Welcome to first class accommodations in the world-famous Ilikai Hotel located at the gateway to Waikiki. We are located on the 15th Floor, one suite from the end on the makai side (ocean), overlooking the habor, ocean and Ala Moana Beach Park.
As you enter our spacious one-bedroom suite, your eyes will immediately be captured by the million dollar view of the Blue Pacific Ocean, with surfers, canoe paddlers, Marina Boat Harbor and sail boats playing on the "ilikai," the Hawaiian translation for "the surface of the sea."
Take a breath of fresh, tropical air and watch as a soft wind plays with the leaves of the palms that grow abundantly along the famous Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon. This is Hawaii!
As you enter your suite, you will begin to feel the warmth that is living "island style." Our interior decor accomplishes this through elegant yet comfortable furniture and furnishings and paintings that replicate Hawaii's natural setting.
In addition to breathtaking views, the Ilikai Hotel is also known for its convenient location. The Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center, five-star restaurants, and the heart of Waikiki are all within easy walking distances. Downtown Honolulu is a ten-minute drive and the airport is a 20-minute drive away. Fronting the hotel is our transit system that has been voted tops in the nation for the past several years. A fare of $2 will get you to any part of the island you need to go to and with a few transfers you can actually travel the entire island. Taxi service is also available at the entrance of the hotel.

While the harbor is quite large, the Visitor's Center and Arizona Memorial are the hubs of tourism. Both places are free to enter, and both draw huge crowds. Several tours are available through activity brokers or tour companies. To reach Pearl Harbor from Waikiki Beach, take Nimitz Highway past the airport to Highway 99, and continue past the naval community. Arizona and Missouri Museums: On December 7, 1941, the battleship USS Arizona was sunk, taking 1,100 sailors with it. In 1961, a solemn white monument was erected above the midsection of the ship. Jae and John live on the Big Island of Hawaii where they operate two of the most popular vacation properties on the Kona Coast (google seach KonaSugarShack & CoconutCondo in Kona).
John is an accomplished artist/printmaker (google search for johnmccaskill)and can usually be found working in his studio at the Kona Sugarshack. He also enjoys a good game of tennis and "talking story" with his friends.
Jae enjoys tropical cooking and gardening. When not busy assisting guests Jae likes hiking to secluded beaches, morning swims at the peir and spending time at the local farmer's markets.

We love the Tiki Condo! You really do think of everything! i.e., you have provided just about anything we could need. The wedding was just beautiful! So glad we could attend. This week we have been to the beach, to the pool, to a luau, on a sunset catamaran sail around Diamond Head, golfed at the Kaneohe Klipper course and relaxed at the rehearsal picnic in Ala Moana Beach Park. We also toured Pearl Harbor and Honolulu before leaving for Kauai after our lovely week here. Mahalo for making our first visit to Hawaii so wonderfully memorable.

A wonderful condo with superb views of the harbor, the ocean and the city. We have stayed in the Ilikai many times but this is definitely the best suite in a very desirable building that is easily within walking distance of Waikiki Beach, Downtown Waikiki, Ala Moana Park and the Ala Moana shopping center. King size bed extremely comfortable, with a retractible wall that is handy if you have visitors using the sofa-bed. Condo extremely clean, well-maintained and well-furnished with towels, dishes, pots and pans, cooking supplies and basic necessities such as shampoo and cleaning supplies. Plenty of sheets and towels. Spacious shower. Access to internet and telephone for calls in US and Canada included. Handy keyless lock a great feature - no need to worry about keys! Very warm and helpful hosts. All necessary information provided beforehand. No hesitation whatsoever about recommending this condo!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children.

The condo is fantastic. My husband and I would stay again in a minute. Jae has the condo so well equipped - from the kitchen to the beautifully set up lanai, we were not in need of anything. The beach chairs in the condo were better than ones we had purchased on our own. And she even thought of including a few extra nice to haves: such as a cooler, outdoor candles for when the sun sets on the lanai and a great collection of places to see and restaurants to eat at (local favorites). The sunsets were spectacular off the balcony each night, as the condo is situated in one of the best spots on the floor.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.
