We stayed during Memorial Day weekend, and had a great time. The cabin is comfortable, clean, and slept four adults and two kids with room to spare. The views are beautiful. We had a nice time tramping around the woods and road, as well as driving to Helton Creek Falls and Lake Nottley. Even on a popular holiday weekend, it was incredibly quiet, and no one was around. This was also VERY reasonably priced for such nice accommodations.

The cabin is simply beautiful. The views from the decks were amazing.... We had such a wonderful relaxing vacation! The amenities made it feel like a home away from home. We hope to go back sometime soon. I'd recommend this cabin to all of my family and friends.
Owner response:Thanks - It's really nice to have people stay who really appreciate the cabin - hope you had fun hiking

Has a great time, bordering on a national park...within driving distance to shopping and sights. We hiked Brasstown Bald, Blood Mountain, Tallulah Falls and more. Enjoyed lovely wines from the local vineyard.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin very much. The amenities made our stay feel as if we were at home... Great location - about 5 miles from Young Harris College campus one direction and 5 miles from Lake Nottley in the other direction . The website photos don't do it justice, but it is everything the website promises and more. Be prepared for a very steep incline to get to the top of the mountain. Some cars might not be up to the challenge... But once you get there, and get settled in - you may never want to leave!

Stephen, we are so looking forward to returning to your cabin this April 2011 for our 3rd time. Everything is always so neat and clean. The views are beautiful and the piece and quiet are great. Young Harris is a nice little town and the drive to Hiawassee for shopping is scenic. Barb and Debbie, The sisters from Michigan

My family had a great time staying at the cabin. The kids played in the woods and my husband and I relaxed on the decks with the breathtaking views. There was so many things to see and do. We went tubing, antiquing, visited amazing waterfalls and just had a blast. The cabin is very clean and well maintained and the owners are great. I would recommend this cabin to all of my family and friends.

The directions were great. The location is wonderful if you like the mountains and sightseeing. You could also enjoy just being in the mountains and read a good book on the decks. The view is wonderful. The cabin location is so near to great little shopping excursions. Also some really good food can be found very near. We just loved everything about the cabin.

Great price when we booked, very comfortable for 4 adults without us being on top of each other. Not used to satellite tv but easy enough to figure out + there are instructions. Liked the notecards placed in areas to help us remember things. Definately woodsy so lots of biting bugs, thankfully there was household bug spray provided but highly suggest bring DEET or your preferred bug repellant for outside unless its winter. We loved the views from the decks & the swing. Lots of extras around the cabin we didn't expect, like soaps, laundry stuff, food supplies, condiments, etc... Next time packing and groceries will be lighter. We went away mainly for quiet rest & this place was great. Don't forget to turn the hot water on when you arrive, otherwise its cold showers. Cabin is high up & the drive is steep but we had a 4WD so no problem. There was no traffic except the couple of neighbors which were quiet when driving by. We hope development doesn't take over. The downstairs got a little cooler at night then upstairs (obviously heat rises) but there were xtra blankets for downstairs if needed. Owner was easy to get a hold of & responded promptly. There was information around for local attractions. Robyns Nest was a cute shop close by to look for cute, odd things & there was more packed inside then it looked like it would hold on the outside.

We rented the cabin in May and the view was fantastic. The cabin was neat and clean. It really has a lot of living space. The 9 acres of privacy was a bonus. We enjoyed ourselves and are planning a return on October.
Owner response:Thanks Matt and Sarah - Glad you enjoyed your stay. We'll see you in October.

The trip was quite enjoyable. The view was very nice, however there were bugs in the house that all guests should be prepared to contend with. Another point I should make, is I believe it was easy to be mislead in what was expected from the overall pack up process. I recommend that all guests be very careful in their chores, for although we were meticulous in our cleaning of the cabin and care for details, we were unable to receive our deposit back over a small issue. Overall review: The view and location were better than expected, but dealing with the renter ended up being far less to be desired.
Owner response:I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. Lady bugs are part of a healthy forest and we choose to live with them in the Spring and not use pesticides which may effect other things. I'm sorry that someone tuned off the water supply to the cabin when you left. However, our maid made two trips out and couldn't finish cleaning. We had a plumber go out twice. Those extra costs prevented me from returning your secuity deposit.

It is really spiritual to sit on these decks and view four layers of mountains across smokey blue valleys. And then to cross the drive and see even more in a quick walk into a national forest. Nightfall changes the scenery for yet another fulfilling breath. You are held by wonderful mountain atmosphere.

We stayed during Christmas 2007, and had a great time. This is a great place to go if you are looking to get away from every day stress and want peace and quiet. The view is fantastic from the Decks. Very clean and well taken care of. The only problem we had was with the Dryer taking to long to dry clothing. I would highly recommend this Cabin and have to my family and friends.

The name of this cabin fits it perfectly! You really are above the clouds! The views from all 3 decks are breathtaking and surrounded by mountains, the view changes constantly with the cloud movement and light. its very dramatic. its very well furnished and comfortable. We visit there regularly to reconnect with nature and ourselves and hope to keep continue visiting there. Highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an escape from the city. It really is a perfect escape!
