Spacious and luxurious three bedroom, three full bath condominium on the slopes. The Snowcrest Lodge is a true ski-in, ski-out condominium located about 100 feet from the resort’s primary chairlifts and about 100 yards from the main lodge area. No streets to cross, ski to and from your door. Leave your car in the underground garage and enjoy being nested away in luxury. This condominium is set up for total convenience to reduce wasting effort on anything but having fun on the slopes. As the one resort in the Tahoe region with a high base elevation, Kirkwood is normally above the rain line during warmer storms. On those occasions you’ll be playing in deep powder on the entire mountain while the other Tahoe resorts endure at least some rain.
The condominium, built in 2001, has many upgrades and amenities including a large bank of windows that look out upon the ski slopes and forest, over ten foot ceilings, two small outside decks, cable TV with DVD and VHS, berber carpets, gas fireplace, granite countertops, washer/dryer, and high speed wireless internet access. The dining table comfortably seats eight. A ski locker room is just downstairs, enabling you to securely store your skis/snowboard without carrying them to the condominium. No land based phone service is offered. Bring your cell phones and enjoy coverage throughout the resort.
Get a quiet night’s rest tucked away from the noise of traffic, snow plows and snow grooming equipment. The condominium has beds for six plus a fold out bed for two more. Each bed has a goose down comforter to ensure warmth even on the coldest nights. The master bedroom has a queen size Select Comfort bed and its own full bathroom. Bedroom two also has a queen bed with a bathroom directly across the hall. The third bedroom has two twin beds. It is upstairs with French doors that open to overlook the living room. It too has a bathroom across the hall. The sofa in the living room folds out into a full size bed. (Note: there's a 8 person limit - no execeptions).
You will have access to the Kirkwood Owners' Association Recreation Center which includes a large outdoor pool, spa, and fitness center. Catering and a grocery shopping service are available.
Snowcrest Lodge has its own indoor jacuzzi with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Come and soak after a day on the slopes and enjoy the amazing glow on the nearby Red Cliffs at sunset.
Tired of skiing? In 45 minutes you can be at South Lake Tahoe sightseeing, gambling, shopping, or taking in a show. In the summer enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, horseback riding, boating and more. It's really the best of all worlds; Kirkwood is quiet, peaceful, and away from the crowds and yet only a short (and beautiful) drive to Lake Tahoe's action.

Why the Owner Chose Kirkwood
As a family sport skiing is fun but it can also be a logistics nightmare. Getting to and from the slopes with all the equipment, stopping for food and potty breaks can be exhausting. We decided to buy a unit in the Snowcrest Lodge because it removed most of this hassle. With the ski-in/ski-out feature, we don't have to take shuttles to and from the hill and everyone can come and go at their own pace. And, with the underground parking, we don't have to dig our car out after a storm. We are very close to the lifts and the base village but far enough away to enjoy peace and quite at night.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The living room in our unit has lots of windows. It offers a feeling of being connected with the surrounding nature. We enjoy watching the changes that come with the different seasons. In the winter the forest is transformed by the many snow storms. In the spring and summer the snow gives way to bubbling streams and flowers. After a mountain bike ride or a hike it is great to come back and sit and watch as evening comes over the forest.

When it came time to look for a place to buy a ski home Kirkwood quickly emerged as the obvious choice. The pristine valley, the lack of crowds, surprisingly easy access and great snow conditions combine to make this place unlike anywhere else in the Tahoe region. I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect location to spend quality time, during Spring Break, with our rapidly growing High School and College aged children. This condo fit the vision in every way. The building and the condo exceeded our expectations and Ethan was fabulous with answering all my questions promptly. A big surprise was a late Spring storm that piled snow up 3 feet above the 2nd story deck railings. However, if there is a perfect place to be snowed-in, this was it!! The big beautiful corner unit windows allowed us to marvel at the dramatic and persistent storm while enjoying the warmth of the fireplace. Nothing beats relaxing in the spa/ jacuzzi room, which is right down the hallway, with it's fantastic view of snow blowing all around outside. The kitchen met all of our cooking needs, but Bub's Pub is right across the street and they have great food. It's a very short walk to the Lodge for lift tickets and if it wasn't for the huge amount of snow during our stay, we could have skied right up to the back door of the condo building. You can see chair 6 from the condo and runs go right past the building. The underground parking saved us from having to dig our car out. The big dining room table hosted hours of board games...remember, we were stuck....and there was plenty of room to spread out when Cabin Fever started to set in. Since all of Kirkwood is on a generator, we never lost power, which was wonderful. It was not the vacation I had planned but the location was perfect, clean and comfortable and ideal for creating family memories that will never be forgotten.

This is a great property. The extra light from the windows in the dining room made this location very light and bright. Lots of little extras such as spices and condiments filled in where I had holes in my shopping list. The snow saucers added a lot of fun to the apres ski events.

This was our first experience at Kirkwood and we really enjoyed ourselves. The condo was located within skiing distance from Cornice Express and Solitude lifts. This made it convenient to ski in for lunch and then return for afternoon fun without the crowds at the lodge. We were pleased with the appearance of the condo and the photos on line were accurate. The owner was very accomodating with question prior to our arrival and with correspondance afterwards. We would definitely recommend this condo to family and friends.

This was an outstanding rental. Very convenient for skiing and clean and comfortable. The kids liked playing in the ample snow just outside the condo and made a big snow fort and a sledding run. We enjoyed the hot tub every day. Plenty of space for the 7 people in our party. Listing and photos very accurate. Ethan was a pleasure to rent from. He very promptly and thoroughly answered any questions and returned our deposit in record time!
