Located in the Canadian Rockies, the scenery from every viewpoint is world-class: from the front deck you can see the Three Sisters Mountain Range and from the back deck the view is of Ha Ling Peak and the Rundle Mountain Range.
Professionally designed, the new construction, finished in August 2007, puts a modern twist on rustic mountain living. The finishing includes wide-planked hardwood flooring, slate tile flooring, dark stained knotty pine cabinets and doors, granite counter tops, rich warm colors, and oil rubbed bronze fixtures. Natural light fills the open floor plan due to the abundance of windows, high 9' ceilings on the main floor and vaulted ceilings on the upper floor. Other features include a full size kitchen with ample preparation space, a large dining area and a living room with a custom stone fireplace. There are 3 private bedrooms, each with wonderful mountain scenery and a total of 3 1/2 slate tiled bathrooms.
For added comfort, there is cozy radiant floor heating through-out, especially beneficial on the lower level where you'll find a fully furnished family room, a game room and full size laundry room.
It is a steep, but short walk to the Canmore Nordic Center (x-country skiing venue for the 1988 Olympics) which along with x-country skiing also offers mountain biking and an 18-hole disc golfing course (our favorite!).
The building is 1 block away from both main street (with a variety of dining establishments and boutiques) and the Bow River complete with an extensive trail way.
There are 5 world class downhill ski/snowboarding resorts in close proximity, as well as 3 renowned golf courses in Canmore itself and several others within 45 minutes, such as the Banff Springs Golf Course and the Kananaskis Golf Course, each one offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
