Year Purchased: 1997
Why the Owner Chose Quidnet
I built the house there in Cedar meadows to be close to one of the most important persons in my life. She is the reason i keep coming back to the island and the reason i own a house there.
Long story. Ask if you want to here one of those unique to Nantucket only stories.
Very secluded family beach that offers both ocean side and pond side swimming in a family atmosphere. Parking limited along the road so go early or ride a bike

Owner's Map of Quidnet
We live in Smithfield Va where my wife grew up. I lived on Nantucket for 9 years and Cape Code (Falmouth) for another 9. I grew up in Olean NY if you have heard of it and moved to the cape when i was 20. We both love Nantucket and have some very good friends there. Could end up living there someday when we get brave enough to retire.

We recently stayed here with our extended family group which included children (from ages 2 - 13) and adults. We had a great time riding our bikes on the convenient bike path, going to the beach and practically living on the awesome 1st and 2nd story decks! The house is well equipped and there was plenty of space for everyone, both inside and out. The view of Sankaty lighthouse from the back upper deck along with a full moon will never be forgotten.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

We rented this home over memorial day weekend and there were 3 couples in our party. There was plenty of room/space for everyone. The house is beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice. We all loved the 'upside down' layout. It was amazing to wake up every morning and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee while gazing out at the lighthouse and listening to the birds chirp away. I truly couldn't have asked for anything more. The views were amazing! It was so peaceful and quiet. I would definitely stay here again in the future and would recommend this house to anyone!
