We rented the cabin for my Father's 80th birthday and we had such a wonderful time! The cabin was beautiful and the decor was so cute, I got some great ideas for our own home! The listing was very accurate. I loved the deck view of the lake and the close access of the dock. My father's room (master bedroom) was beautiful and also has a lake view. The living room has a wonderful gas fireplace and comfy sofas. The downstairs was nice and has easy access to the dock area. The cabin was very clean and cozy! It snowed while we were there and both the lake and forest view was beautiful. The cabin is also very close to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. We took a scenic drive and saw at least 3 herds of elk in the meadows. The town of Grand Lake is also nearby. It is a quaint little town with plenty of shops and restaurants. My Father really enjoyed his 80th birthday here and we feel liucky to have found out about this area. We plan on returning in the summer.!

Amazing Cabin On Private Lake

Did we ever make a great choice when picking this cabin! The pictures don’t even begin to show how great it is – clean, very spacious with a very warm & inviting feel from the moment we arrived. It has all the amenities you need to cook or grill your own meals and we really took advantage of the amazing view by eating outside on the deck every chance we could. Hanging out in the hammock or out on the dock reading was great because the lake is so quiet and peaceful. Downtown Grand Lake is so close and there is so much to do. We enjoyed visiting many of the shops, walking around the town and even had a few wonderful meals right downtown (and of course a stop at Polly’s Sweet Shop). Boating and tubing on Shadow Mountain Lake was fun too. Of course the highlight of our trip was seeing not one, not two but three separate moose sightings, right from the deck of the cabin! We took the canoe out around Columbine Lake to get a better view of all that was around us. When it was time to settle in for the night, we got cozy on the couch and watched movies, then snuggled up in our beds which were comfy and had lots of extra blankets to keep us warm. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

My husband and I rented this beautiful, peaceful cabin with some friends last summer. It is an extreamly well maintained, clean, and well stocked cabin. The view from the back porch are unbelieveable. We were lucky enough while there to see a huge moose swimming in Columbine Lake. The picutures on the website do not do it justice. My girlfriends and I are now talking about booking a long weekend later this summer. The town of Grand Lake is just a few miles away from the cabin, and has many restaurants and shops to explore. The hiking is some of finest we have been on. I would recommend this rental property to anyone.

What a great place to get away and relax. We fished and canoed in the lake 20 feet behind the house. The golf course was less that 1/2 mile away. Had a great time!!

We had the most fabulous July 4th celebration ever. Spent the morning at the golf course, hike to Adams Falls in the pm and fishing and cocktails on the shore of the most beautiful and peaceful lake. The cabin itself is spectular, well equipped and perfectly located. I believe this is a little piece of heaven here on earth!
