The home provided a relaxing and comfortable setting for my family. It was well-equipped and well-maintained. The large master bedroom and bath along with two other bedrooms and a half bath on the main floor provided adequate space. The loft with its outdoor balcony gave an adult member of the family some privacy, too. Explicit instructions and information that the owners supplied for us were extremely helpful. My family had a wonderful experience, and we would recommend this vacation rental to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This house was exactly what we wanted. All of the main attractions were within a reasonable distance, but we had privacy at the house. Our family especially enjoyed exploring the Black Hills National Forest right out the back door. The kids loved the loft area upstairs. All in all, it worked perfectly for our family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

we stayed here for 5 nights and wished it had been for longer. The owners were very helpful and arranging our stay was easy. The refund of our damage deposit met us when we arrived home. completely isolated and peaceful. we had beautiful weather and were able to sit out under the stars by the fire at night, with bats flying close by,It was a short drive in to Custer for the attractions and evening meals .We were very impressed with the crazy horse monument and would have loved to have spent a little more time in Keystone. Missed out on the jewel caves as the tours were all booked up so if you plan to visit there make a reservation. House very spacious. kids enjoyed the upstairs were we played jenga.place was lovely and clean and had everything you would need for an enjoyable peaceful holiday. I'd recommend this to anyone who liked the outdoorsRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

12 members from our family stayed in this cabin for a few days in August (ages ranged from 50 yrs old to 18 months old). We all enjoyed our stay and hope to do it again. The home is very spacious and very kid-friendly. This was a great get-away for our family; filled laughter, fun and memories. Sue put together a wonderful packet filled with information about the home and attractions in the area. This was a wonderful family to work with. Thank you once again for sharing your home with our family!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

Six of my family stayed in this house the first week of August. It met all our expectations. The owners were great to work with. The location is secluded but a quick drive from Custer. All Black Hills attractions are within an easy drive. We loved reading on the deck, having an outdoor fire with smores, and watching the breathtaking starlit sky. We were greeted with deer grazing in the morning. Can't get this in the city! We also enjoyed the information the owners provided about their favorite restaurants and tried a few out.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is a lovely off-highway house with a spiral staircase to a loft. There are 2 decks and a back porch with a fire pit. We loved wearing jackets and cooking smores while watching satellites, shooting stars and constellations off the back porch while the rest of the midwest was sweating in humidity. The house is clean, well stocked, and well decorated. Teenagers enjoyed the loft (accessed by the spiral staircase).. Decks for reading are available off the living room. The location is within easy drives of all Black Hills sites. Check out the jewelry in Deadwood. I have pieces from this same store that I have purchased over the last 20 years. The end of the season sales are greatRecommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This entry is slightly delayed but better late than never:) We had such a peaceful and restful stay at this property in August during the Sturgis Rally. What an incredible area and home! Our dogs had a blast playing in the fields and enjoying the exploration of history and scenery. Well done on your home. It's very wam, inviting and oh so comfortable. Thanks so much!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

One of our best stays ever. All my aunts and uncles were attending a family reunion in Custer, SD. The home was just far enough off the highway to make it quiet and peaceful, but close enough to towns to make it convenient. I cant thank the family enough for providing their home for our convenience. even the bunkhouse was a perfect space to add that extra guest! Thanks again MarkDid you find this review helpful?
