After a long drive to spend Thanksgiving with relatives staying at another place on Fripp what a welcome respite to arrive at this lovely cottage. My husband and I dearly enjoyed everything about this place and the island. And being an artist, I felt the owner's taste in art was just perfect. Like being at home, but better. The owner was very helpful and I hope we can return to this villa one day.

Just got back from a weekend in this cottage. The cottage directly faces the ocean where dolphin played every evening. The 2nd floor porch was wonderful for watching the dolphins. The unit has very nice appliances and cabinets. It was exactly as described. We went during the Hurricaine Irene weekend. The days before our trip, we were unsure if we should go. The owner was very flexible and understanding and she was willing to work with us to insure we had a great weekend. We did decide to go and had a grea time. The island is great. Most people get around on golf carts which can be rented on the island. My only complaint is I would prefer more restaurant options, there are only 2 dinner options. But if you don't mind cooking on vacation, this is the perfect vacation spot. There are deer everywhere, dolphins every day, and we even saw an alligator once. I would defnitely recomment this cottage and Fripp Island. We will be back.

Wonderful Escape for two!

This cottage was really charming and well appointed (pictures are accurate, home was clean, tasteful/modern beach decor). Size of cottage was great for two, ocean views (and sunrise) were beautiful. Quiet area, relaxing atmosphere. Small pool just outside. Short ride to beach (with sand rather than rocks). The cottage was everything we expected and then some! Owner was helpful and organized. Thank you for letting us stay in your home--it was really hard to leave!

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great Accomodations and View

Really enjoyed our get away on Fripp Island. The cottage was perfect for two. Deer came to visit within 5 minutes of our arrival. Watched the dolphins from the balcony everyday. Very quiet island - great for a low key and super relaxing get away. Master bath is fabulous. Large (almost half of the upstairs), double sinks and a really big shower with dual heads. Definitely recommend the amenity cards as they are required to do just about anything outside of the cottage. Stop at the Publix on the way to the island in order to take advantage of full kitchen. Owner was very reliable and helpful. Would definitely suggest limiting to 2 adults as the second bed is a pullout two steps from the kitchen and deck. Only suggested improvements - outdoor jacuzzi was very dirty (lots of accumulated grime and bird poop) and bed is probably ready to be replaced. Bed was not uncomfortable, but support is missing and the box springs squeaked every time you moved.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

What a nice winter time escape. The cottage was beautiful and the views awesome. The listing description was accurate, the cottage was clean, and the island was so quiet. The kids loved exploring the rocks, finding crabs, and riding thier bikes. I definately look forward to visiting again soon.

This vacation cottage is perfect! Felt like you were at home!! Awesome location - could watch the dolphins playing - one night even watched the deer in the back yard. If you visit Fripp Island - don't forget to check out the Jet Ski tours at the Marina! Mary Beth was awesome!!

My best friend and I spent a wonderful weekend in August 2010 at this property and the amenities were great. If you are looking for just some quite time and just plain ole' relaxation, this is the place for you. Thank you Mary Beth. We'll do it again next year.

We had a wonderful stay at this property on Fripp Island. The view is spectacular and the weather was wonderful the entire time. We were impressed with the large bathroom and jacuzzi on the second floor. I've stayed at numerous places on Fripp over the years and this is definately one of my favorites! Thank you!

Oceanfront Charleston Cottage

The cottage was everything the listing described and more. It is very well maintained. The owner was very helpful, always friendly and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this property. The view of the ocean from this location was the most beautiful I have seen.

WOW!!! What a wonderful cottage and trip we had! The cottage is super nice, we wanted to bring it back with us. The views are amazing from the balcony! Quite a comfortable stay, we can't wait to take our next trip down!!
