The BEST house for big group Reunion

We just got back from a week at Chapmandue over July 4th 2011. It was perfect! We are picky about quality and cleanliness and it exceeded our expectations. 3 Generations of 15 people (It sleeps so many more) enjoyed every amenity, and we had tons of privacy and space and did not feel on top of each other at all. The Moms LOVED the beautiful well-equiped kitchen: 2 Dishwashers, 4 fridges, 2 freezers, an ice maker, 2 sinks, tons of extra touches that made you feel like you had a B&B of your very own. Plus 2 washers and dryers for all the clothes. We also loved that every bedroom had its own toilet, most shared a shower room, but you had your own bathroom and sink which made it extra private and relaxing. The bathrooms felt brand new and very clean. Master suite was lovely. The kids loved the foosball table, pool table, horseshoes, outdoor fireplace for roasting marshmallows, sandy beach, canoe, dock for swimming and boating (we rented a boat for the week, made it extra fun for tubing etc.) They loved going across the lake for an ice cream. The men enjoyed going on errands via boat to pick up milk or beer or ice cream. The teenagers loved the giant screen tv in the basement, and the private comfy chair nooks for reading. Do plan your first grocery run well, so you don't have to go via ferry for supplies often. We did pretty well on meal planning up front. We also bought cooked Lobsters in town of Raymond and brought them back for a feast which was fun. All in all a superb experience, and a very accommodating owner and responsive property manager. Would for sure love to rent it again!

oh my goodness, where do i begin and how much room do i have? there are way too many amazing details to possibly include everything. my high school friends (class of 1986) and all of our families rented this home and it couldn't have been more perfect accomodations. everything and anything to keep the 10 kids and the 8 adults fully entertained and comfortable. jumping off the dock, enjoying the private beach, having s'mores by the fireplace, visiting the pools, tennis courts, rec. center, ice cream store, jet skiing, tubing, catching all sorts of critters....the list goes on. we had an incredible vacation and will definitely book this place in the future. oh, and one more thing, john and dee, the very gracious owners sent detailed info, checked with us a few times prior to our week to see if there was anything we required and even had a fun welcome banner for us when we arrived!! it made me cry! anyway, i would absolutely reccommend this home (and it really is a home rather than a cottage set-up) to anyone looking to accomodate a large group who want to be close in quarters but also have the space and activities to do their own thing when they want to. FABULOUS! thank you so very much! chandra olson

We had a great week - the weather has been perfect. Your house was very comfortable for our family and very nicely equipped - we found everything to make it truly feel like home; right down to the stroller for our Great Grandson..

This place had it all and more! Swim, golf, water ski, tube, walk, run, eat and cut-throat UNO games each night. We took a chance on the place and location after finding it on the internet; it was worth every penny. Our last family reunion was 13 yers ago; this trip will change that!! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your place. The memories will last a long time! Tim Emerson

My wife and I (and family) have rented this "cottage" twice. The house has every amentity needed for a large group. The owner (John) has been quite accomidating in 2 requests I have requested. On the water, beautiful house, great for my large family, and the most relaxing time. Pick a day to go off island to pick up supplies, and spend the rest of the time at the house/Frye Island.

We spent our 15th family vacation at your beautiful home. We had plenty of room & we really loved the kitchen - even with 21 people! The weather was great and the lake was even better. The kids loved the bidet - they thought it was a sink! We've never sayed at a place where no one had to wait in line for the bathroom and we never ever ran out of hot water. There was plenty of room for us to be together or spend time apart.

With gratitude and praise from the POWERS that be. And they said it couldn't be done. 4 Grand Parents, 6 families with 14 kids, 1 bachelor + g-friend; kinda like an expanded Noah's Ark. THis place is like going to a resort. Unbelievable!
