Why the Owner Chose Flying Dutchman
We love Keystone and have been sking for over 38 years. We chose Keystone because of the many activities they offer and location near other ski resorts. Brenda Z.
This is the Mountain House Lodge & Ski School location. Bus will drop you here.
Just across the parking lot is the "BUS HUT". Less than 50 yards. Catch this bus to the slopes or into Keystone. Once into Keystone you can get a bus to Breckinridge and the local area. NICE! (Not Correct Location on Map)

Do Not Rent This Property!!!

I rented this prorperty on February 3rd through the 7th of this year and have rented this property with my family the last 7 years. I arrived early thursday to find that we had no running water I called the owner she stated that the building had a water problem and that it would be fix soon. A day went by and no water we had to take showers in the pool area!! went out skiing came back still no water. went without water for a day and half !! we checked out early monday morning did the cleaning requirments and left the condo like I always have the past 7 years (CLEAN). 3 weeks later I get an email from the owner stating that the condo was left poorly and that she would be keeping my deposit and not to call her!! I tried to call to get an eplanation on why she kept the deposit and have not gotten a return call from them, Do NOT rent this property ill save you the headaches!!!!!
Owner response:As owners of a rental property our most important job is to insure that every renter has a pleasant vacation. Because we live out of state we must rely on our cleaning crew to inform us of any problems. This was the first time we have ever received an alert as to the conditions in the five years we have owned our Unit. They said a curtain string was broken and look like a cyclone had been through. When they said it smelled like smoke I became sick. This tenant had rented from us the last 4 years. (Not seven.) I ask the tenant about this he said they did smoke, but only on the deck. I am sure we have had smokers before but this is the first time the smell was inside. This was very upsetting. I am very allergic to smoke. It is posted and in our contract that this is a non-smoking unit. The tenant was correct, there was no water in the unit when they arrived. I called the main office immediately and they said a crew was on the job fixing frozen pipes to the entire building. (-14 degrees) This was an act of God. I ask the tenant to use the pool area showers so they would not miss any skiing and by the time they returned the water should be on. It was. Yes, we were disappointed in our tenant who would allow smoke into the unit. We had to pay the cleaners extra to put our air-fresher and return to check the unit before our next guest arrived. Yes, we did deposit the damage deposit check. This was the first time ever! After it cleared we wanted to take out the extra cost and then refund the tenant. Not sure what we will do now. Brenda & Mike
