Just 12 miles from the Cancun airport, Puerto Morelos is separated from the highway by mangrove swamps filled with wildlife. The town boasts great restaurants - choose traditional Mexican or various gourmet fare. Visit the beach-side town square and shops, daily fresh fish market, local grocery store and weekly fresh produce market. Buy sacks of oranges from local truck vendors to squeeze your own fresh juice. Try snorkeling or diving on the Palancar Reef which protects the shore.
Our two-story villa is located on the north side of town, one block from the sandy beach and within walking distance of the town. Enter through our private gate. Inside, the large living room has multiple windows and ceiling fans to capture the area's cool breezes. The kitchen is fully stocked with new appliances, dishes and cookware - everything you'll need. The bedrooms upstairs are air-conditioned and roomy, easily accommodating two people in each. Walk through the house to a private patio garden and then to the shared pool (beach towels provided).
For more excitement or sightseeing, a short drive, bus or taxi ride will take you to either Cancun or Playa del Carmen, where you can take a ferry to the island of Cozumel. Many attractions and Mayan ruins are within driving distance.
Enjoy all the beauty and fun of the Yucatan peninsula, then return for a quiet evening on the patio. In the morning, take your coffee up to the roof-top patio and watch the sun come up over the ocean. It truly is a paradise, guaranteed to take you away from your day-to-day stresses, and send you home calm and rested.

Why the Owner Chose Puerto Morelos
We have been visting and renting in Puerto Morelos for over 15 years. We have found the area very safe for us and our children. Young teens can walk to town, buy treats from local stores and play basketball or soccer on the square with little Spanish and no fear. The particular location we chose has very friendly owners, superb management and well-kept buildings and grounds. It's quiet, close to the beach and town and between the larger cities of Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We like to sit on the roof top deck and look at the ocean - at sunrise or anytime, buy local foods (great fish) and cook in our kitchen, or eat out at very good local restaurants. We are close enough to the beach that we can come back for forgotten items or to get a snack. We visit a number of local attractions, from a small zoo to Mayan ruins, or just sit and read. It's so different from life at home that it's relaxing and enjoyable any time of the year. Excaping the snow to the sunny Yucatan is Excellent!

I've stayed in this wonderful house many times over the years--with kids, with spouse, with friends and alone. Unless it was smack dab on the beach [it's 1/2 block back], there would really be nothing else I could ask for. Owners have taken great care to equip it with everything you could want--down to beach chairs. Spacious kitchen with every needed utensil/dishware/gadget for Caribbean eating. Bedrooms are comfortable with nice linens, great closet space, a/c, alarm clocks-- you name it. Grounds & pool are immaculately kept & administrator is on-site. If you want to be in Pto Morelos . . . you could not want more.

We are back from Puerto Morelos and had an absolutely fantastic time with great weather every day. We were so impressed with your lovely home and all the amenities it came with. It was perfect for the three couples. We especially enjoyed the roof top deck, watching the stars at night. (The manager) was so kind and helpful and we enjoyed getting to know her. The orange juice maker was fun and we all took turns using it. Tropicana boxes of juice don't taste nearly as good! Many thanks for allowing us to use your wonderful home. We will definitely be back.

This is the best rental property we have ever stayed in! A block from the beach and a short walk into 'town' for restaurants & shops. You can eat at a different restaurant every night, the choice is huge. The house was clean, spacious & very well equiped. We enjoyed the use of the bicycles. We particularly liked the outside space, roof terrace, patio & swimming pool. Elise, the owner, was helpful in making our holiday go smoothly. We were greeted on arrival by her friend, Renee, who made us feel very welcome. Raija, the manager onsite, visited us every day to make sure all was well & couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in Puerto Morelos 2 years ago & were nervous about returning in case it had been spoilt by tourism. It was exactly the same as we had left it, peaceful & relaxing. Let's hope it remains that way.

We've stayed at this lovely home every year since 2007 and plan to return in 2011. This spacious, comfortable, well-furnished home is just a block from the beach and a short walk to Puerta Morelos' town square where excellent, intimate restaurants abound, not to mention several shops w/reasonably priced goods. We enjoy relaxing on the home's private patio which has access to a pristine swimming pool.
