Less than a mile from the entrance of Squaw Valley, and only 2 miles to the ski resort! You'll be struck by the beauty as you drive across the private bridge spanning the gentle flowing Truckee river, arriving at a picturesque setting high on the bank of the Truckee River.
This cozy and comfortable mountain home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, hardwood floors and an open floor plan in the living and dining areas, a wood burning stove in the living room and a family room with a separate fireplace. The adjoining modern kitchen has granite counter tops, a gas range and oven, and a granite kitchen table that seats 10.
The master suite has two large bay windows offering tranquil views of the passing Truckee river with a romantic gas stove. There are sky lights in the bathroom that let in natural light.
The additional bedrooms share a master bathroom. Bedroom to the right has a bunk bed with a double and twin on top and the bedroom to the left has a queen. Both rooms have new beds and bedding.

We had a fabulous time at this house. My daughters and I were pleasantly surprised, walking through the kitchen door, and having the spaciousness, and fantastic views in front of us!! We enjoyed the deck, and sound of the river. The house was clean, bright and comfortable. We were able to relax and enjoy the hot tub, and yet go to Truckee and have a blast, shopping and eating.The owners were great, responding to questions in a timely manner. I would recommend this rental to everyone!!!!!

My family and I enjoyed our time here immensely! Close enough to stores, restaurants and activities to make an unplanned run, but far enough away not to have river rafters coming by in droves. The house is better equipped than our own, and the well-stocked kitchen includes most of one's basic needs and more. My husband and daughter caught several fish in the river, which were delicious! Our dog enjoyed it, too, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a fully fenced yard in the back of the house, which made it easy first thing in the morning and last thing at night, when we might not have felt like going outside with her! My only criticisms might be the typos and clunky wording in the contracts which led us to wonder if anyone had looked at them before sending them out, and thus, the care to which the property and renters were being attended, and the fact that the photos on this site make the place look much more spacious than it is. It is plenty large enough for us, and is beautifully decorated and comfortable, however it was a bit surprising when we first walked in, after seeing the photos that have been taken with furniture placed to enhance the impression of spaciousness, and several items having been changed out since the photos were taken. We had to guess at a few things that we were not informed about, such as the bear box for garbage and what the expectations were regarding cleanup at checkout, and how to operate the various electronics in the house--some of which we never did figure out. But though the cabin lacked clear instructions and communications from the renter, it excelled in providing us with several days of being able to relax, enjoy each others company, and take in the wonderful smells and sights of the Lake Tahoe area. We will definitely consider another stay at this property in the future and will cherish the memories we made during our time there.
