My girlfriends and I came to Boston for a sight seeing vacation. Barbara was amazingly helpful with giving information about the location of the condo and where things were located in Boston. While in Boston we visited the Freedom Trail, Fenway Park, Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, the aquarium, the Prudential Center, and many restaurants throughout Boston. We were able to walk or take the T to all of those places. The only time we took a taxi the whole time we were in Boston was to and from the airport. The location was amazing and the building was clean and quiet. We never had trouble sleeping at night due to noise and the building was always very clean. The condo itself was definitely big enough for the three of us. We are three woman that went on a trip together and we never felt like we were "bumping" into each other. All of the pictures on this website of this condo are completely accurate except for the picture with the fouton in it. The fouton has been replaced by a couch that was incredibly comfortable and pulls out into a full size bed. Our stay in Boston was wonderful thanks to Barbara and her condo. I would recommend this condo to just about anyone that wants to visit Boston and do all of the sight seeing.

The best location bar none. Everything about this condo is wonderful. My mom and I arrived on Thursday and we left Sunday and were able to experience much of what Boston has to offer because we stayed at this wonderful condo in the Back Bay. It was not only beautiful, but so easy to get around. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty and history of this great city. Thanks Barbara for your help in planning and making our trip so memorable.

This was my second stay in this terrific property. Barbara and Derek are wonderful and as is evidenced in previous reviews, are keen that their tenants have a thoroughly enjoyable stay; indeed they are a pleasure to work with. The apartment itself is modern in its furnishings - the current pictures on this site do not display the more recent upgrades in furniture that are currently in the residence - it is very nicely appointed. The property is clean and one feels very safe and at home. The location is excellent and places you at the threshold of the best of what Boston has to offer - particularly by way of walking. If you are not into walking, the T stop [Green line] is around the corner. This is a terrific one-bedroom property that will serve a perfect home away from home. I recommend it highly and would welcome the opportunity to visit again.

Great location --- Boston U..., T station, Purdential center. Pictures of the property are correct. Super clean - full kitchen - walk to Trader Joes'. You can take the T to and from the airport exit " convention center!!!! Lots' of travel books, maps in the condo.. TV and DRV for the kids. We will be back with our dancer next summer. From Steve: Everything was great-we are delayed at the airport. Left early today and went to Plymouth Plantation. I knew the location of your place was good, but I didn’t realize how good. Great access to T, jogging, Fenway, Comm Ave, Mall, and the Public Gardens. Enjoy the beer we left behind.

I highly recommend this place to stay. Barbara and Derek were extremely helpful and prompt in their responses. The place is very clean and has everything a person needs for their stay! We had treats, brochures, maps and even weather updates! I can't show my appreciation enough to Barbara and Derek. You went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were provided with nearby activities, restaurants, and places to visit. It was fantastic! We were worried about getting the keys in time and payments, but it all worked without a glitch!

My husband and I stayed in this very lovely apartment for three days during February, 2010. The location cannot be better. The accommodations are just as pictured. The finishing touches left by Barbara and Derek, such as coffee and snacks, were very thoughtful. We have recommended the apt to friends and will return again. It is a great find!

Barbara...we loved Boston and renting your condo! Thank you for the treats...I think the chips were gone before we went to bed the first night. The location was exceptional! We took the Fenway tour, walked the entire Freedom Trail and pigged out at Quincey's Market. What a treat for all of us. Sandy P.S. We just got home and the check was waiting for us;)

Hi Barbara! We are about to head out the door of 386 Commonwealth!! Thank you so much for the use of the lovely condo! It was perfect for our needs this trip. We felt right at home. It turns out, that upon reflection, we decided that our family needed a little more room so we are not staying with Shuie. Nonetheless, you were gracious, If in the area again, my husband and I will consider contacting you & Shuie again for lodging. Shuie was also wonderful.

We had a lovely stay at Barbara and Derek's place. Like others, we appreciated Barbara's quick responses to our questions. The apartemtn was incredibly well situated. We were a 5 minute walk away fromt eh Trader Joe's on Newberry, enjoyed the walk into the Boston Commons and to the Museum of Fine Arts. We took advantage of the metro being a couple of blocks away. The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful condo! The apartment was perfect for what we needed and was definitely better than staying in a hotel! Everything was very neat and clean and the snacks and flowers were so sweet! The location was perfect too! Easy to get to Fenway, shopping, restaurants and the Charles River. Discovering Boston really for the first time, I stayed in the condo for just under two weeks. The location is wonderful, the condo is nicely furnished and Derek and Barbara could not have been more helpful; they were extremely prompt and thorough in answering questions I had about the condo, the immediate area or Boston in general - Thank You!!! Barbara, Thank you. The condo was wonderful, and we had a great time in Boston. The beverages and snacks were a nice surprise when we arrived from the airport. We rented bikes for Friday and Saturday at Back Bay Bicycles (right at the corner of Commonwealth and Mass), and rode all over the city for two days. Attached is a picture of Jane and I taking A break in the Union Oyster during our bike tour of the Freedom Trail. Thanks for making our stay in Boston such a pleasure! We hope to return.

Thank you Barbara - My daughter and I enjoyed our stay and the apartment worked out very nicely. It was clean and cozy - thank you for the treats and drinks. It was very easy to find and the walk to the convention center and Marriott was good for us. My daughter ran down to the Commons and came back via the River.
