Located near downtown, 3 minutes from the University of Florence, 5 minutes from the airport, and only 5 minutes from the autostrada. This comfortable Florence apartment is located on the sixth floor of a building with an elevator. Restaurants, shops and supermarkets are conveniently close in this neighborhood. The apartment is completely remodeled and is extremely spacious, measuring 85 square meters in total, or over 900 square feet. Our availability calendar is kept up to date daily.
There are two balconies, one providing a beautiful view for drinking a glass of wine and watching the sunset over Florence. The apartment is located in a very quiet residential area, providing quiet evenings after long days of site-seeing. Parking is also available.
The apartment features electric air conditioning and heating, a rare find in Florence, and a washing machine and dishwasher. The bathroom is large with a full size tub and shower. The kitchen has a gas range and is fully equipped with pots, pans, dinnerware, flatware and glassware. Household products, including clothes washing detergent, are all provided. The apartment also has a 32" television, DVD, VCR, stereo, DSL, and free unlimited long-distance to land-lines in the following countries: United States, Canada, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Holland, and Switzerland.
The spacious master bedroom, with its marble flooring, has high ceilings and a comfortable California king bed. A newly covered and very comfortable sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping space for two additional adults. The living room also has solid marble flooring.
The apartment is conveniently located near the University of Florence, a perfect location for visiting students and families. It is also perfectly situated near the Autostrada, making it a convenient home-base for taking day trips throughout Tuscany and near regions. Taxi service is available in less than 5 minutes or there are 3 bus stops next to the building that will take you downtown in 10 minutes.
I am Italian and have lived in Florence or near Florence for 20 years and have been in the restaurant and tourist industry for 20 years. I live in the U.S. now, but this is my home when I am in Italy. I manage this property personally, so you can be assured that you will reach me or my wife when you call for your reservations.

- Very convenient location with easy access to interstate and trains for touring Tuscany. Wine touring, historical monuments. Most people in Florence use public buses for transportation. This apartment has 3 buses that stop outside the apartment, so there is a bus about every 5 minutes. Very convenient for sight-seeing.

Why the Owner Chose Florence
I purchase this home as my home in 2001. It was not originally purchased as a vacation home, so the location was specifically selected because of the nice quiet neighborhood.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
While we are in Florence an at the apartment, we enjoy the quiet area. The area has grocery and other shopping very near and the city bus stop is just next to the apartment building, making it very easy for us to get around all of Florence.
3 bus lines stop here, so there is a bus coming by about every 5 minutes. Buses 29, 30, and 35 go directly to the main train station in 7 to 10 minutes.

I met my (now) wife while she was vacationing in Florence in 2002 and moved to the U.S. after our marriage in 2006. We now live in Texas, and am a personal chef. We keep the apartment as a second home for our family visits to Italy.

We really enjoyed staying in your Italian Apartment. The apartment was exactly as described and we were not disappointed. Due to the high temperatures, the air conditioning was a god send. Your suggestions to use bus numbers, 22, 29 and 30 was perfect and it was so convenient even though we were a distance from the center of town. Connecting with the trains was easy and fun. Since we were there for a month, the ability to just relax after a day of touring was wonderful. The ability to call back to the states was a real plus to the apartment. As was the wireless internet. The telephone gave us the ability to keep in touch with family and friends and the internet gave us the ability to actually view the news from the states. There were so many things in the apartment that would not have been available at other locations.

We stayed at the apartment in May 09, and it was just as described: spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The internet access is very handy. Skype is a supplement to the provided phone. Googlemaps includes directions on the bus, giving times and choices. Most of the buses are just outside the apartment. In addition if you have an unlocked gsm mobile phone, there is a TIM store around the corner. It is very reasonable to buy a simcard. The Essalunga supermarket is a short bus ride away. It has everything. You will appreciate the apartment, and you will love Florence.
