I found this property to be even better than described and pictured in the VRBO site. It is an obviously well loved beach retreat. The cabin is fresh and clean and I didn't feel I needed to wash dishes before using them as I have sometimes at other rentals. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans and basic cooking items that any cook would require to prepare a real meal. It's also nice to find olive oil and balsamic vinegar on site as well as Starbucks coffee, biscotti and a basket of fresh baked muffins for breakfast. There are some toys for the beach and a nice collection of DVD's if the weather is not so good. What a view! Beachfront property like this can't be beat. I know I sound like I must be related to the owners. I am not. This was just a lucky find by me and a friend. This place would be good for a small family with children, a couple for romance, or, like me, a place to get together with an old friend.

Sunshine Beach Bungalow

The owners are helpful and readily available for questions.The location is great for walking the beach as well as the road, both are beautiful expereinces. The home is pleasantly decorated and very clean. I especially enjoyed sitting at the picture window with my morning coffee watching the sunrise and birdlife. There was plenty of space for 2 couples and 2 kids to move from inside to outside with ease.nd We brought a portable fire pit and kept warm near the beach on NY's Eve. We would definitely recommend this vacation/getaway rentalant time of the year.

My wife and I and our two children (3yrs & 5yrs old) stayed at the Runyans beach house for a week in May. We had a GREAT time. The beach provided endless fun and exploring for us all. The house and incredible view of the Puget Sound made for a very relaxing and refreshing week. We loved to just relax in the morning drinking coffee and watching the sea lions and in the evening drinking wine and watching the sun set! The house is beautiful and very comfortable. This was the best week of family vacation that we have ever taken! What a vacation should be, rejuvenation! Thank you Mike and Julia for making our stay so special! We will be back!

Sunshine Beach Beachfront Bungalow

We had a wonderful, relaxing week staying in this clean, well appointed "Hawaiian style" beachside bungalow on Sunshine Beach. We felt pampered and comfortable with all the ammenities provided such as delicious locally made pastries, a coffee bar with varieties of coffee and tea, comfy chairs in the window nook to sip our coffee while gazing out the window viewing the soaring eagles, the harbor seals and the boats cruising by. The walks on the beach were relaxing and peaceful. The water views and sunsets are spectacular! We definitely plan on returning! Thanks to Mike and Julia for sharing their lovely get-a-way with everyone.

Great Memories

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Mike and Julia's property in Gig Harbor. They did a great job to make out stay comfortable and special. Since our visit was during Christmas and New Years, they had a decorated tree there upon our arrival, as well as select food items for us to enjoy. It was an easy commute for our children who live in Seattle, to come and visit. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated with a modern kitchen. The bay was very peaceful and a perfect location for viewing wildlife. We will remember our stay there with very fond memories.

What a lovely vacation spot!

We spent 3 nights at the end of the summer here, and had a LOVELY time. We had dinner outside on the picnic tables, walked down the beach, saw some splendid sunsets, counted sea stars in the water, saw harbor seals every night, and even had a visit from a friendly neighborhood dog! It was extremely relaxing and enjoyable and we'd love to come back.

A cozy place on the beach

This summer, we (my wife, my daughter and I) spent a week in this beachfront bungalow and it was a very pleasant surprise. We found it on the internet and decided to book it for the week only based on the description of the place and a few photos shown on the website. We did not have much expectation because the Ad usually shows the place much better than it really is. However, we felt it should still be better than the alternative like staying in a hotel and making day trips to the beach. We wanted to have our vacation in a place where the beach was just a few steps away. Guess what? We found this perfect place. It's not only better than what the website's shown but also located in a very private and quiet area. The place was tastefully decorated and felt very cozy. Whether you sat on the porch or inside the house, you would have a pamaramic view of the bay. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, cookwares and species. It had more than we needed (my wife and I love to cook) during our stay. The place was kept very clean. More importantly, during our stay, the owner of the property made every effort to make sure our stay a pleasant one. I strongly recommend this place if one wants to have a great experience staying in a beach house of the Pacific northwest region. In fact, we are planning to be back next summer and perhaps more.

The Beach Cabin

We had the pleasure of staying at this beach house for about 2 months. The facility is very nicely appointed with everything you could possibly need to make your stay enjoyable. The house and grounds are very nicely maintained with easy access to the beach. We spent many mornings watching the eagles fly overhead, the gulls diving for sealife and the harbor seals romping and, in general putting on a great show for us. We were there during the spring and were able to watch a wonderful display of Sea Stars in all their beautiful colors for several weeks. We will always hold fond memories of our stay and will definitely use this cabin for future guests and relative visits.

Thank you for everything! We love your Beach house. I can't think of a thing I'd do different if I were you. Your special touches and perfect decorating made us feel right at home. Thank you too for the nice bottle of wine. We enjoyed it! We had some awesome fillet mignon, drank wine and watched a beautiful sunset over the water. We got some well needed relaxation together without interruption of everyday real life stuff! Thanks again!

Our weekend stay at your beach home was a special experience. We enjoyed the quiet setting, wildlife viewing (seal, gray whale, and shore birds) walks on the beach, as well as just relaxing on the front porch! We loved the comfortable feel of the home and your attention to detail (coffee, condiments, etc) was much appreciated. we will be back!
