It has been a week since we came back, I could still hear waves. :) Having a oceanfront was definitely a must for a vacation with 4yr old twin boys and we had a fantastic time! It is a beautifully furnished condo unit with SPETACULAR view! My 4yr old boy said "Mom gasped when we came into the new home!" And indeed we felt at home. Between sigtseeing in the morning and beach/pool hopping in the afternoon, we have breakfast inside and dinner too. Boys are 3hr jetlagged and exhuasted from having too much fun, they would pass out around 6pm. We would then lunge on the balcony, sipping cocktails and watching sunset. I am very thankful for the fully equipped kitchen with even all kinds of seasonings. And thanks to previous renter who left rum and gin behind. LOL Our favorite place to eat is Mixed Plate. Very homemade Hawaiian food, good cocktails and relaxing atmosphere for family dining.

We arrived late at night so we weren't able to appreciate how breathtaking the view was until we woke up the next morning. We had a wonderful time on our first trip to Maui and I didn't see one place that I'd rather stay than the Mahana. I loved being so close to the water and it was nice to have a kitchen and laundry facilities and room to spread out. The condo unit was quiet and we practically had the beach to ourselves. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

The Perfect Home away from Home!

Our first reaction was "Wow!" when we entered the condo for the first time, the condo is such a beautiful unit...we arrived after dark and didn't see the view until the next morning and we, as land-locked Albertans, we were blown-away. The view is incredible. Every time we looked we were able to see some type of sea life - dolphins (which I understand is a rare sighting in the area), whales as close as 150 yards from the beach, turtles, schools of fish, and even a monk seal one day! We really liked that you could access the lanai from both the living room and the bedroom. The condo was equipped with everything we needed, from a small cooler and ice packs in the freezer to a mixer and muffin tins to a rice steamer to a flash light (for crab spotting on the beach at night) to laundry detergent! A permanent resident of the complex also alerted us to a little herb garden beside the tennis courts that she is in charge of maintaining that is for resident and guest use! The condo was spotless and very well maintained. We were vacationing with a number of our family members who were either staying in the second building in the complex or other properties on either side of the condo complex (one older and one brand new) and it was agreed by all that our unit was the most beautiful and definitely had the best view! The condo was also within walking distance to a supermarket, a postal outlet, a convenience store, and restaurants (we really liked Duke's). We really enjoyed Fleming Beach and Napili Bay Beach - we also discovered the Honolua General Store very close to the Ritz that makes great fresh to order lunches for a great price to take to the beach. The owner of the condo was very quick to reply to any of my questions! We have already recommended this unit to our friends and family!

We are here now on our last days and I have to tell you what a place!! Just like they describe all new everything and the view is spectacular. We watch the turtles and the whaleso the out the floor to ceiling windows and balcony. We paid for snorkeling trips but really you do not need to go anywhere but right down stairs. Skip Molikini it was a disappointment after we snorkeled here. We even saw an 8 ft. reef shark today. No fighting over lounge chairs there is plenty and spread out. Not on top of each other. There is everything you need and then some. There is a grocery store across the street. You should go to the condo first though. It is nice that they seem to leave salt, pepper and spices. We will let everyone we know about this secret hidaway. I am so happy we found this place. Awesome!!

Even better than you will expect

My wife and I had a truly wonderful time. The pictures and description do not do the condo justice. You have to be there to really appreciate its beauty. We were fortunate to be able to see whales and turtles from the lanai. The sunsets were unbelievable. The condo was quiet and very well equipped with appliances, dishes, pots and pans, etc. Although the code we were given for the door was incorrect the problem was quickly solved with one phone call. Dukes restaurant was a good place to go for happy hour. We also made good use of the barbecues. The brew pub, about two minutes up the highway, is a great place for a beer and a cheap lunch. Times grocery store is only a five minute stroll from the condo and has good prices for groceries. Costco is the best place to buy your alcohol but if there are only two of you it is a tough place to buy small quantities of food. All and all this was a great place to stay and I would and have recommended it to all my friends and relatives.

First Class All The Way!!!

My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. This was a first class experience all the way from start to finish. The owner was very easy to work with and responded to my e-mails very quickly. Her customer service skills are amazing. Checking in couldn't have been easier. The condo is just beautiful and even better than the stunning pictures. If you want ocean front, this is as ocean front as you can get anywhere. If you are looking for amazing sunsets from your Lanai, you've got it!! How about a fully equipped kitchen with everything you can imagine for your stay. I can't think of one thing we needed that wasn't in the condo. The furniture is modern, in excellent condition and very comfortable. The TV's are flat screens and top of the line quality. Get this - just about every light in the place is on a dimmer. You have as much or as little light as you want at any time of the day. The shower is very spacious with two shower heads. The bedroom has access to the lanai, the bed is very comfortable and there is a ton of room for your clothes in the dressers and the closet. There were towels, beach chairs and a boogie board for our use. The lanai is very spacious with nice furniture. The parking is free and a short walk to the elevator. The main lobby is very nice with a coffee/snack bar open most of the day. The pool and hot tub are clean and water temperatures were perfect. We didn't barbecue, but if you plan to, the grilling area is really really nice. The beach right outside the unit isn't a swimming beach, but a short walk to the north is a really nice beach. It wasn't an inconvenience at all. I can't tell you enough how much we enjoyed our stay, but I can tell you we will be staying here again. Thanks for making our vacation such a pleasure. This was a first class experience all the way!!!!

There really is not much that I can add to the previous reviews. Everyone has summed it up quite accurately and nicely. It is the nicest place you'd ever want to stay. Everything that you might possibly need has been provided. The view is breathtaking. While the pictures that have been posted are amazing, you will not believe it until you see it. Quite stunning. You will not want to stay anywhere else, and you will not want to leave -- I guarantee it!

Gorgeous! Walked in and wow-better than the pictures!! Plenty of living space and storage space in the big closet and many dresser & bath drawers. Beautiful stonework throughout-the flecks of gold in the kitchen counter and backsplash especially. Large shower-easy to fit my 4 yr old with one of us to wash. Loved the new applicances! Well stocked kitchen-lots of spices, coffee etc here already, and condiments and stuff in the fridge. Would recommend checking it out before buying your own. Many gadgets in the kitchen, and plates/glasses. The view is breath taking! I think I stood for at least an hour before I moved just watching the sun dance on the water making it look like diamonds every where. And the water color sunsets you just have to see for yourself. One thing I really liked is that the lanai railing is plexiglass-I didn't have to worry about my 4 yr old fitting between bars. We also really appreciated the sun filtering tinted shades that blocked the heat but left some view to be seen, and the central a/c when we needed it. Love that we had the a/c throughout, not just in one front room leaving you baking further back in the condo like some complexes. Had some beach toys supplied too. The pool area was very nice-lots of slate, recently remodeled. Huge hot tub. Loved the grill area with the work table and sinks. Appreciated the bathrooms w/showers & changing area. If you have a late flight, you could still enjoy the beach etc, then shower before leaving. Parking lot felt very secure. We enjoyed the many aspects of the beach-at low tide we'd go down and look at the tide pools in the rocks and see the critters/fish. If we wanted to swim more we'd walk a very short distance on either side of the building. This year, my husband will be able to snorkel it too. There is also a really nice park just down the beach-Kahekili with showers, toilets, picnic area and plenty of parking. It's on the beachwalk but easier to drive it so you don't have to walk back exhausted. Groceries across the street at Times. The owner, Linda, is very attentive. I emailed upon arrival that someone had grabbed her beach towels (just to let her know-was going to buy a couple) and within maybe an hour or so there were some delivered. Wonderful service. Linda was always very prompt in her responses-which is great when you might have a couple of condos lined up to inquire about. But...you won't need to inquire beyond this one-this is it! We got back last night and it was a sad departure. I wasn't ready to leave... none of us were. I have to first say that your unit was absolutely wonderful. When we opened the front door and walked in... my husband's first words were "You've got to be kidding me!" That pretty much summed it all up... your home far exceeded our expectations. We had everything we could possibly need to enjoy this trip. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We are already thinking about going back next year... and staying at your condo! That's the only one we will rent from now on.

Just wanted to send a quick note to say how much we enjoyed your place at the Mahana. We had a day of rain near the end of our trip, but we had a wonderful time regardless. The whales and the dolphins put on an incredible show for us while we were there and we managed to see a few places we'd never been before. Beautiful condo! We stayed here from Feb 25-March 4th and loved everything about this condo. Very tastefully decorated, updated and extremely comfortable. The owners have turned the bathroom into a tiled walk-in shower vs a shower/tub which was just ideal! All tile through out, beautiful granite kitchen counters and of course the views from the 12th floor can't be denied. It was too comfortable to leave. We'll definitely return to 1204. THIS is the place to stay!
