This villa is designed so visitors can have their own "space". Not just a bedroom door to close for privacy but two actual efficiency apartments in addition to the main house; a real retreat for an afternoon nap or an early morning cup of coffee.

This house is described as four bedrooms but two of the “bedrooms” are separate apartments (only used in conjunction with the main house to provide additional privacy).
However at no time are these apartments used or rented separately from the main house. You will not share this house with other guests. Each efficiency apartment could be entered from a private walkway from the front entrance of the main house.
All beds have down pillows and comforters. Good natured maid/cook with a wonderful disposition loves to cook and will gladly teach you her Mexican recipes. Relax on the rooftop garden and marvel at the panoramic views and lovely sunsets while sipping a margarita. This is paradise! Villa Feliz is located in a very safe neighborhood; Enjoy concerts, lectures, plays, readings, dance performances and art openings held on a regular basis. The most popular restaurants, tennis, golf, gym, galleries and the Instituto Allende are within a short walk from Villa Feliz (no hills to climb).
San Miguel sits at 6300 feet providing warm sunny days and cool nights.
Villa Feliz sleeps 2 to 11 comfortably and rates depend on the time of the year and/or the number of persons - there is also a loft that sleeps four. Well behaved children are welcome.
Both Malena and Manuel are anxious for you to be comfortable and help you in any way they can. If requested Manuel, who speaks English, will take you to the super market where he can assist you with your original shopping trip.
Malena the cook/maid has the ability to "spoil" guests and she really pleases anyone who walks through the front door. She has a wonderful disposition and always a smile and helpful nature.

Villa Feliz is exactly as described and pictured! Malena and Jose were very accommodating and welcomed us with open arms (and chicken soup!) We went to SMA for a girls get away and we got just that! The Villa was immaculate and in a centrally located area. We felt very safe during our stay and found the locals to be very helpful. We saw and recommend the light show at the church in town on Friday nights and we had a day of beauty and pampering at the Shanti Spa. Many thanks to the owner, Cory! She provided us with all the resources needed to make our stay a memorable one. Cory called to make sure we arrived safe and then again upon our departure to make sure our stay was as expected. In would recommend Villa Feliz to travelers looking for superior accommodations!

We had a great time in SMA. Four senior ladies enjoyed Villa Feliz so much. What a wonderful retreat after a busy day enjoying all the activities in town. The villa is beautiful and looks just like the pictures on VRBO. We especially enjoyed the rooftop deck and the courtyard garden for relaxing, reading, visiting and laughing surrounded by all the gorgeous plantings. Jose and Malena were super. So pleasant and helpful and Malena really is an excellent cook. Her chicken enchiladas and guacamole are to die for. Thank you, Cory for all the helpful information. Marcello picked us up at the airport and came back for us a week later right on time for our flight home. The Home and Garden tour you recommended was outstanding and we met lots of friendly people there. We might have wanted to be a little closer to the Jardin, but with taxis everywhere costing only $2.00 it was fine. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home.

Five of us ladies just got back from Villa Feliz. For 4 of us, this was our first time and we were delighted with our rental choice. It is a lovely home and Malena (cook and maid) and Jose (house handyman) answer questions, help solve problems and make your time there more comfortable. The distance from town makes for quiet sleeping at night and cabs into town are cheap if you don't feel like walking but the walk is not bad either. You need to walk after all the great food! We all felt as though we had enough space but especially enjoyed gathering at the big table in our courtyard for breakfast, dinner or at night just to chat. The owner is very accomplished at the rental process and makes it easy. We highly recommend this gracious home.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I stayed at Villa Feliz for 10 days in May 2010. The villa is as lovely as the VRBO pictures, well maintained and an easy walk to the Jardin, shopping, restaurants, etc. While Melana is a fabulous cook. Please ask her to make her salsa verde, it is to die for! Cory (the owner) was very informative and gave us a detailed instruction sheet on reliable drivers, etc.

What a nice surprise when we walked through the front door; lovely and peaceful atmosphere. When this owner said "private and quiet" that is what we were looking for and that is what we found at this wonderful vacation home. It was so comfortable and furnished beautifully. Hi Cory, We have all made it home safe and sound. Sorry we didn't get to meet you in person. We all fell in love with SMA and I will seriously start looking for a property to purchase that fits my needs. Your house was lovely and allowed my friends their privacy while still being together. I'm not sure weather I ever told you that I am a travel agent and will probably be sending many clients to that area and I'll be sure to suggest your home to them. Dear cory: Everything is great here! Maria Elena is a peach; she couldn't be nicer or more hard working. I am really crazy about her. Also I love the location here; I knew I'd love the house but the neighborhood is really nice and I feel safer here at night on the street than in el Centro San Miguel because there are always people out walking around. So, all is well and we are having a great time. My house guests arrive tomorrow. A great feature about your house is the long distance phone with "free" calls to and from the states. George has been able to stay in touch daily with his stock broker and this is really important to him. We have our laptop all hooked up and it is working just fine. I'll keep you posted. Hi Cory,What a perfect vacation! Our first experience at a house rental as we have always stayed at Bed and Breakfasts and fine hotels but your home was perfect for the six of us. Everything you described about the house turned out to be exact. It was more than we expected and filled our vacation experience as each couple had privacy and yet we could be together in the charming spots you have created at Villa Feliz. Melena turned out some wonderful meals for us both breakfast and lunch or dinner when requested. We had friends staying in town and they joined us for a nice cocktail party which Melena handled beautifully. She is well taught and very anxious to please. Having “free” phone service to the states was wonderful as a couple of us needed to contact our office daily..what a helpful and thoughtful plus that was. We did not make any local cell calls on your local phone so I believe you will be able to refund our full deposit when you have the Telmex bill.We loved the location! It was so much nicer than staying in the noise and craziness of downtown where our friends stayed. (they told us we were in the nicest house they had seen even after the House & Garden Tour on Sunday). We all agreed that we want to try a summer vacation next year and hope you will book us for two weeks.Thanks Cory for a delightful and wonderful experience. How lucky we were to choose your very comfortable and truly charming house on the internet.
