This beautiful, new, luxurious hilltop home on 4 acres in the heart of Paradise Valley commands breathtaking views of Emigrant Peak, Yellowstone River and the Paradise Valley - a delightful & very convenient spot from which to enjoy your Montana vacation, explore Yellowstone and all the local area has to offer. Although, with views like these, you may not want to leave the house! Come enjoy the quiet serenity, fresh mountain air, unparalleled views for miles and Milky Way stars galore - in the privacy of this luxurious, peaceful home.
Paradise Valley offers Yellowstone River fly fishing, hiking, river rafting, mountain climbing, horseback riding and some of the best scenic beauty Montana has to offer.
It's location is a 5 minute drive from Hwy 89, which runs along the Yellowstone River w/public access for fishing, viewing & relaxing. Just 30 minutes south is Yellowstone Natl Park - where you can visit Mammoth Hot Springs, snowmobile, fish Trout Lake, explore mud pots in the geyser basin, see Old Faithful, hike the back country, or photograph wildlife in their natural environment.
Famous Chico Hot Springs is very close by. Soak in the mineral waters or dine at their wonderful gourmet restaurant. They do a great Sunday Brunch!
Yellowstone River, only 5 minutes away, is famous for it's trout-fishing. The river meanders all through the valley, so if fishing or playing on the river is your passion, do make this your destination and indulge it to the full! If you happen to arrive at dusk, you may find yourself greeted by a hillside full of deer! Watch closely as you drive up - their colors blend in with the hills. Or watch them cross just below the house in the morning. You are free to hike and roam the hills around the house, keeping a respectful distance from other homes & fence lines.
The gourmet kitchen provides everything you need (from cookware & utensils to crystal wine & champagne glasses) to create home-cooked meals whenever you choose to 'eat in.' The kitchen table or patio grill are the best spots to congregate with full-on views of the mountains, river & valley! With plenty of room & seating for 12 in the farm-style kitchen, along with the wide-open, top-of-the-hill views from the patio, preparing and enjoying meals here will be one of your most memorable times. The living room has comfortable seating for watching TV, reading a book or just gazing out one of the many, expansive, two-story windows to watch the weather move thru the valley or just daydream. It is open to the kitchen, so even a large group of people may enjoy their time together in the open floor plan.
Our 3-bedroom + loft home (2100 sq. feet) easily accommodates 8-10 people. With a king bed in the Master bedroom, and a large soaker tub and separate shower in the bathroom, your sense of privacy and comfort is indulged. A queen bedroom upstairs is directly across the hall from the 2nd bathroom (shower). The 3rd bedroom, also upstairs, has 2 twin beds with a love seat for an additional, secluded area to relax or read in (if you can take your eyes off the views!). The full size futon in the loft area (with birds-eye views of both the house and surrounding areas) is also a great place to hang out and sleeps two. Finally, two twin air mattresses may be used in any room, allowing us to accommodate up to 10 people. Luxury linens go a long way to ensuring everyone has an excellent night's rest.
The open loft area is a great spot for the kids to hang out after a busy day outdoors, with games, puzzles, and books, or choose a selection from the video library, with many titles to pick from. Connect to the outside world with wireless high-speed internet access.
What's included: Your vacation home is completely prepped before you arrive and cleaned after your stay. Our kitchen is fully equipped with coffee, tea, spices, gourmet cookware, dinnerware, crystal wine & champagne glasses, paper towels and dish washing supplies. Just bring the groceries! Outdoor dining on the back patio has a grill, table and chairs. Bathrooms include luxury towels, soap, toilet paper, Kleenex & paper cups. Enjoy the Ping Pong Table in the garage. Popcorn in the pantry and Otter Pops in the freezer - compliments of Kevin and Debbie!
We truly look forward to welcoming you. Come and be renewed in the peace and beauty of this wonderful Valley.

The house is situated to make the most of this spectacular view - with a private patio area and fire pit, 5-windowed cupola dining area and large picture windows in the living room on both sides of the fireplace.

The view of the entire mountain is yours & comes in a close 2nd to our Yellowstone River views-sometimes it seems you can reach out and touch it, or watch for a rainbow over it after a rainstorm! To the North East we have unobstructed views of almost the entire range of the ABSORAKAS as they lead the way to Livingston and form the eastern side of Paradise Valley. Watch the sun rise over them in the morning or the moon rise over them in the evening - events to plan for! Finally, to our West are the beautiful, grass covered, rolling foothills of the GALLATIN RANGE, which forms the western side of Paradise Valley. The Gallatin peaks are mostly obstructed from view, due to our own location in their foothills. You will see deer & other wildlife roam the hills. Watch the sun light them up in the morning!

House on the Hill -Amazing Mountain & Yellowstone River Views!
Why the Owner Chose Paradise Valley
We have hiked, backpacked and fished in gorgeous mountainous areas for years and found this valley from which to base our adventures! And so close to Yellowstone too - what a bonus! We are from San Diego and very much look forward to our time here - just as you will! Emigrant Peak beacons from just across the valley, which we hiked/climbed Sept 2010 - about 6 miles to the top at 10,900 ft - a challenging one for us!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home sits atop one of many grassy, rolling hills overlooking the Yellowstone River, between the Gallatin Range on the West and the Absorakas Range on the East. Besides the incredible mountain views every way you look, we especially love our valley view of the Yellowstone River to the south! It has been said "You won't see anything prettier than that in all of Yellowstone" and we think it's the truth! That southern view also includes Dome Mountain, Black Mountain and Sheep Mountain in Yellowstone, hinting of all Yellowstone has to offer, just waiting for you to explore. You will feel as tho you're on "the top of the world" with a large degree of privacy!
Our home has a "country" feel, with the natural grasses leading up to the house, and the wide open spaces it commands. Deer frequent our 4 acre "yard" and can be watched from the house. You will experience the weather first hand as it moves through the valley out the many windows. But while you have the feeling of being "outside" while actually being "inside", this house is solidly built, warm and cozy. Not to mention the modern amenities and comforts of a new home!
5 minutes away - A great, well-stocked store for groceries, beer and wine or anything you forgot to bring or buy! There also is a cafe and Saloon across the street. Turn west for the Post Offic
10 minutes away - Famous place to soak after a long day. Restaurant and bar too! http://www.chicohotsprings.com/
Just 30 minutes away -- see you there! http://www.nps.gov/yell/index.htm
10 minutes away - relax or picnic on the river at the beautiful rest stop with lawn and facilities.
5-10 minutes - There are several fishing access points along Hwy 89. http://www.yellowstoneangler.com/yellowstone.asp

Big Creek Trail follows Big Creek to the west (next road south of us), providing access to a network of trails, lakes and mountain peaks. The trail heads six miles up to Windy Pass. http://www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail.aspx?trailid=HGR186-055

We spend a relaxing week at the house and the surrounding area (Yellowstone included) and enjoyed every minute of it. The house really does have pretty much everything and the look out from almost every room is awesome. It was so peaceful and beautiful, I must be stupid to recommend the house and reduce the property availability and therefore minimize my own chance of going back there. But that's the way it is: 5 star definitely!!! I congratulate Debbie and Kevin to such a beautiful house and envy you a little bit. :-)

My wife and I just spent a week at the "House on the Hill". It was a great vacation. The views from the house are incredible. The mountains had a fresh coating of snow and the Aspens were at peak color. Everything about the house was excellent, from the large gas fireplace to the well stocked kitchen. From the house it was a quick 30 minute drive to Yellowstone where we saw abundant wildlife including six wolves. We have already recommended this property to friends.

My husband and I and our cousins stayed here Sept 10-17th. It is everything the owners proclaim. The views are breathtaking, the home is cozy and inviting, it's close to Yellowstone and we had a blast. Local food at the Lighthouse south to Gardiner- Montana Rib and Chop House north to Livingston-great eats. Enjoyed lazy river raft and horseback @ Chico Hot Springs. Yellowstone was just awesome, like nothing you can imagine unless you actual experience it and the Grand Tetons?- must see the view from Oxbow Turn-Magnificent! Thanks for having us! Can't wait to return. Mary & John-Broomes Island, Md.

We had a lovely time in your Paradise Valley home. The views were truly astounding. The weather patterns and sunsets each day were unique and stunning. Your home is an excellent location from which to explore Yellowstone and the surrounding Absaroka Mountain range area. We had many adventures including driving the upper and lower loops of Yellowstone with all their amazing natural phenomenon, hiking day trips, a rollicking/wet raft trip on the Yellowstone River with the Wild West Rafting Co., relaxing in the “Boiling River,” and seeing many of the animals of Yellowstone (buffalo, elk, big horn sheep, pronghorns, a grizzly, osprey, mule deer, a fox, but not a single moose!). We ate at a number of the local restaurants in and nearby Gardiner, but must say that the restaurant at Chico Springs did live up to its reputation. Sherrie, your property manager, is excellent and responded to all our requests promptly, as did you. Aside from the Internet issues, which were mostly resolved by your attentive property manager and your Internet provider, we couldn't have asked for a better working vacation with fabulous views. You certainly do cater to your renters, above and beyond, with many extra touches, which we fully appreciated. Thank you.

Your home in Montana is wonderful. It was convenient to Bozeman and Yellowstone (and the 1902 Saloon!). We found the home to be very comfortable and the views are amazing. As you know, it is wonderful to enjoy the beautiful mountain views while eating breakfast. What a great way to get the day going. Thank you for having so many games and things to read. We played a family game of Risk and enjoyed reading about Yellowstone and Montana in the magazines and local area guides. Should we have the opportunity to visit Montana again we will certainly consider staying again at the House on the Hill. Further, we would recommend your home to anyone looking for a well-located, comfortable, and clean custom home for their Montana vacation.

This was our first REAL family vacation. I had a baby 3 months ago, and talked my parents, my husband's mom, aunt, uncle, and a couple good friends into taking this little adventure to Yellowstone. It was...WONDERFUL. First, Debbie, Kevin, and the property manager, Sherrie, could not have been more accommodating. The house had pretty much everything -- coffee, sugar, olive oil, spices, towels, linens, soap, etc. AND they even provided a porta-crib and set it up for my baby! When the Internet wasn't working, I emailed Sherrie and they fixed it the very next day. The views were lovely, and so nice because some days some of us stayed at the house to watch the baby. So even though we weren't exploring the park, we still had that amazing Montana view. It was about a 35 minute drive to the park, which was no big deal. Plus the drive there was even enjoyable! From the house, we would check out all different parts of the park, went to Chico Hot Springs -- we did their horseback riding excursion and their rafting trip -- both were great! And the springs were awesome. We also explored the area around nearby Mill Creek and did a little hike there. (The other hiking area, I can't remember the name, supposedly has a great hike to waterfalls -- but the trailhead was closed due to insect spraying.) We went to dinner at the Chop House in Livingston (AMAZING food -- go there!) There were books, DVDs, and cable at the house, though we didn't use it much. What we did use? The ping pong table! We had tournaments, which brought tons of laughs. We enjoyed making dinner together in the kitchen, and sharing stories -- all ten of us (plus the baby) fit at the table. At night we made s'mores by the fire pit and told ghost stories. One night a couple of us even slept out under the stars...until we heard some howling by coyotes and decided it was best to go back inside. All in all, we could not have had a better experience. I would love to go back and hope to one day stay at this house again! Thank you so much Debbie, Kevin, and Sherrie, for providing us such a wonderful, fun experience.

We really loved the house and paradise valley offers a wide range of outdoor activities to be enjoyed by all ages. In particular we enjoyed hiking in wilderness areas, fishing and viewing wildlife in the park and around the valley. The local folks are great and a soak at Chico Hot Springs after a long day of hiking is highly recommended. The family also enjoyed the rodeo in Livingston and horseback riding with a local outfitter (bearpaw). Overall, awesome house and it is vacation spot we would highly recommend.

I was absolutely blown away by this house. It is represented well in the photos that you see advertised. I rent a house once every two years and know that only the really best qualities of the house will be promoted. I'm used to coming in to a house and being bit disappointed by some aspect of it that was conveniently left out of the promotional materials. This was not the case with this house. Three hundred sixty degrees around this house was stunningly beautiful. It was adequately and comfortably furnished. Having been nursing a sore back for the last six months, I was relieved to find that the beds didn't sag and were fitted with comfortable sheets and pillows. The drive to Yellowstone was as pretty as the park itself and we saw lots of wildlife on the way. In all of the houses I've ever rented, this by far, was the most comfortable and beautiful. I would highly recommend it to anyone and would certainly stay here again.
Owner response:Thanks for the Great Review! We love those 360 degree views too, Debbie and Kevin

We stayed here from 8/31/10 to 9/7/10 and really enjoyed our visit. We went to Yellowstone many days and over the Beartooth highway to Red Lodge. The scenery and wildlife was just unbelievable. The home is very comfortable for 6 adults and fully supplied with many items you don't normally have in a rental home. You are away from the hustle and bustle in Yellowstone, yet close enough to still enjoy all the sites. It's very quiet and beautiful in an around this home, just to sit at the dining room table and look out is worth the visit.
