Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Intermountain, West Vail is so convenient, our Private Mountain House is centrally located between Vail, Minturn, Beaver Creek, Avon & Edwards making the drive to any ski area/parking access to lifts within 10 - 15 minutes. My family has been vacationing in the Vail valley since the 1980's, I grew up vacationing in this area. It's hard to beat what Vail & Beaver Creek offer.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
I love this house, it is in a private, residential neighborhood. Much of Vail has been over built with crowded apartment units, our property is close to the park (& dog park) and the Meadow bus stop that picks up every 20 minutes. The private shared hot tub allows our guests to unwind after a long day of activities. We are dog friendly for non-aggressive breeds.
also sporting good store, fast food, liquor store, hardware, and $1 movie rentals inside City Market and McDonalds!
Owner's Map of Private Homes
My girlfriend & I split our time between Vail & Austin, TX. We are avid swing & lindy hop dancers that travel all over the US competing & social dancing. Our goal is to some day live in the Vail Valley full time and help build a local dance community. Though my passion is dancing & teaching dance, my career is selling meat or other protein based foods all over the world. I'm fulfilling the destiny of a long line of meat traders from back in the 1930's when my grandfather sold meat for Swift in Chicago. Another passion of mine is snowboarding & telemark skiing, lately it's been all about telemarking.

My husband and I and our lab mix stayed in this condo for a few days and had a great time. The condo is accurately represented by the photos on the profile. Billy, the owner, was super friendly and helpful and made himself available for any questions. He has meticulously crafted an impressive binder with pretty much everything you would need to know about the condo and Vail. Being able to park your car inside the garage was a huge plus. The condo is VERY clean and the location is great. It's a short walk to the dog park and to a bus that takes you straight to the lifts/restaurants in Vail. Just a heads up if you're bringing a pup, your dog will have to stay in the kitchen while you're out. I totally understand this policy, but it would have been nice to know before we arrived. We didn't call other condos because of similar "pet must be crated" policies, so it was a bit of a "oh, um, ok" moment when we read that we were to use a baby gate to keep our dog from roaming about the condo in our absence. Also, the lighting in the living room is pretty much full throttle, day and night. Once those energy efficient bulbs charge up, it's very bright. There is a dimmer switch, but it does little to actually dim the lights. So a cozy night by the fire seemed more like an afternoon in a library. If you turn them off, it's very dark, so it's pretty much all or nothing lightwise in the living room. We chose to shut them off and sit by firelight most nights, which was fine, but it would have been nice to have another less "all or nothing" lighting option. Other than that, the place was terrific and we would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a great, convenient place to stay in Vail. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very cozy unit. When we checked in, everything was clean and beautiful. It was much more spacious than we had imagined. The walk to the shuttle was very short and convenient. We loved the dog park and trails in the area and made it a daily ritual to take the dogs out for walks. Our dogs LOVED the snow!! The hot tub was excellent, especially after a full day of skiing and snowboarding. We were a solid group of 4 staying the whole time with a few friends from Denver stopping by for a day or two. We did have 7 one night and were quite comfortable with the space. The owner was very helpful and concerned and made sure that we had everything we needed. I would most definitely recommend this property to family and friends. This will definitely be our spot if we decide to ski Vail next winter!

Bottom line (first, since this is the part everyone cares about): This place packs great bang for your buck with enough space, great amenities and an extremely convenient location to getting to/from Vail on the free shuttle. Pros: - Hot tub! Shared with the other units, but was always open when we wanted to hop in. - Good space - plenty of space to spread out for our group of 6. Good sized up and downstairs with some extra room in the garage where we could stash skiing equipment. - Flatscreen and blu-ray player - Unit has a nice 42" flatscreen and Internet connected blu ray with apps like Netflix and Hulu ready to go for those days / nights when you're just kicking it around the place. - Fireplace - worked. Necessary - Great location with easy access to free shuttle - as advertised. Super easy to trek down to the free shuttle and a quick ride into Lionshead or Vail village. Also, very close to grocery and liquor stores. - Landlord is very responsive to calls / texts Cons: - The mattresses on the two pullouts are not in great shape. Would recommend packing some extra padding if planning to use.

Our party thoroughly enjoyed staying in this townhome. The unit was well updated and very convenient. The in-town bus stop was right down the street. The hot tub was an added bonus and great after a long day on the slopes. The amenities and location make this property such a great value. Billy and Leigh Ann were delightful to work with and made everything hassle free. We will definitely be be staying here again!

There are three units one being a studio. I have stayed in the studio and the upstairs two bedroom unit. The property is very well maintained and is in close proximity to Vail village and lionshead. There is bus transportation but a car is very convienent. Pets are welcome and there is a dog park with in walking distance. Washer/dryer on location. Beats the hell out of a motel and much more comfortable!

We recently had an overnight trip to this wonderful townhome. We found the accommodations very clean and organized, with all of the necessary amenities provided (plates, silverware, utensils, coffee filters, etc…you name it and they likely have it for you). The rooms were spacious and very comfortable...in fact we immediately felt like we were at home in the mountains. The townhome is located in West Vail just a minute walk from the bus stop and a 5 minute bus ride to all that Vail has to offer. Carol, the owner, is so wonderful, and very communicative as well. She genuinely cared about our stay there! When the internet connection was down, a simple email from my phone to Carol and she had it fixed in less than 10 minutes. I would recommend to anyone that you use this townhome for your mountain visits!

Excelent choice for those travelers looking for good clean reasonable priced accommodations with close proximity to the Cascade lift via free shuttle within short walking distance. The owner is very nice.. and by chance I met her when I was checking in as she and two friends were checking out. The unit was fresh and had everything i needed for comfort. I stayed in the master bedroom. It had a large tub but I'm not much into baths prefering a shower. I suggest that this tub be retrofited with a hand held shower set up. I liked the view at night and enjoyed the sun in the morning. The snow was great!.. and as always... VAIL ROCKS!
Owner response:We have completely remodeled the master bathroom with a full shower & kept the jacuzzi tub as well. We have included a picture of the new shower in the photo section of this listing.

My 3 friends and I ski every year in CO but at different resorts. This year we wanted Vail but without the cost. This Triplex was a blast! Short downhill walk to the bus service with easy access, the location couldn't be better. Overnight hot-tub sitting watching the stars without any city-light was fantastic. Big kitchen for those who like to cook there own food with plenty of kitchen ware for making just the right meal. Quiet, effective living and of course, big-screen TV to catch those bowl games and playoffs. Off-street in-garage parking made the place our home away from home. We have a great time!

Excellent stay! Great place, a wonderful experience Guest: Pablo (California) Date of Stay: November 24, 2010 Review Submitted: December 6, 2010 I definitely plan to stay here again. The house is fantastic, we were VERY comfortable in the 2.5 bedroom east unit. A great, large and nicely equipped kitchen was ideal for us as we cooked several really large meals, and the big hot tub right outside the door was amazing for after skiing. A short walk to the west vail bus was rather convenient as well. The owner is also very accommodating and easygoing, overall a painless experience renting from her. A pleasure. Respond to this review
