. It's not far from downtown and the beaches are very close (3 minutes by car) , but far away from hectic and stressful. The cottage is lovely and charming equipped. The owners (living across the street) are very helpful and friendly. If we come back to USA to California we're sure to stay of course again in this cozy cottage. Thank you again for everything and sorry for the mistakes, but my English is not really the best (we come from Germany).
Owner response:Thank you, Connie.

My husband, 2.5-year-old and 1-year-old stayed here and really enjoyed it. The listing description was quite accurate--everything was as nice or nicer than the photos portrayed. The only thing I'd mention is that the pull-out sofa wasn't something you'd want to sleep on every night, but we didn't REALLY need to use it, so it was no big deal for us. The garden/yard was beautiful, and the place is so nicely decorated, updated and maintained. We were quite pleasantly surprised when we arrived. It's an easy walk to the ocean and stores, and there are a lot of fun, casual places to eat nearby (we only went to the casual ones because of our little ones--check out Eat at Joe's and the awesome donut place by Albertsons!). I'd highly recommend this property.
Owner response:Thank you, Reverie. And thanks for the feedback about the convertible sofa. We traded it for a better one that should provide a good night's sleep. Olivia

My family of 4 had a great time at this cottage. We spent over 1 month here and truly enjoyed the beach cities. It was walking distance to the beach, the pier, parks, shops and restaurants. The owners were fantastic - very hospitable and attentive to our needs. The property was very kid friendly. We had a 2 and 4 yr old who loved the large backyard and nearby park. We highly recommend this home.
Owner response:Thanks, Jennifer. Olivia

I really recommend this house to anyone who seeks a vacationhouse near the beach, restaurants, shopping, good location for visiting Sea World, Disney Land and other areas in LA. The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet. The house is beautiful with small things that really make you feel at home. The owners Olivia and Dave do their outmost before and during your visit to see that you have the best stay in your home away from home. I do not have anything negative to say either about the house or the neighbourhood. As our 16 year old daughter said "I want to move here" She loved it in California and the beach that is very close to the house. If we ever have the possibility to come back to LA we would definitely rent from Olivia and Dave again.
Owner response:Thank you, Lena. We enjoyed your whole family. Olivia

My friends and I shared your home for 2 weeks this past June and the house perfectly met our needs. It had lots of places for studying, thoughtfully equipped, and it was even prettier than the pictures. It was also very clean. This was my first rental house experience and I would definitely rent this again. Everything worked beautifully and the neighborhood is really neat with Eucaliptus trees and a flock of parrots. I walked to Eat at Joes multiple mornings, a nice local diner about 5 blocks away. The front porch of the house was a favorite spot of mine to study. My only concern with the house was a pilly sheet I discovered on the wrought iron bed. I brought my own sheets so that solved that but later discovered Olivia thoughtfully has extra sheets in the closet. True, the water pressure for showers wasn't great but when I stopped at some local hotels to check out rooms for a shorter visit next year of 3-4 days, THEIR water pressure wasn't anything great and they were more expensive than Olivia's charming home. In summary, we loved our stay at Olivia and Dave's home! It went beyond my expectations and would definitely be a must-stay for future guests! It should be noted that I can be a very fussy traveler but I had little trouble adjusting to this beautiful home!
