My travels brought me to snowy Breckenridge Colorado and Mount Vista Manor. With Breckenridge ski resort just a short distance away, and many other ski resorts close by I was in a prime location in the heart of ski country. Surrounded by the snow capped Rocky Mountains, this house provided a true Colorado experience.
After a hard day of skiing my traveling companions and I looked forward to our return to the house. The hot tub was perfect and the views are simply unbelievable. We made full use of the kitchen and cooked some truly epic meals. Cooking for a group is no small task and the right tools (pots, pans, etc.) are essential, and we had everything we needed in the gourmet kitchen. Each meal was always paired with amazing views from the dining room table and off the back deck.
The two upstairs master suites were incredible. Lying in bed and looking out onto the mountains was a great way to start the day. Each member of our group had plenty of privacy with their own bedroom. Some bedrooms even had a humidifier which helped to offset the dry climate.
This place takes leisure time very seriously. The downstairs game room was an incredible place to hang out and unwind. With a pool table, video games and foosball, everybody had something to do. The family room adjacent to the kitchen was a relaxing spot to watch a movie, play games, or just relax and read. Having the iPod dock run through a great sounding stereo system was a nice touch. We could put on some tunes while cooking or just relaxing. Did I mention they had a PS3 AND a Wii?
Other features included an outdoor grill, garage parking for two cars, wrap-around deck and a quick 5-minute drive to downtown Breckenridge and the slopes. The convenient location allowed us to ski three different mountains during our visit, which gave us a real taste of Colorado’s best skiing. The ability to keep two cars in the garage free of snow made getting out to the slopes so much easier.
The owners were great to work with and highly responsive. They really have thought of everything. Instructions for electronics were easy to find. Ken & Teri also provided restaurant tips and other helpful advice. If you’re planning a ski trip or a mountain get-away, you’ll find all you could want in this comfortable home.

Why the Owner Chose Woodmoor
We bought Mount Vista Manor when a mutual friend mentioned that he had looked at it and how great a rental property it would be. When we looked at the property we fell in love with the location, views and the overall warmth of the home.
The Unique Benefits of this House
After purchasing the home, we stayed in it for a while to appreciate the amenities of the home and what the home needed to make it a premier property. We updated all of the kitchen appliances (and tested them), bringing the kitchen up to a gourmet standard. We added flat screen tv's and a home theatre with surround sound. We purchased new leather sofas (sofa beds) and gave the place a facelift. We purchased a Sony Playstation 3 with blu-ray disc to further enhance the game room downstairs.

This beautiful property with a stunning view was just perfect for our mini-reunion of five siblings and their children this summer. Our group was between 13 and 16 people, and we found it very comfortable. There are two very large masters upstairs, which we only fought over a little bit! I loved reading at night in the cozy loft area between the two masters. Kids enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and the game room downstairs. Kitchen/dining/great room area is very open, and great for hanging out. Owners have anticipated just about everything--humidifiers in the bedrooms, an exceptionally-well equipped kitchen and pantry including herbs and spices, lots of books, games, Wii, even a case of water in the pantry! We found it a convenient 5-minute drive to downtown Breckenridge, and there is even a bus stop close by, though we all had rental cars. The area is wonderful--we went whitewater rafting, biking, horseback riding, rock-climbing, ziplining, and spent an entire day at the Breck Fun Park. The coffee drinkers loved that there was a Starbucks downtown. Altitude was only a minor problem, though many of us stayed overnight in Denver or Colorado Springs for a day or two before going up to the mountains, which I highly recommend, having had altitude sickness in Breck in the past. If we ever have a large group again, we would rent again in a heartbeat, maybe during ski season next time!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Mt. Vista Manor is a beautiful home with spectacular views of the mountains. The living areas are very comfortable...the kitchen is terrific and well stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes...and the dining table is awesome! Plenty of seating for our family of 15. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation destination!

Fantastic home with all the ametities. Great for family vacation and wonderful toys for the children. Plenty of room and beds for all. Was pleased that they kept the driveway clear of the snow for our cars to park. Lots of room for big dinners with friends and relatives and plenty of dishes and cooking utinsels.

We had such a great time. The house was unbelievable more than enough room for all ten of us. Perfect for skiing and snowboarding because the free bus stops rite in front of the house. The owners couldn't have been anymore helpfull and great to do deal with.

When our group decided to rent Mount Vista Manor we were amazed by how great the accomodations were. Not only was the view 'one in a million', the kitchen is the epitimy of a gourmet facility, the two upstairs suites are extremly large but still homey, and the basement entertainment facilities (including the pool table, big screen television with connecting psp) engaged our entire crew of young professionals. This house far surpassed our expectations and I would rent Mount Vista Manor again in a heart beat!

We spent seven days at Mount Vista Manor and it was wonderful. There were nine of us in the family group and the home provided everything we could ask for in terms of luxury and beauty. The proximity to Breckenridge, the bus service, and the quality of the accomodations contributed immensely to a wonderful week of family fun.

Mount Vista is spectacular! The view from the home is postcard perfect. The living areas are open and comfy and beautifully appointed. The kitchen is huge and has all the amenities a gourmet cook could wish for, including an awesome induction stove. The bedrooms are all large with a lot of closet space. The two master suites are the size of small apartments. Even the hot tub provides a spectacular view of the mountains. A true luxury property, with the Free Ride bus stop within a stones throw. Compared to other rentals I've looked into, Mount Vista is a bargain. I'll definitely return!
