The Mango House is a luxuriously designed 2,000 square foot house. The king sized master bedroom on the first floor accesses the 1,000 ft. of covered lanai decks. The upstairs loft bedroom with another king bed as well as a trundle bed, has its own bathroom and upper level private lanai.

Set back from the road, a striking variety of lush flora envelopes and divides the property, including hibiscus, birds of paradise, orchids, ferns, palms, an awesome banyan tree and fruit trees offering the freshest mangoes, papayas, bananas, and avocados that are yours for the picking. Savor oceanic, pastoral or jungle views as tropical birds sing, geckos chatter, the island breezes caress the trees, and the resonance of the tide rhythmically whispers in the distance.

  • I spent a week in this beautiful and tranquil house in the jungle.. eating mangoes from the trees and showering in the amazing outdoor shower. The location is perfect if you want to feel away from it all.. with just what you need a 10 min. ride away.. the beaches are a quick 30 min. ride away, due to the picturesque scenery. living in the jungle is truly something else. This was my first time in Hawaii and I really wanted to be away from all the touristy areas. I'm thrilled to have found this house! I fell in love with it & can't wait to return in the near future.

  • This place is an absolute treasure nestled away in the jungle but only a 5 minute drive from quirky Kapa'au town with galleries and cafe's. We stayed here on our honeymoon for 10 nights and were both sad to leave it behind, even though our next stops were Maui and Oahu and offered promise. Nothing on our whole trip compared to the experience we had whilst staying here - it is your own private sanctuary set amongst avocado, chinese cherry, mango, papaya and banana trees (and we picked whatever was in season and had it for breakfast). We'll be coming back!

  • There's magic in this welcoming house and the enchanting fragrant breezes that move through the surrounding jungle. The wrap-around porch is my favorite place to catch the sunrise or see the moon and stars after a great day exploring the Big Island. Relaxing, inspiring and so much fun!

  • I spent a week hidden away in the jungle in the house of my dreams! This place is incredible! The open, airy floorplan, private masterbedroom, and especially the private outdoor shower (there's an indoor shower too!). I ate avocados, bananas, coconuts, papaya, and even cherries off the trees. 30 minutes from the beaches, and not 10 minutes from where Akoni Pule Highway dead ends at the breathtaking view of Pololu Valley, coming "home" to this place makes you feel like your a part of this island.
