Shaded by palms, tropical plants and fruit trees, Kaua‘i Dawn cottage, with its own Private Entrance and Parking, is designed in an open concept. Enjoy the lush surroundings by lounging on your Private Deck or taking a relaxing soak in the JACUZZI.
The nearest Beach, less than 1/4 mile below, is good for Swimming, Snorkeling, Surfing, and Kayaking. The open living area is split into three areas for dining, sleeping, and a comfortable seating area for watching Television, reading, or browsing the Internet with a direct Ethernet connection. The mini-kitchen is equipped with a small Fridge, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Microwave, dishes, baking dishes and kitchen utensils. Any open flame cooking can be done directly out the door on the Outdoor Gas Grill where there is also a Washer & Dryer for your personal use. The full bathroom has a stand up Shower. The complete unit is tiled in slate to keep the heat at bay in this Non-Air conditioned cottage. The fan above the Queen Bed and the Ocean Breeze keep this cottage perfectly comfortable all year round. There is cable TV with a CD/DVD Player & many current DVD's and no phone. The Cottage is provided with Beach Chairs, Coolers, Boogie Boards, and optional rental of a Kayak for $20 Day.

I love my job. It comes only second to how much I enjoy Kauai and the people it brings and those that stay. I work at Kauai Community College for the Dept. of Labor with the Rural Development Project. We assist the unemployed and underemployed to receive training for available careers on the island of Kauai. This is an unusual stop for me as you can see if you read my blog at http://kauaidawn.com/Kauai/DawnsAdventures!.htm I planned to work just a little but got caught up in the community here, so that plan went South. I don't write much in my blog anymore, but take a look and it will give you a great insight of what brought me to Kauai March 1st, 2005
Why the Owner Chose Lihue
I love meeting new people and sharing my knowledge of the island, so I decided to select a home that had a very private cottage with it. I knew I could not manage a mortgage on Kauai so high but figured if I used by business sense and my enormous knowledge of Kauai I'd be able to open a vacation rental so I could share and also enjoy a great home in the process. I knew this would make it possible to be able to afford to live here also. The central location on the island became a lucky plus.
