In a cove on Quonochontaug Pond between Weekapaug and Shelter Harbor is the small community of Haversham. This spectacular waterfront property is on a private road with stunning views of the Pond, the barrier beach, the ocean and Block Island. The general feeling is one of privacy, spaciousness and being part of the natural landscape. This is a unique and very comfortable house which adapts easily to any lifestyle.
The living and dining areas are ample and have excellent views. The large front lawn is ideal for croquet. badminton, volleyball, Frisbee- or sunbathing!
Six bedrooms, 4.5 baths, two kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms plus a library make it perfect for a large family or two families. Spacious porch provides a wonderful area for drinks or meals. One half of the house is air-conditioned.
Private dock gives immediate access to Pond, and through a well maintained breach way, to the ocean. Private mooring for boats up to twenty-five feet. Renters are welcome to bring their own boats, kayaks, canoes, etc. Renters have access to a private beach (reached by boat) directly across the Pond and to two private beaches in Weekapaug, a short drive.
The area boasts many restaurants and has numerous activities for all ages (for example: golf, tennis, sailing, fishing, birding, biking, shopping, visiting nearby Watch Hill, Block Island, Mystic Seaport and Aquarium, or Foxwoods).
How to get there? car; regular train service (Westerly, RI or New London, CT); plane (Groton, CT or Providence, RI for commercial and Groton or Westerly, RI (10 minutes away) for private aircraft).
