Newly built and designed by internationally well known Czech/American glass artist, 400 m2 modern fully equipped lakefront house in the beauty of 10.000 m2 landscaped garden and “One Hundred Years of Solitude”.

Peace and quietness in comfort with more than 500 species of flowers and trees.

We want to offer our guests some independence and let them choose where they will eat each day.
A large, gourmet-equipped kitchen with full-size refrigerator, five burner gas stove with oven, dishwasher, coffeemaker, vast collection of pots, pans and cooking utensils allows you to enjoy your own home cooked meals with herbs and vegetables from our organic garden.
And of course, there’s a blender for those frosty tropical drinks!
Our drinking Lab tested water is pure and healthy.

If guests REQUIRE, they will find the kitchen fully stocked with foods for preparing breakfast (tea, coffee, milk, bread, organic jam, vegetable, herbs produced on our organic garden, eggs, salt, sugar and oil). Guests must restock products while they are here, or simply pay for it.

There are couple shops in the village where basic foods can be purchased (feel free to bring your own food if you have any alimentary restrictions or special needs), and there are several small restaurants in San Marcos where you can try the local or international cooking.
For the daily shopping, our guests can take advantage of 30 min. boat rides to the village of Panajachel or San Pedro.

In the morning and evening, guests may dine at the house where Dita prepares tasty breakfast and dinners of homemade international gourmet cuisine, using the organic products grown on the garden for vegetarians, or freshly delivered organic meet or fish.
Blueberry pie with cappuccino after you siesta time or homemade rye bread with humus or grilled eggplant as a starter before your dinner?
A selection of international wines is also available.

You can enjoy your meal in the dining which opens onto the lake or barbeque in the patio with fountain and watch hummingbirds grab a sip or two at each inviting blossom.
Have a glass of wine in the pergola with spectacular
sunset or a view of active volcano in Antigua.

Or just sit on the pier and enjoy seeing the sky light up with the light of distant electrical storms as they pass by ……or jump in the lake from wood-fired sauna.
On top of the roof you can enjoy the different breath taking lake views, volcanoes and the stars at the night.

You can be yourself or retired early while others are still operating the blender, rating one of the many recipes in kitchen or painting/writing in our new 80m2 art studio located in the garden above the house, available only upon previous arrangement.

The house has 3 large bedrooms with high ceilings and hammocks. The sleep arrangement offer two Queen-sized and one King-sized bed with 100% cotton bed linens.
Bath and beach towels and toiletries are provided.

The crystal clear water with local fishermen out in their small boats is ideal for swimming all year around.

The house is in short walking distance to everything San Marcos has to offer.
San Marcos is one of the bright colored indigenous villages on the lake, when you can enjoy yoga, massage, spanish class,restaurants, music, local market, or just walk on surrounding landscape of blue sky, majestic volcanoes and feel the taste of authentic culture of the Mayan people.

  • This will be one of the most unforgettable trips we have ever made. Not only did we experience the magic and splendor Lake Atitlan has to offer, but the whole experience was completed with our stay at this magnificent property. Tranquility in luxury comes to mind. We enjoyed everything the house has to offer, from its gourmet kitchen to its minimalist and beautifully done interiors, but also were in constant awe of the ever changing spectacular views from every room. Every morning we would step right out our front door facing the stunning view of the volcanoes and do yoga, taking in the crisp and fresh air in the tranquility of the verdant grounds. We are already making plans for our next trip and will definitely stay here again. This place is magical!

  • For the last 15 years, we have rented vacation homes around the world and many have turned out to be real finds. Until recently, there were a number that were tied for “most beautiful.” But that was before we stayed at Dita and Michael’s “Casa Miguel.” This stunning contemporary home has large, light-filled rooms with soaring ceilings and white walls -- perfect for displaying their folk art and other treasured pieces. The views from each room, including the upstairs bathroom, are spectacular. Casa Miguel’s setting on the edge of Lake Atitlan, across from three volcanoes, is unmatched, and the grounds are pure pleasure with landscaped tiers rising up the hill to the road. We spent our days reading, gazing at the views, exploring the nearby towns and markets, swimming in the lake -- with some wine drinking and a sauna or two thrown in (Thank you, Max). We have only one reservation in strongly recommending this house -- the fear that it will be booked when we want to return.

  • My husband, daughter and I stayed in this house last summer and it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The house is fully modernized and equipped with anything you'll need. It has spectacular views of the lake from all windows, a beautiful garden and private swimming area. It's a magical place that you'll never forget.
