Attached to the main house is a mother-in-law unit that is perfect for the couple that just wants to get away from it all. Located directly on the edge of the tranquil Wainiha River, our quests get the magic sounds that sing you to sleep at night and the clean island water, perfect to soak in after a hot day at the beach.

Kauai is known for its healing waters and majestic mountains, both of which are abundant on the North Shore. The most spectacular beaches on Kauai are easily assessable from Rivers Edge. Tunnels Beach, which has the best snorkeling on the island, is a short 8 minute drive. The historic Na Pali Coast trail starts just 3 miles from the house and shuttle service can be arranged if needed. Here you can journey 4 miles into the breathtaking Hanakapi’ai Falls, a 300 foot waterfall you can swim under. Hanalei bay is a two mile stretch of fine sand perfect for any ocean adventure. We provide snorkel gear, coolers and beach chairs for visitors along with advice as to the best beaches to visit depending on weather and wave conditions.

From your private covered deck, you can enjoy the abundance of tropical birds that grace the property. The rental unit comes with guide books to help educate you throughout your visit. In addition, Matt and Laura, who live in the main house are available to enhance your vacation. They offer on-site river front yoga instruction, private chef service, hiking and snorkeling guides, on-site massage and much much more.
