St. George's is a delightful olde-worlde town established soon after Bermuda was first inhabited in 1609 by marooned British sailors. It is a World Heritage site and is characterised by narrow winding streets, old cottages and unique architecture. However, modern facilites are present including fast ferry transport to Dockyard in the west end or a 40 minute ride to Hamilton, the busy capital of Bermuda. Regular bus service is available on the main street and taxis or mopeds are alternative ways to explore the delights of St. George's and all that Bermuda has to offer.
