This is an exceptional place at a great value. We humbly believe that it's the best deal in Chicago. We have a lot of happy guests that agree. Please see the links to our guestbook with their comments.
You will be comfortable and at home here. We are close to Downtown (15 minute drive/cab ride or 3 train stops), McCormick Place (10 minute drive/cab ride or 1 train stop), and all of the sights of Chicago. It's a short walk to our great public transportation system.
We also have a second unit available in the same building. If you have a larger group or have more guests that want to join you, we may be able to rent you both units.

We have an incredible Roof Deck City View where you can relax and enjoy our amazing city skyline and our luxurious 6 person Hot Tub.
Each apartment has a full kitchen and everything you will need to prepare meals. We also have a gas grill for outdoor cooking.
Be sure to take advantage of our my winter special when rates are the lowest of the year. If you are coming November through early March, ask me about those specials.
The apartment is also stocked with a supply of many of the basic necessities that you will need during your stay such as coffee, tea, paper products, laundry soap, etc.

Area Description
Our rentals are located just south of Downtown Chicago. This is one of the safest neighborhoods in Chicago. 5 of our last 7 Mayors spanning 80 years grew up in this neighborhood.
Our proximity to downtown have made our neighborhood a very hot residential destination for the last 10 years. One of my neighbors 1/2 block away recently built a $2.5 million mansion. Next door to that house is a huge million dollar plus house with an indoor swimming pool. New construction and completely renovated buildings like ours are the norm in our area.
In addition to the easy trip to downtown, McCormick Place, and the museum campus, you will be pleased to know that we are located on a very quiet and peaceful block. You won't hear loud city noises like ambulance sirens and car horns etc here like you will in many more crowded areas of the city. I used to live on the near north side and I sure don't miss that.
If you drive here or rent a car, we include one parking space in our garage. Sometimes we can offer both spaces if it is available. You will also find easy street parking, something else that is usually hard to find in Chicago. We also have a lot 20 feet away that our guests can use for when there is a ball game scheduled. We are very close to U.S. Cellular Field, the home of the Chicago White Sox. On game nights, parking can sometimes be a little tight.

- Garage: We include one parking space in our 2 car garage with your rental. If no one in our other apartment is using the 2nd parking space, you may use that space also.
- Covered Parking: It's not covered parking, but the price is right. Unlike most neighborhoods in this city, we have easy street parking in our neighborhood except just before and during ball games.
- Off Street Parking: We also have a parking lot 2 door away that we can use on an emergency backup basis. This comes in handy if you have a large van that can't fit in our garage or if you have guests or an extra vehicle. We are close to U.S. Cellular Field, home of the 2005 World Series Champion White Sox and parking can sometimes be tight for the 80 nights when they are in town.

- Queen Bed (3) : The 3 bedrooms all feature Queen beds. The third bedroom has a deluxe Serta queen innerspring Queen futon that can also be used as a couch.
- Murphy Bed: We also have an air bed in the apartment that can be set up in the main living space to create an extra bed in a pinch.

- No Pets Allowed
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: We do not rent to groups where there is no one under 25. We also do not rent to people intending to throw parties or to groups of students of any age regardless of whether they are chaperoned by an adult. The maximum capacity of the apartment is 6 people in 3 queen beds (and an air bed that can be set up for one extra sleeping space). We will sometimes make slight adjustments on these limits with prior approval.
- Smoking Not Allowed: Smoking is not allowed in the unit or on the enclosed back porch or anywhere inside the building. You are welcome to smoke outdoors in the backyard or upstairs on the deck. Ashtrays are provided for smoking.

- McCormick Place, I.I.T. University, and U.S. Cellular Field are very close. Downtown and the museums are also a short distance. This is a very safe and quiet neighborhood that is 15 minutes from downtown Chicago. Our Mayor Richard Daley grew up 2 blocks away.
Rate Details (In US Dollar)
$110 to $195 per night, $750-1,150 per week.
The rate depends on the season, length of stay, any special events or holidays
and other factors. Discounts are available on 5 day or longer rentals.
$75 cleaning fee per rental added to all rentals
Rentals require 50% at booking. Balance due 30 days before the rental
We are flexible on deposits for far off rentals. Winter Specials from Nov to March
Our lowest rates above are for our off season in January and February
All rentals require a refundable $200 security deposit

Why the Owner Chose Bridgeport
Ours is a safe neighborhood and very close to our city center. Our guests love that they can get anywhere in the city within 10-20 minutes. It's the best area to live in Chicago as far as I am concerned. Our daily newspaper, the Chicago Sun Times recently voted our neighborhood as the best place to trick or treat, citing the safety and the family atmosphere of our area. This is what they had to say.
The best neighborhood for trick-or-treating in Chicago? Bridgeport, says a real estate web site that says it factored in where a kid's likely to get "the most candy, with the least walking and minimal safety risks."

When I was in the UK, I was amazed and delighted at how fast the water boiled in the electric kettle. I loved that. And yes, Navy Pier is about 5 miles and 15-20 minutes away, but it does cost a bit more these days with the cost of gas etc.
